The location is fantastic, only a few blocks away from the center. The rooms are spacious and were clean, overall. The hotel is "themed", displaying various lovely indigenous attires in the hallways with a description of each indigenous group. The staff are very nice and friendly.

Payment was a very slow process and they issued little receipts for everything which one had to sign (to register, to get the invoice, to get a remote control). The shower was horrible: very thin and few jets of water came out of the shower, which was placed so high that one needed to move from tiny jet to tiny jet to get wet & rinsed. My sheets had a big stain (they had been washed but the dark stain was very visible). The bed was otherwise comfortable. Any noise made outside (including what I thought might be the water pump) is amplified in the room. The curtains are white, so they don't block the light. There was no place to hang a hand towel by the sink (which was in a separate room as the shower). No blow drier either, so lucky I brought my own.
