Sleeps 14 is a stretch! The futon is in an alcove and is extremely uncomfortable. Room with murphy bed and bunks pretty crowded for adults only. Other rooms were good. Lots of space to spread out for a week of extended family time. We really appreciated the fans with the unexpected hot temps at the beach for a couple of days. Kitchen well stocked and easy to use. Owner was very responsive to helping deal with an empty propane tank for the bbq. Lots of towels and bedding. Great location.

This was our 2nd time staying here, we love how fun & unique the house is. The view of the beach at sunset from the hot tub is amazing. Our kids live in the play room. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. We look forward to our stay each time.

We do wish the gathering space would have had a better layout. We were all adults so harder to sit comfortably. Some bed’s definitely need replacing and updating throughout is needed. But we had a great time and had much laughter. Thank you!

I went with a group of seven women and we all loved the place but there are some things you should know. First, it was clean but worn and dated. Second, there is no easy access to the beach. You need to go through the neighborhood, up and down hills for .66 miles (according to my Apple watch) or go down a path that says “no trespassing” and is a little (or a lot depending on your physical abilities) precarious. Third, the place is very well stocked and has everything we needed. Fourth, the view from the deck and the sound of the waves was priceless. Fifth, you could walk to town and Manzanita was delightful! We all agreed we would stay here again.

Great property expect it was advertised as 5 bedroom which wasn't the case. One very small room could not accommodate 2 adults.

This house is run down; literal duct tape is holding it together in places. From the carpet to the hot tub, it is in poor shape and it’s disappointing. A non-exhaustive list of examples: on the underside of the hot tub cover it’s held together with duct tape, the hot tub is missing all the head rests, the outlets in the kitchen are entirely rusted as is the heating vent in the bathroom, the curtains in the bunk room are ripped apart at the top, curtains in the master ripped and duct taped at the bottom, the carpet is worn thin everywhere, the deck picnic table is peeling and splintery, screens are missing from the entryway windows, the game room bedroom’s dresser drawers will not stay shut, and the interior and exterior are in desperate need of paint and hole patching. You may think these are small insignificant things but when you out an exhaustive list together, overall the place feels sad, grungy, and disappointing for the price tag. It’s clear Vacasa/owners does not spend even the smallest amount of money to keep this house up. On top of that, Vacasa only provides “a starter set” of paper towels and toilet paper which, when you consider the cost per night, you’d expect at least an adequate supply for the number of people staying and number of nights booked. The “fifth bedroom” is basically a large under stairs closet with a horribly uncomfortable futon. The glass on the deck fence is so dirty a clear view is only achievable by standing. Lastly, checkin and out is less convenient than many other rentals I’ve stayed at - here you have to physically drive into town to pickup and drop off the keys.
The view of the beach is spectacular which is likely why Vacasa can still rent this house despite its current state. The kitchen is well stocked with tools and dishes. The beds, besides the futon are comfortable. The location is pretty good because it’s a dead end and in a quiet neighborhood (except for construction).
We are booking elsewhere for our annual vacation to Manzanita due to the condition of the house.

A very nice house with a great view. Very well equipped. Original ad indicated that there was beach access; this was no longer available. Game room had a chemical smell and the fold out bed from the couch was very lumpy.

This is a summer beach house with an interesting but functional layout. We hit some hot still weather so it would have been nice if they had some ceiling fans in all of the rooms which would have cooled things down a lot.

Amazing views, lots of space.
The views from the balcony and main living spaces are amazing. There was a lot of places for people to sleep. The hot tub was an awesome place to unwind at the end of busy days exploring.
The house is showing it’s age. There are screens missing from most of the windows. Blinds are broken in several areas in the house. The furniture is well used and not especially comfortable. Without the windows open the house gets really stuffy.
It is a great place for a family to gather with a few querks.

Great house, would stay again.
This was a great house to stay in for our 2 family's that were visiting the area. Access to the beach isn't a huge problem. You are on the side of a steep hill, but walking to the beach is possible. 2 minute drive to the beach if you want. The house is huge, plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The house was also well stocked.

The hosts are clearly very nice people. When they learned the hot tub had been broken during our entire stay, they simply sent us a refund, and it was generous.
View from the kitchen, deck and living room is top notch. plenty of common space - multiple couches, comfy chairs, big dining room table made having a big family gathering really good. Lots of extra blankets and pillows, too. great kitchen
A few of the bed arrangements could be a bit improved. the murphy bed/bunk bed room is too crowded, the pullout couch mattress is awful. the futon mattress is awful. my guess is they will fix these soon. the property manager, sunset vacation rentals, were AWESOME. helped us with checkin and checkout, both of which we asked for early/late and they were able to accomodate us.

This was a great space for several couples with plenty of different spaces so that we didn’t feel like we were atop one another. The house is well equipped with magnificent ocean views. The on-line pictures make it appear to be right on the beach, but it is actually up a ways on what they call Classic Ridge.
The minor downside is that there is no easy beach access. This is apparently new and due to some property owner disputes and you see signs all over saying something like “Restore Classic Beach Access.” Still, the drive to the beach is, like, 90 seconds and the walk isn’t bad if you are in moderately good shape.
Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Will definitely consider staying here again in the future. It is a nice property but in need of some updating and freshening up. Having said this I have the following comments (most of which are not complaints but are things you should be aware of):
(1) Location: no beach access except by car or fairly long walk (1-1 1/2 miles). Walk is somewhat strenuous with fairly steep grades in both directions.
(2) View: great beach and ocean view from upper deck. Due to growth of trees, very little view from lower level sun room.
(3) Although pretty good overall, there is updating needed. Maybe some new paint, some furniture needs updating. Not a biggie, but considering the price. . .And, upstairs dining room sliding door to outside grill does not lock.
(4) Gourmet kitchen: somewhat. Dishwasher and stove/oven not very gourmet. However, there is a very large stock of kitchen items, tools, plates, silverware, glasses, mugs, etc. As to spices, etc., there are quite a few items (most of which were probably left by prior guests). Irrelevant for us as we always bring our own stuff for cooking.
(5) House supplies: very well provided with most items, and probably the largest selection of decent towels, wash cloths, and the like we have seen over our many trips to Manzanita. (On a purely personal note, I always bring Bounty paper towels and Charmin tp as I can't stand the cheap versions.)
(6) Entertainment systems: no complaints but a recommendation (recognizing I may be alone on this). Who needs dvd player (in this day of streaming) and separate sound bar. 4 remotes which require a few hours of training to figure out which order they must be used in (I know, give it to your teenager or younger child who will be able to figure it all out within 10 minutes).
(7) Beds: pretty much as described. However, the murphy queen is a tight queen and not very comfortable, and that room has no closets or drawers. Did not try the hide-a-bed so don't know (although normally a squeeze for 2 people and very uncomfortable). Futon, according to our teenage grandson, was very uncomfortable.
(8) Game room with pool and ping pong tables: pool table is not useable. Ping pong table is not good.

Well equipped, comfortable house. Currently, nearby beach access is closed, so it is a long, hilly walk to the beach. That wasn’t a huge problem for us, but could be challenging for some. We enjoyed our stay!

Nice large very unique property with plenty of bedrooms but also plenty of stairs. Lovely ocean view from top floor living/kitchen/large deck and hot tub. Well stocked kitchen and gas grill minus dull knives. Bathrooms are nice and well stocked. No direct beach access but very close so not a terrible issue. Close to Main Street. Many rules: beware of staining towels or having pets or you will incur large fines. Also laundry and trash detail is required when departing.

Perfect for the amount of people the property is listed for. Great view. Short drive to the beach(3 min) Well stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. Keep in mind there is yard whatsoever but that didn't matter to us because the upper porch had a picnic table and chairs.

Extremely disappointed that when searching for a specific property with a hot tub, and coming to the house having it not work. After reading reviews it looks like it’s been broken for 3 months. It would have been great if they communicated far enough in advance for me to find another property with the amenities I was looking for. The photos also shows a pool table and balls, but there was no pool ques. The beach access in the reviews was also inaccurate and the property manager should tell you that there is no longer access via the sand dunes because it is private property.

Fantastic view & great home for larger families.
House was comfortable and clean. Plenty of space to be together in common areas as well as space to be by yourself for quiet time. The view from the main floor is gorgeous, especially from the hot tub. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. Kids really enjoyed the recreation room. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Very close to the beach, but no direct access.
Overall, felt like being at home. We will certainly stay here again.

Thank you for the short notice booking as our previous rental was cancelled as unavailable less than 48 hours before our trip. My family had a beautiful time in your spacious and comfortable home. It was very relaxing. Hopefully you get the hot tub fixed.

The house takes great advantage of the spectacular ocean views. There is an interesting floor plan, but there was plenty of space for my family to spread out and a long dinning table to come together. Cooking with a huge view in front of me was a joy. It was much easier to get to the beach with gear in a car. The Beach below was excellent. We were sad that the hot tub was not available but would love to come back when it is.
