Highly recommended, everything was perfect with attention to details…
Very friendly and attentive staff, spacious and very clean lodge, delicious food
Special thanks to our guide Sivi who made our stay so special and unforgettable!
only tiny con: the exit from the main road could be better signposted, but otherwise there was nothing negative about the resort itself!

Loooooooved the staff and the food. The game drive was my first experience and I absolutely loved it too. Our guide was amazing.
Room didn’t look like it was mopped before our arrival and during our stay. Bathroom floor was a little sticky and dirty.

The staff and rangers here were beyond amazing! So friendly knowledgeable and nothing at all was to much to ask. The rooms were huge comfortable, clean with incredible views. The food was so tasty and there was no chance of ever going hungry.
The game drives often had me completely over whelmed, the proximity we got to most of the animals was out of this world and the amount of information we got about them from our amazing Ranger Denise was as fascinating. Her passion for what she does was infectious and was clear to see how much she cared for the wildlife.
We stayed for 3 nights but wish we had 3 more. Having to leave was very emotional but I will certainly be back and can not wait!
That I had to leave :(

This was a bucket list trip for me to fulfill a dream I’ve had since I was a little girl. it fulfilled all my dreams and more. Thank you Pumba for all, especially your employees who made us feel so welcome.
I didn’t pack conditioner for my hair feeling positive a high price first class resort would have it in the rooms. instead they had “conditioning shampoo” which curly haired people in the world know doesn’t cut it.

having been lucky enough to visit many game lodges in SA, Pumba is the best in our opinion. the balance of land v animals v guests is perfect. it was a joy to spend quality time with so many lions, elephants, hippos etc. the lodge dining room has a beautiful view of a large lake, as do the comfortable rooms. food good and Ryan made great cocktails. Best of all was our safari guide Denise, thank you Pumba
greeted by a group of 24 with 13 children who stayed 2 days. so meals were disrupted!
Meat tough but food excellent otherwise

Luxurious accommodation in beautiful setting. Everything was very well organised. The rangers are all so knowledgeable and very clever at finding the animals. We got really close to elephants, giraffe, white lions, tawny lions, rhinos and other animals.

The game reserve was fantastic
The evening meals were very disappointing, we spoke to many other guests who all felt the same. If the food was improved, this reserve would be 10 out of 10 all the way.

We had the most incredible 3 days at Water Lodge on Puma Game Reserve. The whole experience massively exceeded our expectations. Our ranger Denise was a joy to spend time with, so knowledgable and passionate about all the plants and animals. The rooms are incredible, super spacious and complete with a wood burner, views of the watering hole and a gigantic bathroom. The food was delicious throughout our stay and the staff were delightful. If this is your first time doing Safari, don’t think twice. Pumba is the perfect place to start.

Absolutely fabulous 2-day safari where our family of ten saw the big 5 and many other animals with outstanding educational ranger. Rooms and lodge for us 10 at Msenge lodge was outstanding with mind blowing views and great staff.
Expensive but well worth it. Zero critiques. we have been to 6 safari lodges in South Africa - Pumba was the best.

we spend two nights as a family in the bush lodge. we did game drives for the first time. so we do not have a comparison. the game drives are amazing. the bush lodge is in a spectacular location. rooms are luxury, clean, well maintained. rangers are very friendly and competent. it was real fun to spend time with them. SPA massage was great and gym is also in good condition.
if I apply the luxury standard at the corresponding price , in my opinion the food and the service in the restaurant is below that level and below the level of rest of the game Resort (rangers, SPa, room service etc) The food is good but not excellent. missing the extraordinary which you can have in several places in SA. not bad but not excellent. same with the service. Polite but not really warm hearted. especially because you can experience fun and happiness everywhere in South Africa, but not in this area of the Ressort. we had not the feeling that employees in the restaurant really enjoy what they are doing. nothing you would complain under normal circumstances but in the luxury area.

Our stay at Pumba was amazing. We stayed in water lodge and had amazing views overlooking the lake as well as the plains. Rooms were comfortable and cosy. Staff even came in and lit a fire at night to keep room warm. Food was great as well as the wine. Our game drives were awesome. A special mention to our game driver and ranger Denise. She was so informative and passionate about what she does. She caters to what the guests wants and lets them prioritise what they want to see on the drives. I can't say enough good things about her. Overall we had an amazing stay at Pumba and would recommend it to anyone.

Our time at Pumba was pure magic. We stayed for seven days, at both lodges, and had one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. We will treasure these memories forever. Every member of Pumba’s staff, from the gardeners to the guides, went above and beyond to deliver the most outstanding hospitality. No detail is forgotten and everything was truly perfect - from the wonderful and creative food created by the chefs to the totally relaxing spa experience with Cindy. Though the website and photos are amazing, the lodges are somehow even more beautiful in person. A special thank you to our wonderful guide Gladman - who is equal parts enthusiastic, knowledgeable and loving towards the wildlife which Pumba takes such huge effort to conserve. Gladman made every one of our 14 game drives special and unique. His amazing sense of humour and passion for the wildlife made every moment on the game drives truly awe inspiring.
Enkosi, enkosi, enkosi!

Beautiful lodge overlooking a plain and mountain ridge where you constantly see animals from the restaurant deck or your bungalow every day. Knowledgeable rangers passionate about the animals creating wonderful game drives.

the best place I have ever stayed at! starting with the game drives, we had the best ranger, Wayne, who was so dedicated and taught us so much, we had the most amazing time with him! the facility is also incredible, our room had an unbelievable view with giraffes, elephants and zebras walking around during the daytime which we could admire from our private pool. the room was always clean, the food was incredible and the service was top notch.
absolutely nothing!

Pumba is a first-class facility with an excellent staff. We had a fantastic time. Our guide, Thomas, was as enthusiastic to see the animals as we were and he is extremely knowledgeable as well. The game drives were essentially private and we had as much time to spend and watch the animals as we wished without other cars around, which was very relaxing. The whole facility is beautiful and we saw wildlife from the deck of our bungalow the entire day. I recommend it highly!
