Amazing hostel! Probably the beset one i've ever visited. The staff was very helpful, everything very clean, rooms cleaned every day. Breakfast was better than expected, for a continental one - they had freshly baked scones and fresh porridge. The receptionist also helped me to sign up for a tour which was great.

Me pareció una habitación pequeña para 6 personas.

The staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone is very friendly and supportive, the shared kitchen was clean and welcoming with free coffee, tea and even hot chocolate. The whole hostel has a very nice and warm atmosphere which will make you feel at home. If I ever come back to Galway again, I would choose the same accommodation.

I did not personally stay here- I booked for my son and he had lovely things to say about this location
Everything from the food to the room

The entire hostel 2 night stay was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
From location to staff to breakfast; room was spotless clean; breakfast was super - fresh healthy options and plenty of it 👏
The option of leaving luggage in a safe space until we needed to go to the train station today was such a nice option. We loved Kinlay Hostel, will recommend and definately will return.
Nothing ! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rooms were nice & beds had privacy curtain. Breakfast was minimal but good. Staff were absolutely lovely :) Great location as well and wonderful shared spaces for relaxation!

I like my group of girls in the room, facilities for tea, fridge and relaxation area. Also enjoyed the standard fan in the room. Aso the lift. Save me hassle after a long day coming back from work

The bed was comfy and there was a curtain to separate you from the rest of the room. There were plenty of electrical sockets attached to the bed, and you can rent a travel adapter from reception for a deposit of 5€. There are spacious drawers under the beds for your luggage, which can be locked with a padlock. You can rent a padlock from reception for a deposit of 5€. The shared bathroom is down the corridor; there are plenty of toilets, mirrors and shower stalls with plentiful hot water and liquid soap. There's also a hair dryer for the guests' use. The kitchen can be used for cooking by the guests throughout the day; it's closed at night and reserved for staff during breakfast. The breakfast was great; there weren't too many options, but there was exactly what I was hoping for, cereal, some pastries and fruit. Tea and coffee are free throughout the day. There's excellent WiFi available for the guests. The location is excellent - right next to Eyre Square, the train station and the restaurant streets. Many tour buses leave from outside the hostel. The staff is very helpful.
I happened to share a room with some very loud people, who would also cause a ruckus in the hallway at night. I know that's not something the hostel can be responsible for, but perhaps a security guard could have come and reasoned with them. The next night, apparently, a security guard was seen in the hallways, so I guess the first night was just a loophole.

Great location in the city centre, a couple minutes walk to the train and bus station. The kitchen has all utensils and is easy to use to make dinners. The delicious banana bread is baked by the staff and served for breakfast.
I wish breakfast had a little more options like scrambled eggs or different types of bread.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Plenty of power sockets, toilets and showers. The bed curtains are a bonus. Very good choice for breakfast. Excellent location. I would certainly stay here again if I come back to Galway

Great location. Clean facilities. Helpful staff.
I was in a room 203 with three bunk beds. It was tight.

Squeaky luggage box hinges under bed disturbed 1 roommate.
Lack of coat/light bag wall hooks.
Lack of decaffeinated tea bags.
Sugar in the hot chocolate, rather than cocoa as an alternative.
Squeezy honey keeps jamming up & needed a teaspoon to get it out: ALDI has a great alternative that looks like a chunk of honeycomb.
