Najlepszy widok z okna jaki miałem w życiu!

Przemiły właściciel! Perfekcyjny pobyt z niesamowitym, zapierającym dech w piersiach widokiem na wodospad i wschód słońca! Śniadanie proste, ale bardzo smaczne! Pokój czysty, jasny i bardzo wygodny! Dostałem więcej niż mogłem oczekiwać! Najlepszy pobyt, jaki mogłem sobie wymarzyć!

Look no further. It's the best accommodation in Ella.

Look no further! I believe it's the best accommodation in Ella. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The view from the terrace is just the best (mountains, Ella rock, waterfall, eagles!). It's a short, maybe 10 mins walk to Ella center, but far enough to make you feel like you are in a jungle😊 I stayed longer than planned due to health issues but it was just a pure pleasure to recover in such an amazing location. The family is caring and lovely. If needed, they will help you with transportation and tours around.

Traumhaft Schön.

Besonders gut gefallen hat uns der unfassbare Blick auf die Berge. Mein Blickt direkt auf den großen Wasserfall des Ella Rock und auf den Little Adams Peak. Unbezahlbarer Blick. Dazu kommt eine sehr geräumige Unterkunft ein warmherziger Gastgeber, richtig leckeres Essen: ein fantastisches Frühstück - jeden tag etwas neues, sehr reichhaltig - und Außerdem kann man abends bei ihm auf seiner Panorama Terasse zu abend essen. Die Familie kocht authentische hausgemachte srilankische Küche. Und keine Angst, man hat absolut seine Ruhe. Jedes Apartment liegt auf einer eigenen Etage mit eigenem grossen Balkon. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber. Das Gebäude ist von 2018, also noch top in schuss. Em ende unseres Aufenthalts hat uns der Gastgeber noch kostenlos mit seinem Auto zum Bahnhof gefahren! Absoluter Geheimtipp, wenn ihr in Ella absteigt!!!

Lovely host. Arranged transport for us. Enjoyed home cooked breakfast and dinner.

Internet was slow. Good enough for communications but wouldn’t be able to stream entertainment.

Neue Zimmer ohne Schimmel.

Sehr netter Gastgeber. Das Zimmer war zur Südseite gerichtet und wir hatten einen wunderschönen Blick in das Tal. Vor dem Zimmer gibt es ein Balkon auf dem wir gemütlich Tee trinken konnten. Die Unterkunft an sich ist sehr neu, weshalb es hier keinen Schimmel gibt! Das fanden wir sehr angenehm. Auch an Sauberkeit mangelt es nicht. Das Bett war etwas dreckig - wir konnten aber auf Wunsch die Bettdecke wechseln lassen. Die neue Beddecke war sehr sauber. Die Lage ist nahezu perfekt. In 10 Minuten kommt man in die Innenstadt. An einem Tag wollten wir den Ellas Rock besteigen. Dafür haben wir keine Fahrt mit dem TukTuk gebraucht, da wir direkt von der Unterkunft aus starten konnten. Dabei geht es erst durch die Siedlungen vorbei an Felder bis man schließlich die Bahngleisen entlang laufen kann. Bevor wir an den Fuß des Ellas Rock angekommen sind haben wir so schon eine wunderschöne Wanderung auf den Gleisen erleben dürfen (ich empfehle hierbei Maps.me als Karte zu benutzen um auf dem richtigen Weg zu bleiben). Das Frühstück besteht aus einer Kombination aus typischen Essen aus Sri Lanka und englischem süßen Frühstück. Das Essen aus Sei Lanka hat uns sehr Geschmeckt. Die süße Toast, die vielen Früchte und die Prannkuchen mit Kokoszucker waren uns zu süß.

Das Frühstück bestand aus salzigen und süßen Komponenten. Für mich persönlich gab es zu viel süße Speisen. Gerne mehr von dem salzigen Essen aus Sri Lanka :)

Incredible view on mountains and waterfalls with a private balcony

The view is incredible with a valley and a waterfall. A quiet place 10 min walk from Ella’s main road. No noise from the road is the best after a long ride. The room was clean and has a little sofa, a microwave, a little fridge, a kettle and a pack of coffee/tea. We were drinking tea in 6 am in a quite place on the private balcony, and we heard only waterfall and birds. We parked a car near the hotel. Considering that the hotel is located in the end of the street it was safe to keep the car there. The nest over the bed was saving us from mosquitoes. Special thanks for the hair dryer, a shower gel, and a shampoo. Breakfast was plenty and tasty. The owner is a very friendly person. He constantly was asking if everything is okay and he could help with anything.

I think a little scraper or a towel for feet would help to keep the floor in a bathroom dry. And a little carpet near the bathroom needs to be cleaned :) WiFi is a bit slow.

A very nice place to stay

The view is precious, its walking disrance from the main street with all the restaurants and shops. The people are helpfull and the breakfast is nice.

Mosquito netting was on the small side and didnt reach the floor.

Fantastic location to explore Ella and the surrounding area as you can easliy walk up Ella Rock, Adams peak, nine arch bridge from the homestay. Really helpful staff. Excellent value for money.

Very comfy place with great mountai view and close enough to city senter

Very nice place with very god local breakfest (they had the best breadlike pankacke). Its not that far from Ella city senter, but you would have to walk uphill. If thats not to youre liking its very Easy to get a tuktuk (3 minutes), since one of the owners employs drives a tuktuk. The service was exelent and the view amazing! The roms are very clean and super comfy. The host is very helpfull and always avilabile. If you want to stay in Ella this is the perfect place!»

5 STARS FAMILY running the place! Great views!

Excellent location with unobstructed views of the mountain and a spectacular waterfall. The room and bed were super comfortable and big. The best thing was the friendliness of the family that runs the place, we were there for the Buddhist New Year and they invited us to a party meal with all the traditional foods of the season, it was spectacular! On the last day we took the train from Ella to Kandy at 6:30 in the morning and the owner of the house offered to take us to the station at zero cost, it was very nice of him!

On the second day, a boy who I am not sure if is part of the family who runs the place or not, said that he would take us to Ella’s rock on his tuk tuk so we could see the sunrise, he would wait for us and bring us back (we did not ask for him to wait there). In the end he charged us something like 6 or 7€ which is actually half of what we paid on the day of arrival to go from Colombo airport to Unawatuna (150km). I didn't like that, felt a bit tricked for not having told us the price right away. Fortunately, the rest of the experience and the family made us "forget" this episode :) !!

Magnificent view from top floor room.

We stayed on the top floor and the view of Ella Rock was magical. Breakfast was great and there was really helpful staff to help us with our bags and every need.

Nice family, yummy breakfast. Helped us a lot, especially when we confused the names of the hotels and had the taxi waiting for us at the wrong address (sorry for this stupid mistake). One of the sons is a guide. He knows a shortcut to Ella Rock if you wish to see it at sunrise. Oh, and the view is beyond any words.

Excellent-views and caring hosts

This is an excellent home stay. The beds are comfortable, the shower is nice, and the view excellent. The host family is extremely friendly and helpful. So helpful in fact, they picked us up on the side of the road when our car broke down, helped push the car to a parking spot, and organized the repairs. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, all the while getting the car fixed. Being digital nomads and having several online meetings, they quickly added more data to their plan to ensure meetings went off without a hitch. Each morning we were greeted with friendly smiles and excellent tips on what to do each day. This homestay offers good value for the money and a comfortable night. We stayed 4 nights, but easily could of stayed longer to get work done and enjoy all of the nearby hiking and views. We highly recommend this homestay—caring, prompt, and excellent service.

Fantastic

Pleasant

This was very much a friendly home stay experience. The view was great. We stayed in a Double Room with Mountain View that opened up onto the "main level" where breakfast is served. It was nice to have the large patio area, but it did mean less privacy. Big windows so lots of light can come in. Family and staff very friendly. Short walk into Ella (busy road uphill though with not much space to walk), and very close access to the hiking path up the mountain. Bathroom was large and shower had hot water with good pressure. If you're a backpacker type traveler I think you would enjoy this place a lot.

The room is basic - there is a kettle and small fridge which was nice! There were a lot of ants in our room. For some reason the water in the bathroom had a bad smell in the morning. Our room did not have an AC - but with fan it was fine. I think other times of year it might get a bit too hot during the day because the big windows do let in a lot of sun.

It’s a great place to stay. The view is awesome and you can easily access the stairs nearby to get to the hiking trails. The Family was very Kind and attentive. We can recommend the place without hesitation.

Wonderful, I would recommend!

Beautiful view and wonderful hosts! They even made me a special breakfast drink for pregnant women as I’m 4 months pregnant.

Good host.

View was good with ella rock, little Adam's peak and waterfall. Host was very nice, helpful and accommodative. Breakfast variety and quantity was amazing. Very homely environment. Big bathroom with shower compartment. Family room has very nice balcony.

Cleanliness - room had lots of ants and there was no room cleaning unless asked for. Dustbin wasnt cleared off and kettle, cups smelled. At a little additional cost I got 3 bed villa at Kandy with private swimming pool and 2 bed apartment near gregory lake at Nuwara eliya so comparatively pricing was high. Location isnt very friendly to walk in the night to main street of cafes as it is upheel winding roads of national highway. Having own vehicle helped for sure but if one is partying at chill cafe and wants to walk to and fro, then not very convenient and safe.

Nice room with terrace, mountain view, good tuk-tuk trip. Strong recommendation for a visit to Ella

We spent only one night in this object, it is about 10-15 minutes walk from the town center, it is actually closer than we thought (the location on google maps is the right one) but since it is main road and uphill it is maybe better to use tuk-tuk. The host is also a tuk-tuk driver and he took us for a nice 2,5 hours trip to see Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam's Peak. We were satisfied. The breakfast was good. The view from the terrace is very nice, you can sunbath and look at the mountains. The room was nice and clean with big comfortable bed and the bathroom was also nice. The host is very helpful.

Exceptional

The owners are lovely people. The breakfast on the terrace, with the view on the mountains is something special! Although it's not totally secluded, you still cannot hear the traffic sounds from the main street and it's just a 15 minutes walk to town.

The room is very simple, although you will have everything you need. There was a misunderstanding since I had booked the wooden room on the third floor, but I got the one on the ground floor. It was ok, but better get there early to get the wooden room.
