A wonderful place to stay in Airlie Beach

The BNB is beautifully decorated and well equipped, nestled in a quiet and beautiful street up the hill from Airlie Beach. We had the larger room, and had everything we needed. A private balcony was a wonderful bonus, we could drink our morning coffee in private and just enjoy the gorgeous nature around the house. In the morning beautiful white cockatoos that visit the house, which was simply amazing! Leone is a super host, she was responsive and helpful, and helped us book our coral reef trip with a discount. We really loved the stay there and only wished that we spent more time there.

You couldn’t quite walk to the beach from the BNB but we had a car so this was no issue.

Mandi's Airlie retreat

Everything...the location was perfect for me, out of the main town & very peaceful. The accommodation was excellent value for money, with great facilities in idyllic surroundings. The host was very helpful about the location, where to eat, things to do & see, even picked me up with my grocery shopping, which I really appreciated. I'll definitely be back again.

HIGHLY recommend this stay

The property was stunning and was perfect for some rest & relaxation away from the hustle & bustle of town. Waking up in nature to beautiful sunrise views & the kookaburras singing was perfect. The hostess Vanessa was an absolute legend! Although the location was a bit far from the centre, she always offered to take you into town if you needed. Her hospitality was one of the best I've ever experienced, and her dog (also named Vanessa lol) was a nice addition as well!

A true experience in nature

This place made me feel like I am in another world. It is right in the middle of the nature, surrounded by many beautiful animals and plants. Definitely a different experience to have! The decoration was unique, most of the stuff was made of wood. You have a little kitchen in your little apartment so you can cook if you like. Our room had a little garden/terrace which was nice. The hotel has a terrific terrace with a breath-taking view. You can have your breakfast either in your room or at this terrace. There is a hot tub in the second terrace (a smaller one, common area) which you can use till 9pm and meanwhile you can watch the stars and listen to the birds and other animals. Definitely recommended for the ones looking for a nature-experience!

Since this place is surrounded by many tropical plants and trees, you got to be ready for little bugs, flies, frogs(depending on the season) and etc. We stayed two nights and each morning around 5-6am, we were waken up by the loud sound of the birds/animals (all the doors and windows were closed). There was a kitchen with many utensils but they were not the cleanest to be honest. The bathroom was a shared one. Our room was next to the bathroom therefore it was kind of easy to reach but if you have a room on the other side, might be a bit annoying though. We chose a breakfast included option but there was no a real breakfast. You have a big fridge and in that fridge you can find jam, milk and some sauces but there is no bread for example (or cheese or eggs). A hand-made cereal, some tee and powder coffee were available. The hot tub was a great idea but personally didn’t like the water is not recycled/refreshed after use. I used it only once therefore. The location is the top of of a hill. If you don’t have a car, it might be a demanding walk up to the hill (I don’t know if there’s public transportation to there and/or how frequently).

I highly recommend this place. it's a little paradise in the middle of wonderful trees and birds with a great ambiance. the host, Leonie, is wonderful - so nice, helpful and hospitable. there's everything needed for breakfast and good internet. the distance from the city centre hasn't been an issue for me because Leonie has been kind enough to offer me a lift to the city centre and also taxis are easily available. again thank you - Leonie!

Best acccomodation in Airlie Beach, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

it was beautiful! Right next to the National Park and very close to nature. Leonie was an amazing host and made us feel at home.

Absolutely stunning and balinese !

Leonie was such a great host. I decided to stay here to relax after a cruise around the whitesunday, just for my birthday as well (i travel solo) it is true it is a bit remote from Airlie Beach but if you take the bus and walk up the hill it won't take as much as 30 minuts. When you arrived you will come into a splendid garden with a wooden house, it feels unreal just like entering a secret garden with a forgotten balinese sanctuary. The corridor in wood, plants and rocks makes it magical. Everything in the place reminds you of Bali : the doors, the decorations, the smell, the plants and garden... Even the animals ! You can enjoy the patio with a splendid high view on the mountain jungle, or try the jaccuzi. You can make yourself a meal while enjoying the view and the cacatoes coming to eat really close to you. You can go down the garden and have the feeling to be lost in a place full of mysteries. It truly is an experience even more than being a place to stay.

The shower was so nice, it's a shame we have to share it with everyone, but still it was very clean, smelled so good, and oh my god the rocky path and the style ?? Awesome ! For me being a bit remote isn't even a bad thing : you can enjoy a superb view on the mountain and Leonie is very eager to make your stay pleasant : she even proposed to take me back to the city !

A great place to base yourself when in Airlie Beach

Winter would be amazing at this place.

Our room was clean and provided everything we needed. The kitchenette upstairs, which had everything you needed, had beautiful views, was spacious and clean. Absolutely loved watching the cockatoos feeding while we enjoyed a drink and a chat with our host.

I wish the shared bathroom was closer to our room.

A wonderful tropical hideaway

We loved the outdoor kitchen and the tropical gardens.

Personally I loved listening to the frogs croaking all night but my husband had trouble sleeping. ear plugs were provided by our host.

Nice place with a warm welcome

Leonie is amazing host, very caring and we were given all the information we needed for our vacation to be perfect. She helped us to book the tours and gave us a lift few times to the center. It as very cozy and nice to have our breakfast in the sunny terrace .

Loved this place. So friendly and a very nice comfortable room. It felt like a secret getaway so close to town and the beach. Only wish l could have stayed longer to enjoy the gardens and view.

Superb

Leonie is a great host, really thoughtful. Kitchen and Laundry facilities great. Plentiful orange juice, butter and fresh milk provided. The garden was really beautiful. The kids were delighted to be greeted with green frogs on our first night at the back porch. The place was full of wildlife and on our last morning we were woken by a laughing cookaburra. Leonie also let us have late check out as our shuttle bus didn’t arrive til 11am. We had a relaxing time here, thank you Leonie!

Only downside is it is not in the town centre so we used the cab service a lot. Only cost $10-12 per ride though. Walking took us about half an hour. But if you’re doing adventure tours most will offer courtesy pick up from your accommodation.

The room was very enjoyable and quiet with large private deck. The large kitchen had everything we needed. The host was super nice and very, very helpful. She even took us to/from town center several times when we had issues with hiring taxi during the rush hours. Very much appreciated!

everything is amazing - the property is unbelievably beautiful, looked and felt like Bali, the view, the flora & the decoration is just stunning. Leonie was such a welcoming host and even got us some groceries for breakfast. Would have loved to stay there longer 😊

Really depends on the room you get

The first room was spacious and lovely.

The second room was the same price for a fraction of the space. Both rooms had a shared bathroom. Also you need a car for this location.

Relaxing and very well looked after

Leonie was great. Lots of little things provided both consumables and useful items to make the stay easier. Lots of nooks and crannies felt like plenty of space and greenery and beauty.

My wife reacted to the spa (skin irritation but not to the point of a rash) and it wasn’t quite warm enough for any of us. Bit of a musty smell as well.
