Nice, clean and well equipped bedroom and bathroom. Excellent food and restaurant service - both complimentary and a la carte menu. Very nice beach at your doorstep. Incredible and responsive staff.
Low-powered backup generator for when lights went out. Evening refills of complimentary supplies should't be a thing. That should be done as part of regular housekeeping run in the morning.

Booked two rooms. Upon arrival they only had one room available and wanted the driver to stay in dirty room used for service staff. The guest room showed online was also not available and they wanted to give us another room. We decided to leave and go to the property next door which though smaller was cleaner and had good service.

The location is great. Near the beach. The staff are very nice and helpful. The rooms are good. We really liked the Ghanaian food. They have a rich variety of dishes.

A mere steps from the beach! The rooms are comfy. The rooftop restaurant is perfect as well. Food is so delicious and can be ordered anytime of the day. The staff is excellent. Super close to the town Elmina. I loved my week+ long stay in Ankwanda. Perfect stay for our budget as well. I look forward to my return!
They need more staff for the rooftop restaurant.

Great location, about a 20 mins drive to Elmina. The room was big and spacious.
The food was not the best. Didn’t enjoy the food.

I loved everything about my stay at the Beach House and if I could I would return every year: the lovely staff, the delicious restaurant and the amazing cooks, the quiet and clean rooms, the good bed, the rooftop with a view worth 100 photos, the daily coconuts … the beach stretches beautifully , you can even walk to Elmina (1h30). You can also stroll in the village, see the daily arrival of fishermen in their wooden pirogue … they can help you connect with very reliable driver and also make several activities. the lovely staff is probably the highlight of this beautiful place. the swimming pools that were now in construction look amazing. the owner, Eunice, has provided many helps even before I arrive.

i loved everything: the rooms are clean and well decorated, they have everything functioning. the restaurant has plenty of choice including vegan , smoothies were delicious, the daily coconut on the rooftop terrace with a view on the line of coconut trees … the beach is beautiful. and the staff is amazing. always nice, always helping.
when you start your trip with this hotel, it’s difficult to find better after …

Dinner was fantastic that set the stage for a restful night.. The rooms were quiet, clean, with working hot water and A/C. The breakfast in tbe morning was great. My family enjoyed the variety of food items that were cooked to order and fresh.

Nothing, standard breakfast which was included in the charge for the one night stay was very poor. What was presented online was not the standard breakfast. The standard breakfast was a cup of tea with 3 flat bread and two fried eggs. Anything beyond that was expected to be paid for, which I thought was expensive, and the difference was just two additional sausages and two slices of bacon. The tables were bare, the toilets was also next door to the kitchen and there was a dog loitering about there while guest were having their breakfast.
I didn't like anything there because I have even lodged in one start hotels in Europe which are far better than this one. Two different guest towels and one was very hard. No soap for showering or even washing your hands after the use of the facilities. The supposed desk for guest to write on if there is the need was so atrocious. There was no wardrobe provided, a TV with a hand full of channels, nothing to enjoy. The only good facility was the air-conditioner. I also believe the dollar rate used to convert the fee was awfully high. Two days prior to our stay at this place, we stayed at The Royal Senchi Resort at Atimpoku , the rate used was 10.50 ghs, but the rate used here was 11.91 ghs

Unlike other hotels and resorts near Elmina, this property is right on the beach and not behind a ‘sea defense’ wall. If you walk west on the beach you can walk for 6km during low tides and it flattens out about halfway, making it ideal for jogging. The food at the rooftop restaurant is varied and delicious. The building is very well constructed and the rooms are very comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and seem happy to work there.
It’s surprising to see any negative reviews of this place. One review mentioned lots of kids being around but the novelty of foreigners must have worn off by the time we stayed there. This property also might not appeal as much to wealthy Ghanians who want a good bar and western dishes and don’t want proximity to local fishermen and a fishing village.
I still think they should offer bottles of wine - more couples than you think would go for it! And it wouldn’t be a big investment to buy 10 reds and a few whites; after all, the reds just get better with age.

Quiet and perfectly located by the beach.
Simple but good. Spacious room with comfortable bed.
Nice beach walk Eastward towards Elmina.

Very relaxing spot, very clean, and nice beach, the best one we have seen around Accra, much clearer that we have seen in other areas. The staff is very friendly and chilled, and the food is delicious, truly home made from scratch for you!

The hotel was beautiful and really well decorated. Staff were very helpful and I had everything I needed.
Food was great! The hotel is located directly on the beach so you get great views all the time and have easy access to the beach. I will definitely be coming back again!!
The WIFI was very temperamental for my whole stay but my friends was ok so not sure what was wrong. We did have a power cut for a few hrs but it was not the end of the world.
Directions to the hotel need to be updated as it was a little hard to find it, but staff were very helpful and stayed on the phone to guide us.

The Beach House is situated outside the touristic hotspots, next to a local fishermen village. Very nice atmosphere in the house but also on the beautiful beaches, no hustlers or other annoyances. It is a very relaxing environment. The owners are continuosly working on improvement of their place, they hope to have the swimming pool ready by the end of june 2023. Also the food is really nice, limited menu of typical Ghanian food but all prepared with high standards, kudos to the chefs. I will surely come back here on my next visit to Ghana.

The beach was really beautiful (left side of the lodge) so it had a pretty view. There aren’t a lot of options in the area to stay, so it was practical. It was fairly basic but it was clean. The food was good, it just took a long time.
The service was quite slow and lethargic and not very good. It’s not their fault, I think they just lack the proper training, and I would implore to owner to be more hands-on in ensuring that they have all the ingredients and that they are proactive, attentive and more energetic.

It is right on the beach- great location. All the food was fantastic. I can't tolerate spicy foods and they always accommodated my tastes and reduced the spices. Breakfast included hot, grilled, homemade local bread and fresh fruit. The restaurant is open-air on the top floor, cool and breezy in the evening. The staff was terrific. They were always helpful, friendly, and pleasant, especially Kobi.
