Super location, but guest services need improvement.

The location was to die for. It was walking distance from the Ernakulam Boat Jetty and the Kochi Water Metro Jettys. The room was large, but the bathroom tiny. The morning receptionist Mr.Gopi was a gem of a person and he ensured that not only our stay here remained pleasant he sorted out our issues with the argumentative Mr.Venugopal too.

The room we booked with a balcony attached and a "city view", wasn't the room we were allotted. The Room No.106 was in the passageway and was very noisy thanks to a bunch of very garrulous young guests. The night receptionist. Mr.Venugopal was a rude and argumentative man - who initially kept saying that the continental breakfast that was shown on their pages was not available anymore, nor was the restaurant space. A vegetarian breakfast was offered, served in our rooms, and brought in from an adjoining restaurant. His prescence was the spanner in the works of our Kochi trip. He kept emphasising the "complimentary breakfast", was just so, as though he was doing us a favour by honouring it. He did finally offer a pathetic pair of bread wrapped up in Omlette, as a replacement for what was once a sumptuous pre-pandemic continental breakfast... Perhaps the management should consider bringing that back!

Need To change Some Review

Location and Dayshift Fron office Staff is good

Night Shift Staff Venugopal is too rude and not good, he provided early check in which we are okay, But the way he made us to check out and all other response in every single time for asking break fast, blankets, water he is very rude not good behaviour in tjis industry. No one is helping to carry our lagguge when we checked in, We our byself went Have not seen this kind behaviour any were being a hospitality industry people needs to be good and kind, am not sure how management has kept a staff like him in this industry, I hope management will get in to this, Room is smelly, the mirror and TV are with stains, the jug water is not cleaned, Breakfast no resturant only they get out side food not Good, Tea and coffe is good, The Day shift Staff who are with Specs we forgot ask his name was very nice and polite he was very helpful on our Vist. Not up to the level location wise Okay.

The place this hotel is situated is the only saving grace

Other than the area,nothing I liked about the room. No towels,no blankets...extra charges for hot water...not worth that much amount of money!!

Location was in walking distance to the ferry and restaurants

The receptionist was working in slow motion. The bed and floor was dirty. The bathroom was also dirty, without a window and had no warm water.

Room and bathroom was clean.

Bed was not clean. No blanket is provided. One hole (for fitting fan) is there in the top. I booked double room but i got 4people room. But the main problem is the receptionist. He is just staring at my partner and blaming that I didn't called for confirmation for the room. And took 30mins for check in. That guy is not a good receptionist.

Great hotel and location.

Beautiful old colonial building in perfect location, 1min walk from boat jetty. Rooms spacious and very clean. Washing line provided in court yard to hang any laundry out on. Manager (Alex) so friendly and welcoming, also speaks impeccable English. He gave us a room upgrade a no extra cost due to Booking.com error even though no fault of hotel or management . (see didn't like section) Given free 5litre bottle of water upon arrival. When leaving Alex had been to local bakery and bought us cakes as a farewell gift to see us on our travels (also gave us another 1ltr bottle of water) All in all a perfect hotel, manager and stay... Would definitely recommend 👍

Rock hard beds!! Mattresses need to be a bit thicker. We booked through Booking.com, after room was confirmed, Booking.com asked if we wanted to pay extra and upgrade to a room with a balcony to which we agreed. Upon arrival was informed that none of the rooms have balconies!! Not impressed with Booking.com but the manager Alex was fantastic about situation (see like section) and rectified.

Convenient location with easy access to auto rickshaws and eateries nearby

This is just a rechristened ‘ lodge’ , just a tad above being downmarket . There are no blankets provided and the TV is a rickety screen . The bathroom has no provisions for warm or hot water and water leaks - while showering in cold water -from under the door to the room outside . Towels provided grudgingly . Bedbugs galore ! Not a place I will revisit or recommend even at these throwaway rates .

Very good

Simple and clean. Very near restaurants and the ferry to Fort Cochin. Staff were helpful and unobtrusive.
