Keine Willkommenskultur, zu teuer und hellhörig

Die Lage: zentral.

So gut wie alles: Ich hatte um ein ruhig gelegenes Zimmer gebeten - es lag direkt zum Außengarten über der Raucherecke, extrem hellhörig, ohne Ohrstöpsel nicht erträglich. Ich hatte mich nicht willkommen gefühlt, das lag vielleicht auch daran, dass man an der Rezeption wie ein Bittsteller manchmal sehr lange auf jemanden warten muss. Insgesamt ist das Hotel in einem renovierungsbedürftigen Zustand, alles sehr abgewohnt. Das Fenster im Bad lässt sich nicht öffnen, die mickrige Lüftung ist mit dem Lichtschalter verbunden, das entdeckte ich erst abends. Die Fenster marode und nicht geputzt. Das WLAN funktioniert extrem schlecht: man fliegt nach kurzer Zeit raus und muss sich wieder neu anmelden. Insgesamt zu teuer für das, was es bietet.

A good comfortable stay and a very good price

A good location with good rooms suitably equipped and it is always useful to have food available in the hotel at a good price throughout the day.

The room was rather dusty, although there were no signs of anything unclean. One aspect we found odd - and potentially dangerous - was the reverse thread on the hot tap in the bathroom, which made it hard to use. It is a pity that there is no allocated parking available near the hotel (I would not object to an additional payment ofr this, if it could be organised). Indeed, if you are staying for anything other than a Saturday night or on a Bank Holiday weekend (which we did), you would have to check out before 9 a.m., since only an hour's parking is available anywhere near the hotel between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Saturday.

Slamming doors again and again as the staff got to work at 4:30 am. Awful overpriced food. DO NOT eat here.

Excellent & good value for the money

Food and room was excellent, there was building work going on but we were advised before we got there.

Loads of chatter from people outside but this is a Weatherspoons so we were aware of what to expect.

great value food and drink, but…..

typical Weatherspoons drink and food, which is excellent value

my room was noisy (due to a compressor starting and stopping all night) this meant you couldn’t have the window open for fresh air either.

An enjoyable stay and wonderful staff.

Very comfortable bed and large bedroom. Lovely staff. Good breakfasts.

The bathroom was small and the bath so high my husband unable to climb into it!

Disappointing due to lack of sleep

Had a job to sleep as the units outside the window were constantly running and rattling all night you need to look at better sound proofing

stayed before will stay again all round excellent and value for money

location and a relaxing atmosphere but staff very friendly when approached

the room we were in was just above the kitchens and we had the noise from the fan motors constantly

A good sized en suite room which was nice to come back to after a day of exploring

Good location near shops and 10-15 minutes walk to sea front, good sized and clean room, comfortable bed, desk

Room was towards courtyard, which had been in the description. However, the kitchen fan was running till late and started early in the morning. I got kind of used to it, but it was not pleasant. Parking was possible from 6pm to 9am on the road in front of the hotel. But then one needed to move the car, because only 1hour between 8am and 6pm one could park on these street locations. The nearest long stay car park was about 10 minutes walk away.

The food was good typical spoons food but came out nice and quick and hot.

The water in the bath at first came out a bit brown so had to empty bath and start again. Then it did it a little bit more so started again. Then the 3rd time it was okay

We always enjoy staying at Wetherspoons on the while it is very convenient to all the Facilities in

Minehead is a lovely place to visit, great walks, along the coast and ve ture on the moors. Beautiful park in the town with loads of wildlife. I enjoy the sea front amusements, agood selection of shops.

Wetherspoons has got very pricey on the food menu, but the quality is not very good, our fish was slightly over cooked and mostly batter. Also Valentines night eating slots were very random 5pm too early 7pm fully booked, so didn't bother.

first night there was no hot water, second night it was slightly warmer but still cold, room was right above the smokers bit (I think) so loud, could hear everything up till they closed around 1am they did a fire alarm drill which had no warning too.

Was in romm 211 top floor absolute Gail blowing through the old sash windows. As a result spent Saturday in bed at hotel. Lovely place heating on but the windows are a waste of time. Save energy? Do the bloody windows then

Customer service needs looking at. We will not be returning.

Only the location and bed was comfortable

Didn't like being without hot water throughout the stay and no cold water for a period on the Saturday returning to unflushed toilet. didn't like the fact no urgency to get hot water back or any explanations just a sorry for inconvenience note left on unmanned desk. Also no notice given that breakfast not being served on the Sunday although tables all laid ready. Due to having no hot water. Didn't like dirty glasses being stacked precariously in kitchen hatch and on bar due to no hot water. Breaking all Health and Safety rules I would guess.
