Sehr gepflegt. Tolle, freundliche Inhaber. Super Frühstück. Schöner Blick. Kurzer Weg zur Stadt und zum Strand. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Parkplatz vor oder hinter dem Haus vorhanden.

From the friendly welcome from John and Amy through to the well presented and very clean and confirmable room to the excellent full English Breakfast, there was nothing to complain about during our stay. Even at the end John kindly allowed us to leave our car on the site for a few hours while we grabbed some last minute beach time. A thoroughly great few days, and we're very happy to recommend Geckos Rest.
There was nothing not to like. If I was really pressed the toilet/shower was slightly small, but that was indicated in the information prior to booking. No, really, nothing was not to like.

Lovely B&B!
There are absolutely incredible views of the sea from the hotel’s windows. Perfect location, it’s very close to the sea, city centre and some of the attractions of Newquay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, great variety of food for you to chose, always fresh and tasty. Very nice hosts, it’s always pleasant to have a chat with them. Rooms are always clean and you can find everything you need in there, there also is a very cosy atmosphere. Lounge is so cool, perfect common area to sit with your drink, play games, watch something or even read a book. If you run out of your snacks or milk and coffee from the room, you always can purchase some snacks and take coffee and fresh milk for free. 10/10!

Lovely place. Nice and quiet. Great breakfast made by Amy! The server John was not too bad either! His knowledge and tips for exploring were much appreciated. Couple of minutes walk to town centre. Clean and tidy and well presented property. Would stay again.

Everything about Geckos Rest was spot on - couldn't find fault with anything.
Room was clean, fresh and modern. Breakfast choices were great and cooked exactly as you preferred.

Very convenient location, you can roam around all central locations in Newquay without a car. Also the room was comfortable and clean, the hosts very attentive and professional and it also attracts good crowd (fellow guests).

This was a return visit as we enjoyed our stay so much last year. Amy and John are superb hosts and can’t do enough for you. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the breakfast was delicious and the room facilities were great. It’s a short walk to the town and there are so many lovely walks near by. I’m sure we’ll be going back again!

The location was amazing, only a few minutes walk into town. Free parking is also available when you book, which was an added bonus!
The view from our sea view room was incredible. It was amazing to wake up to in the morning and see the sunset at night too. The room was so clean, a great size and the bed was so comfy!
John and Amy were the best hosts, so welcoming and made our check in simple, helping us to our room and were happy to help with any of our needs. John waited on us at breakfast and was so helpful with any questions we had about where to eat in Newquay and the best places to go.
There was a great choice of food at breakfast from cereal, fruit and yogurts to breakfast sandwich, lighter cooked breakfast and full English.
The whole stay was amazing, we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be returning to Geckos Rest when we visit Newquay again!

The property location was fantastic for Newquay and to use as a base for visiting more of Cornwall. The room was really nice, with a great shower, huge bed and was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts was superb. Amy and John are both lovely people who are always on hand should you need anything. A faultless stay and experience. Thank you both

Location absolutely perfect - 5 minute walk from town centre and walking distance to harbour, beaches, bus station, restaurants etc. Beautiful room with amazing view and super clean. Incredibly friendly and accommodating hosts with a delicious breakfast. An all round brilliant stay, we couldn’t have had a better time!
