Staff were fantastic, Candice on reception was exceptional. Eco concept is to be applauded. Restaurant is great. Went on the safari ride into Addo Elephant National Park with Phillip - well worth the cost, saw over 200 elephants
Breakfast was extra cost and could have included fruit, yoghurt and granola as help yourself rather than part of "cooked" option.

The location was perfect for visiting Addo Elephant Park. Secure location with nice garden grounds. A nice restaurant on the premises. The room was nicely appointed in African theme.
We unfortunately experienced load shedding a few times while staying there which made the room and dining experience cold.

Really beautiful

Nicely decorated, large room with everything you need. Nice bathroom and very clean.
Breakfast, however not included, was excellent and of high quality (crêpes with chocolate and croissants)
I can imagine that in summer the pool-area and shared spaces (like fireplace) are a plus!
Only 10 minutes away from Addo Elephant Park, so just a short drive early in the morning.
Located on a noisy road. We had a cabin at the back of the estate, so it was okay, but if you have one more in front, it's maybe not so pleasant. Doorbell at the gate didn't work so had to call to let us in (and we didn't have a local number, so it's expensive)
Heather was not large enough for the room (all heath seems to disappear instantly).
Had to ask multiple times for extra blankets and got 2 small ones. During winter time, it's maybe interesting to provide standard in each room.
Breakfast should be included or added as an option, since there's not a lot nearby.

An absolutely beautiful and authentic stay! If you find yourself in the area, this is a must-visit place. The charming houses exuded authenticity and the restaurant was fantastic. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The rustic nature of the property made it very appealing and was also very comfortable. Also the availability to use the Hotel's Transport and Driver to tour Addo Elephant Park which is nearby.
Load Shedding is the current curse of South Africa . The Manager assured me that the owners are investing in Solar Panels and Inverters to mitigate the problem.

Difficult to find in the dark - sinage could be illuminated.

To start off, we had high expectations of the lodge - which is always a bad start.
At arrival, we had a rather obligatory tour of the receptionist, had a feeling she didn't like it at all. But the scenery is great, everything is very well maintained - garden - flowers - pool - lodge. Lodge was clean and everything was there we needed. Eco-friendly was the main focus - which was really nice to see - quality in hormony with nature.
The restaurant was outstanding in comparison with the food we ate during our 22 day stay in South-Africa. Also breakfast was really good.
Location was OK, close to Addo Elephant Park. Safari can be booked, but a self-drive is also possible. On the other hand, the lodge was located near a railway and a railroad crossing. In South Africa, trains announce their passage at the railroad crossing by using their horn as from 500m before the passage. During the day - not a problem at all - during night it isn't pleasant...
We enjoyed our stay but wouldn't come back if we visit South Africa again.
Noise of the trains close to the lodge

Very convenient location. Excellent facilities: excellent cuisine, possibility to book game drives etc. The cottages were stunning, as was the relaxing lounge. Will definitely stay again!

Addo African Home blew our minds, even better than expected. Sadly we could only stay for one night, but the memories will live on.
Beautiful in every way, from the amazing natural pool which was a dream to swim in, to the room, to the restaurant. A very special place, and wonderful staff, especially this morning’s waiters who were the loveliest, warmest people and made my morning!

Nice location very close to the Addo Elephant Park, nice restaurant on the premises!! The setting is beautiful, and the staff is kind.
The beds are rather small for two and hard. The staff at reception seems rather lost although polite and nice.

Comfortable hut for our one night stay. The grounds are lovely, with a very relaxed feel to the place, and the restaurant on site was excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and there are communal facilities such as tea & coffee station, plus a natural swimming pool and a roaming donkey :) Overall a great stay.

Beautiful place with lots of charm. Staff were very welcoming and the garden is lovely. We loved the natural swimming pool and dinner was amazing! Short drive to see the elephants in the national park.
At night we were attacked by mosquitoes!
The mosquito net over the bed wasn’t really big enough to work well, so we highly recommend you bring mosquito repellent and use it at bedtime.

Beautiful cozy rondavels (huts), with great beds, aircon, a nice bathroom and a natural pool. Good restaurant on site (Molololo). Great breakfast. Friendly housekeeping an restaurant staff.
Traveling with a child we booked the family room with a double and two single beds. Instead, we got a deluxe room with no single beds. They tried to help with a baby cot, but we ended up sleeping with 3 in the double bed. Nothing was done to compensate for this, no excuse made. However, the room was nice.

Shower (and so our whole room) smelled like rotten eggs, WiFi didn't work, no power generation, please be careful with the breakfasts, we thought that we booked a stay including breakfast, but at the end they charged us for it without mentioning anything at the check-in or during the breakfasts we had.

Nice traditional rondavels. This accomodation is very eco consciousness. They have a natural swimming pool, are sparingly with water and in their restaurant they serve local and seasonal products.
Great spot to visit Addo Elephant Park. We made a day safari to Addo organised by Addo African Home. We have had a nice tour with our guide Philip.
Be aware that once in a while a train pass by that use its horn to warn it is coming.

Really nice place, nice houses. The houses are small but comfortable. The garden is really nice and the natural pool refreshing. Personel really friendly and helpful! The restaurant located beautifully and serving some nice, high quality dishes!
The bathroom in the rondavel is not all to practical, but that is easy to deal with given the great place Addo African Home is.

This is the perfect place when visiting Addo. The location and the facilities are beautiful, they pay a lot of attention to sustainability, you can cool down and relax in the pool, the food served in the restaurant is delicious and staff is very friendly. For our excursion to the Elephant Park we had ordered a picnic basket which was prepared with so much care and really made our day.
