Our stay at the Ameg lodge was great, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the facilities are beautiful and very peaceful. We enjoyed the breakfasts, as they had a large variety of food.
The pool and fitness center were also great, and the property is a beautiful place to spend time. Thanks!
The Wifi was not great most of the time, and the dinner was fairly expensive. However, there are lots of local places to eat nearby. I recommend the Kuonana and Mimosa restaurants, both within a 10 minute walk.

Nice Lodge in Moshi. The Rooms have air condition and nice beds. Also the breakfast has a lot to choose from.
The lodge could need some renovation and a little paint here and there.

large rooms, nice hotel setting, quite part of the town, nice and kind staff
a bit old and some areas like windows need repairs.

From the time of being picked up from the airport everything was great, good welcome from reception staff and very friendly. Good food and great pool for a dip...

- Junior suite was impeccable.
- Staff was very friendly and flexible.
- Communication with staff and management was very horizontal and tailored to the guest.
- The common areas and garden were very clean. You have good views of Kilimanjaro (on a sunny day) and will spot plenty of local birds.
- Offers the possibility to arrange airport transfers and organize day-trips and expeditions.
- Location was a bit far from Moshi town (about 30 minutes walking). Reaching town with a TukTuk is possible and costs about 3000 Tanzanian Shillings.
- Eating at the lodge's restaurant was pretty much the only choice available and I was not very fond of the food in general. There were some good meals too, of course.

Nice quiet place. Beautiful view of Kilimanjaro
The bathroom and toilets were not in good standards in terms of cleanliness. The tiles were dirty. Swimming pool tiles were being cleaned while we were swimming. Should have just closed the pool IMO. Breakfast was very cold.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The food from the restaurant exceeded expectations: tasty and well presented.

Beautiful compound
Rooms have seen better times and the police academy next door starting making noise at 4am!

The room was spacious, with hot water in the shower. They had backup generator for cases of power outage (we've experienced once).
Hotel grounds and gardening are beautiful.
We've enjoyed the Indian food in the a-la-cart restaurant.
The room was dated, with some of the tiles in the bathroom and window frames looking worn out.
Breakfast was very basic (like most breakfasts in Northern Tanzania).
The location is a bit far from the city center, in a quiet neighborhood, and it is hard to find a tuktuk (bajaj). We had to walk in the dark at night and wait about 10 minutes on the street in order to catch a ride. There is almost no option to call a taxi/bajaj to the hotel.

The Chicken Marsala was superb.
My room was very neat and clean.
Some staff try their best.
The location is great (quite).
If the rates charged would have been far less, my rating would be totally different.
I suggest 35 US$ as a suitable rate for the currant standard of the facilities and service.
The condition of the whole pool area is dire.
There are no signs of even cleaning a pool lounger.
Proper cleaning and maintenance seem to have disappeared.
The usual friendlyness and eagerness of the staff, which I always appreciate in Tanzania, could have been better.
