The farm and the country scene.

Loma Wasi was an AMAZING place. My husband and adult son enjoyed a wonderful evening and morning in the company of Mercedes and her family. She gave us a tour of her beautiful vegetable and flower garden (with the help of our guide who translated) and prepared a delicious simple dinner. We slept comfortably with the farm noises nudging us awake early the next day to enjoy the eggs and pancake breakfast. We will be talking about this one night for a long time. Remarkable.

We stayed two nights at this beautiful farm. The family is very friendly. Señora Mercedes showed us a nice mirador and took us with her el bring back the cows. We loved the pigs. The food was delicious! Gracias, Señora Mercedes para todo!

The farm is nice and the rooms are really neat with a beautiful view.

The opportunity to have a peek at the rural life in indigenous village, conversing with the hosts was great. The children were charming. The food was simple but good. The mountain view from the room was superb. The room was squeaky clean. It was a bit chilly but perfectly comfortable when I took refuge under the bed covers.

I was hoping to do / see more of the farm life / walks that are mentioned in the description, but that did not seem to be available at the time. When I asked I was told I could walk around in the village, but since every house has free roaming dogs, I felt a bit cautious and stuck to the vicinity of the house. I was also showed a couple of chickens and some guinea pigs. To be fair, I did not make activity arrangements in advance and did not insist a lot, just spent an afternoon reading with a beautiful mountain view in front of me. So better either ask in advance for something to do or have a plan for activities elsewhere. Of course once you get to the location, you need either your own car or to get a taxi to go anywhere else.

The experience was great! Staying with the family and experiencing their way of life was humbling. Loved to have had meals with the family and the opportunity to walk around the area and see their way of life!

Not a dislike - just a note - difficult to locate - taxi drivers had a difficult time..

All the food was excellent. The view on the Imbabura mountain was breathtaking! The room was very spacious! The hospitality was excellent!
