The place is amazing, we stayed most of our time by the pool as it was very relaxing with a super view with the coconut trees! You get to be connected to nature, our 11months old daughter was always excited watching different kind of animals especially the chipmunks were entertaining. Btw, you have to watch out with food and snacks in the cabana, as the chipmunks eat everything and they can open any paper or plastic wraps! The rooms were always clean as they do cleaning two times per day which was perfect because of all the insects that could come in. You should know that the cabana is not a complete indoor place, the roof is somehow open. There was no air conditioning, but we had two fans in the room which were perfectly enough for ventilation. Also the the staff gave us a water cooling machine. Dulajana was our own butler, and he and the entire staff always made sure we have everything we need and that we are enjoying our stay. The beach is clean. The restaurant is the best in Sri lanka! A must try meals, and the Chef is beyond talented! I would definitely stay again and recommend this place!

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property but you have to accept that the local squirrels ( chipmunks ) and other small animals have access to your cabana !

Everything was perfect

We have just spent three of the best days of our honeymoon at the Jetwing Surf near Arugam Bay in Sri Lanka. The staff are the most attentive, kind and efficient we have met at any hotel and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The site is hidden away on the beach and is stunning, with 20 cabanas all facing the sea surrounded by palm trees. There is an infinity pool and large pool deck, that looks on towards the beach. The food was unbelievably good and the waiting staff and chefs treated us to an amazing personalised honeymoon cake and chocolates on the first night. The wadda (a Sri Lanka food made from fried lentil in a doughnut shape) is the best we have ever had. (My wife is Sri Lankan and has been eating this her whole life). The seafood, chicken and pasta dishes were some of the best we had in Sri Lanka and the best presented. We tried different things from the menu each day and every dish was fantastic. The rooms are beautifully designed with the the bedroom under a huge round roof and the shower and bathroom open to the outside air, reminiscent of ancient huts. Because of the ocean breeze there are very few insects around and no need for air conditioning so it feels really natural and luxurious. It is also the most plastic free accommodation we have stayed at with everything naturally produced, including recycled wheat toilet paper, and bottles that are reused. Although it was not surf season, we enjoyed so much tranquillity and often had the pool to ourselves to enjoy a cheeky cocktail or two. This place and the staff made our honeymoon!
