Great stay in Russell

The longer we stayed here the more we liked it! The location is wonderful - just a very short walk to downtown Russell with shops and restaurants. And what you get in exchange is an incredible view! Bed was the comfiest of our trip - cushy and soft but not saggy at all. Good a/c but nice to have the doors open in the daytime. Lots of good walks and we swam a few times at the beach that was 2 minutes away. Great stay!

A luxurious stay with access to everything!

The rooms were very spacious with stunning views of the bay, mine more so than my parents (view was partly blocked by shrubs). The hosts were so helpful and amazing. We were running late from a trip coming back and Catherine took off my mum's washing from the line and folded them so neatly and put them within easy access, we were so touched by that! Thanks so much Catherine!!

As the rooms are downstairs, it's not very soundproof so you can hear people walking upstairs and moving stuff/talking loudly. Of course this didn't happen all day/night so if you're an early sleeper/light sleeper, this might bother you slightly.

beautiful rooms up the hill behind Russell centre

absolutely immaculate rooms. Catherine and Stewart have thought of EVERYTHING to make a stay in one of their rooms as comfortable as being in your own home. plenty plugpoints for recharging, a bin in the room and one in the bathroom, mosquito repellent, towels to take to the beach etcetc

one must be fit to climb up the VERY steep driveway back to the lodge

The accommodation was superb and everything was to a high standard we wish we had stayed for a longer period. The location was also perfect for sightseeing and restaurants all within walking distance.

Great place to stay , with great hosts and fantastic views.

The owners were really friendly on arrival and made us feel really welcome, Bellrock accommodation is absolutely perfect with everything you need at hand for a perfect stay , as for the location the views from the balcony are stunning , Bellrock Lodge and Russell Town is a must stay if visiting New Zealand ,

Treat yourself... stay here!

Fantastic stay! The room is Comfortable in every way. The bed was among the best we've had in 115 days of travel. The view is such a treat. And the town of Russell is exceptional. We were sorry to only have one night. Would have preferred to stay longer rather than be passing through.

It was all good for us. Being up a bit of a hill might be an issue for some.

Spacious bathroom and room Well stocked kitchen utensils to enable eating in the unit Hosts' extra touches like a coffee machine in the room, water bottles provided, chocolate fish on arrival Large bath towels Hosts available and rapid with response to problem with microwave / oven Beautiful view Laundry dried and folded for us unexpectedly

Needing to have minor improvement made in the unit during our stay and a faulty oven/microwave which needed replacement We would have liked warning of the very steep drive and road given our physical abilities.

First class acoomodation.

Extremely well appointed room with everything and more, Modern, clean, great views what more do you need.

Not so much a criticism but the floor at the end of the bed was squeaking when you walked on it and I found the bed very firm but others might love it.

Nice to get away but the room was loud, driveway is awful, No cleaning or making up of room is bad

We did not have breakfast
