I really liked being at that side of the creek and being able to enjoy the nature there. The camp has a few nice spots to chill out, and the environment is relaxed and friendly. The excursions that they offered were great ways of getting to know more about the wildlife and plants in Mida Creek and Arabuko Sokoke Forest with really knowledgeable guides. Besides, very good value for money.
I noticed that a few areas might benefit from some extra organization and maintenance. For example, some of the hanging beds/hammocks were not usable because their hanging cords were broken. A little attention to these details would be greatly appreciated.

The camp is a relaxing and calming environment, with very welcoming staff who are friendly, warm and positive. We enjoyed playing Jenga and checkers on a night with a cold tusker! Whilst the site is slightly outside Watamu, it is very easy to get on a bike or in a tuk tuk at a cheap price and easy to arrange with Frederick (the site manager). Though, on the doorstep of the camp is a lush broad walk where you can walk through the mangroves along the mida creek.
The room was lovely and in great condition (fantastic outside seating area in our room) and also great, strong nets around the be.
Will definitely come again when I have the chance

Frederick, the manager was AMAZING! I lost my phone and credit cards and he went WAY above and beyond to help me. We spent 2 days going to police and retracing steps to try and find the phone. He was amazingly helpful and KIND
I just wish there had been a fan in the room- it was hot.

Very nice place, in the middle of nature. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are conform to the description, basic but with everything you need (running water, electricity, mosquito net). We had a great time in the camp and would have loved to stay longer!

We enjoyed our stay at the Eco camp, on arrival to the airport we were welcome by a very friendly face- Frederick. From the start of our trip till the end Freddy was outstanding, the most welcoming and sweet host we have ever met. He ensured everything about our stay was as best as can be, from the amazing local food to organising canoe trips.
The staff are what make this accommodation shine, the facilities and surroundings make you feel at peace with nature.
WiFi, coldrinks and service was perfect for what we needed.
Thank you very much to Freddy and staff for the lovely introduction to Kenya and Mida Creek.

Quite a unique place and nice to be in the middle of nature like that - the staff were great and helpful. I enjoyed being close to the Creek also and wandering around there a little. I would suggest that the Eco-Camp could also engage their clients in a few activities, such as planting of Mangroves, that I'm sure would interest many people
The breakfast was a bit limited and the meal I ate seemed quite expensive for what it was (rice and veg @ 450)

Freddie, the owner, and his staff were so very kind and personable. they treated us like family. The place was free of commercialism and hawkers trying to sell us stuff. The place is great if you enjoy learning about and being in nature. we are every breakfast and dinner there. The food is delicious and prepared and served with love.
One day the area and we ran out of water. Fred quickly brought us some large containers of water until the delivery came the next day.

The staff was fantastic! Everyone was so helpful and kind. I organized a tour from here and my guide was extremely knowledgeable with the birds. So many amazing birds here. The food was delicious. I would go upstairs at night and ended up sleeping up there so I could hear the sounds of nature and see the stars. I took public transportation here and the walk from the road was easy.

It’s a beautiful peaceful place. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Frederic helped us with arranging trips to Hells Kitchen, Arabuko Forest and always made sure we had safe transport. It’s the best service we’ve experienced during our month of travels. We would definitely recommend staying here.

This is an exceptional place, and you have a private mangrove beach! There are several beautiful huts, as well as some bigger cottages. I preferred to shower outside, to avoid my room getting humid, and it was just wonderful. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place, immersed in nature, you will love this.
The accommodation is basic, and the coastal weather is humid. If you are looking for luxury, go elsewhere. If you don't mind feeling a bit hot, and are looking to be low-key in nature, then there are no problems.
