Just had a wonderful stay here . The accommodation was fantastic . Room was great . It was spotless and very modern . Paul and Felicity were amazing hosts nothing was too much trouble . We were made to feel very welcome the minute we walked through their doors . Breakfast was the best part according to our daughter who thoroughly enjoyed it . Would highly recommend this guest house to anyone considering visiting this area

We had lovely 6 night stay in a very friendly atmosphere a good breakfast, very good value for money.we found it easy to travel round Torquay on bus service.

Torquay has lots of hills and we had to choose flattest route back to Barkley court.

The breakfast choice was amazing, and very delicious, Paul and Felicity are amazing host, made us feel very welcome, very comfy bed and very clean room, we will definitely be back for another stay. Neil & Tracy.

N.B..at this point I would like to point out.. Please ignore the negative reviews older then 6 months because they DO NOT reflect the new owners by any means. When we arrived we had a warm genuine welcome and we were shown around and our bags carried to the room.. We immediately noticed how clean the room was and the decor was very nice.. Our first breakfast was a (getting used to the way we like our food) great experience and everything was well presented.. Fresh fruit.. orange and apple juice and a nice selection of cereal and a help yourself to toast which you prepared yourself, I actually like this way. The actual full English breakfast was a prepared order form which you filled out the night before, but the cook (owner) was prepared to alter should you change your mind, for instance, the way I like my sausage and eggs cooked are very fussy, but this was no problem to them. There was tea and coffee and a selection of biscuits in the room and a modest tv in one corner and the room itself had lots of storage... the bed was Very comfy and both myself and wife dropped off to sleep quickly. We encountered no issues with hot water and always managed a hot shower, and the towels were changed every day if left on the floor and the room was always ready when we got back from our outings. Our over all experience was top notch and we both felt like we had known Paul and Felicity all our lives, they were genuinely very nice people.. We shall certainly be returning as we had a wonderful Stay...Thank you so much to the both of you.. Cheers

The hosts, Felicity & Paul were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were clean & comfortable and a very nice breakfast was provided.

Our hosts were extremely helpful and could not do enough for you, the breakfast was very good and the whole stay was very pleasant.

It was a bit of a walk into the town (we are in our 70s) but even that was not to bad and there is nothing else that we did not like.

I thought barclays court was amazing felicity and Paul were so welcoming and were brilliant hosts, they accomadated for my son grayson and interacted with him.at every possible occasion. The breakfast was amazing and good variety to choose from, the room was spacious and had a TV in graysons room.which I didn't expect but welcomed.

The only.downside was the walk back from the centre to the court as it was mainly uphill but it was a good workout and nothing they could really chance

Paul and felicity we're so welcoming, chatty and made us feel comfortable straight away. Beautiful place to stay and so central. They went above and beyond to make us feel settled. They are doing a fantastic job.

The hosts took a real interest in my stay and treated me like a person rather than a number in a spreadsheet like some big hotel chains. This was more like a home than a hotel.
