The location was good so we could walk to a lot of things. It has lots of beds for large groups or family.

The cleaning was not the best, the blankets had hair on them from previous guests. The deadbolt on the main door doesn’t lineup properly, so you can lock the door. We had to defrost the freezer in order to close the refrigerator door. One of the bedroom doors doesn’t close, the shower doesn’t have any shelves for your soap. The hall ways are dark at night when you arrive, no lights are on for guest. We had to ask for towels when we arrived at night. This caused a major problem later because the owner thought we had taken towels when we checked out. She thought the apartment had towels when we checked in, however didn’t realize until later that her staff had failed to stock the apartment with towels. A large argument over towels occurred at checkout and the entire thing was the fault of the owner. We did look for another place to stay on the first night due to our disappointment. However we had a family member who become extremely sick and had we had to stay extra days. We couldn’t find another place and moving a sick person was not a great idea, so we stayed and made the best of it. For the price I feel it was not the best experience and felt that I over paid.

Apartment is very clean, well equipped kitchen. Very good shower wirh hot water. Kattia is a very kind host; we could extend our stay spontaneuously. In addition, during the Santa Cruz trek we could have stored our luggage at her place and we even could have taken a shower after the trek before taking the night bus to Lima (but the trek has been cancelled). Comfortable terrace with views over Huaraz.

The apartment pleasantly surprised us. It was not just a motel room being pawned off as an apartment. It was genuinely a place you could comfortably live, with kitchen, dining and sitting area in addition to the required bath and bedroom. The building's common area was spacious with plenty of seating, games, a full kitchen and a fireplace. The views of the Cordillera Blanca to one side and the Cordillera Negra on the other are just stunning. The apartments are just a short walk from the main plaza but are on the quiet, residential side rather than in the commercial areas. The fact that the owners are very friendly, helpful and live on site is the icing on the cake. We loved it. Next time in Huaraz we'll stay there again.
