Wonderful stay @ the fantastic Casa Raiola

The property was absolutely beautiful, incredibly spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The host was amazing, brilliant communications with us recommending local drivers for our journey’s & a local restaurant to eat - the food was delicious.

exceptionally cool place. they were very nice and helpful. drove us to restaurant too

a beautiful place. only problem we had was with air conditioning and the owner didn't get back to us to fix it. they said it was working before we came but the remotes didn't work and we couldn't get them on. it was warm so hard to sleep well. but the place and people were very nice and lovely.

air conditioning didn't work in bedrooms - only living room area - tried circuit breakers but still didn't work. the owner said he'd be back to us but never replied. it was after 10pm when we got back to room so it was disappointment he never got back to us.

Luxurious hotel, peaceful and spacious with a beautiful garden and pool. Staff excellent.

Beautiful hotel, a haven of calm and 20 mins walking distance to the Ercolano site which is what we went to see

The area is difficult without a car. Our choice, but lots of walking to restaurants and the station! The hosts were brilliant though at arranging a transfer from Naples airport and on check out , a taxi to our next destination on the Amalfi coast.

Great staff and facilities!

We had a fantastic couple of days at Casa Raiola. It’s a great spot to get to Herculaneum and Pompeii. On our arrival we were late meeting some friends nearby. We asked about arranging a cab but the owner insisted on driving us himself. Above and beyond! All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was large and had AC throughout. There’s a mini bar well stocked and reasonably priced. There was also a communal area with sofas etc. which was actually a very large space. Breakfast served in the ground floor was decent. The pool is quite small but very nice at the end of the day. 200m at the bottom of the road is a hotel on the beach with several pools that members of the public can pay to get into. We did this and it was worth it for a day.

It's an unforgettable experience to stay in this beautiful authentic castle. I have never seen hotel, were you feel like at home. It's decorated in a very elegant manner. Big thanks and a great respect to owners! Breakfast is delicious, all staff is extremely service minded. Swimming pool in the late evening is so refreshing. In a few words it's an island of elegance and coziness in a busy city. Looking forward to meeting you soon again!

A beautiful property, great breakfast

The air conditioning in the room was basically non-functional. The hotel appeared to be occupied by a number of the owner's friends and family who were loud and indiscreet, treating the place like their home, which made us feel uncomfortable about being in communal areas. This hotel also calls itself a 'spa' but the only evidence I can see of this is a tiny 2m x 2m pool.

Great place for vacations

Our staying was amazing. The room was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. We also love the view. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. They arranged a taxi for us, and as we checked out before breakfast, they gave us a delicious cornetto and a coffee. We totally love them!

It is located a little far from train station by foot, specially when carrying luggage. Make sure to request a taxi beforehand, Hotel staff can book one for you, we didn't do it and regret it. It is really hard to find taxis in the street.

Lovely house and people

The house is fabulous and we were only sorry that we didn't have time to relax in the garden by the little pool. Very good breakfast, and very friendly and helpful staff.

This was my fault, but I would choose a different room another time: I hadn't realise that the window was quite so high (making the room dark) and as we couldn't open it we had to use the aircon or have a rather humid room. As the weather was lovely it was a shame to not have fresh air. Also, you do need to know that it is half way between 2 railway stations, both a 20 minute uphill walk to get there!

This is the place to be if you are looking for something unique, away from the crowds.

We travelled a lot but this house is... one of a kind. Its absolutely fantastic! The whole house, every room, the garden, the breakfast cellar, everything is put together with great attention to detail and great taste. The whole staff is courteous, helpful and you have the feeling to be with friends. Yes, the house is a bit aside from Naples but we made a conscious choice to stay there. We wanted to sit in the restaurant next to real Neapolitans and surround ourselves with local people, instead of being in the city pushed around with the flow of tourists. Our charming hostess Catarina organized a private car for us, which was always at our disposal and drove us to the desired location at any time- on reasonable terms. But there is public transport too... What else can I say... if you are looking for a special place, for something really unique- this is by far the most amazing residence. Mille grazie Catarina, Franca e Sumi.🙏🏻

There was nothing to complain about. All we could wished for was there or was given/organized for us.

Toller Aufenthalt in dieser schönen gepflegten Villa!

I had incredibly beautiful days in Ercolano in the hotel. The rooms are very spacious, the bathroom is huge. A huge solid mirror. Since the weather was not so good, i had enough time to explore the villa. the bed was big and very comfortable. There is something beautiful in every corner, the decoration and the garden are absolutely beautiful. The staff was like my own family and i really felt very comfortable. The hotel manager was always available for all requests. A beautiful setting for photos, a great location for partying. Thank you for everything! great team. I will surely come back.

There is not much traffic in Ercolano. Except for Vesuvius and the archaeological city and a few good restaurants. For people who are in Naples for a few days, the location is good for relaxing.

Awesome stay in a high quality and intimate setting

Great place to stay at if you wish to visit Naples and it’s surroundings. The actual place is better than the photos. The rooms are large with great beds. Intimate place with a lot of space. Great continental breakfast with a large choice of fresh items every day. The hotel is situated not far from the sea and once you are within the premises it is quiet. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The property is titled luxury rooms and spa. This was misleading as the spa was actually a cold tub in the courtyard whose jets didn’t work. That said, the sun loungers round this area were comfortable and we did enjoy a rest day there.

We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely like to visit again.

The rooms were luxurious, interiors were as shown in the picture. We got to meet the owner she was very generous and humble. overall it was a very good space to chill, relax and treat yourself. Definitely instagram worthy ;)

The connectivity from the place. The property was not accessible via public transport, but either you have to walk from the nearest train station which is at least 1.5KMs. No cab at „Torre del Greco“ station, so better get down at „Ercolano-Scavi“. The owner and staff was kind enough to drop us to the station both the times we wanted to go somewhere. If you don’t know Italian, there can be a language issue Suggestion: An English speaking person all the time on the property would have been handy. there is no food or drink service post breakfast (except the mini-fridge). Suggestion: It would have been great if there was accessible water kettle, some tea, and a small Nespresso machine just in case some one want a hot drink in the evening or night.

Beautiful family-run hotel

Lovely family-run hotel attracting lots of Italians so very authentic. Delicious breakfast, fresh juice, pastries, eggs, salami etc. Felt super refreshed and relaxed by the end of my stay. Lovely pool, good to sit and enjoy the sun. Room was really spacious and felt like I was living in a castle.

Beautiful comfortable hotel - an oasis in Ercolano!

Beautiful building and grounds. Breakfast was great , our room was huge!

I didn't realise that Ercolano itself is not the best place to stay! This hotel is a hidden gem. Would have been good to have some recommendations of restaurants as we wasted a lot of time searching for somewhere!
