This house delivers as expected as a beach getaway - enjoy!

The #1 thing about this property is the location. It is right by the beach, you can get there in less than a minute. When we arrived the house was being shown, because apparently it is for sale. The housekeeper Lorraine was also there, but she was very friendly and helpful. Lorraine was great!! The only contact I had with the owner was when I messaged her with questions, and got a prompt but short response. Other things I would like to mention (since I had no idea until we got there): CONS: - You don’t get the whole house, it’s the bottom unit. There was construction going on upstairs. -There were NO bikes, unlike in the pictures. - The 2 beach chairs were broken, so we took towels. -No shampoo/conditioner, bath soap provided. - Planes do fly directly overhead, so just know that going in. - Locks broken on 2 doors (one being a bathroom). - Extremely tiny parking spot. - Outside garbage can for the unit disappeared during our trip. - All TV and DVD remotes need new batteries. - Pillows were dingy, could use new sheets that fit master bed better. PROS: - We had 4 teenagers, and they loved it. Even the one who slept on the couch. - Nice big fridge and freezer. - Wonderful patio, especially to sit out at nighttime. - Short walk to markets and Lazy Eye coffee shop. - There are really nice a/c fans you can plug in, that help cool the rooms down and cut the noise. - The TV has Roku, you can log in to Netflix etc. - They have 6-8 beach towels.

Needs repairs….. guest bathroom shower sprays all over wall and out on to floor we had to put towels down to soak up water ; may need new shower head, a bit warm a ceiling fan in living room would have helped, however there were 3 oscillating fans in the house only 1 worked. Shower doors in master bathroom very hard to slide to get in and out of shower did not want to move them afraid to break it.. also a good size skillet in kitchen would have helped; we had to go buy one, only a small 5-6 inch skillet in kitchen…. Just want to share this information to the owner

Our first family vacation in at least 2 years! Hubs, myself, son & fiancé, daughter & youngest son. Close access to the beach, boardwalk and restaurants. Adorable decor. Just what we needed.

Perfect location when wanting to enjoy beach life!

Wonderful location. Just a few steps to beach and bay. Walked the boardwalk every morning and evening. Had a nice bonfire on beach one night as we watched the sunset. Frequented the restaurants and bars nearby. Took in a ballgame at Petco Park, the San Diego Zoo, The Midway aircraft carrier tour, and lunch in Del Mar. All within a 20 min drive. Easy access to everything. The flow of the house was great, but several cupboards and screens broken, and the furniture in living area was quite worn and dirty. The outdoor space was great. Had family time and drinks out there. All in all was a lovely time.

Friends, it is not safe to use an oven that emits a strong odor of natural gas. Kitchen was also disorganized and dirty (drawers, utensils, appliances) and badly needs a deep cleaning.

We had 7 people (including 3 kids), it was perfect! We cooked every meal, played on the beach and strolled along the boardwalk. Awesome location & has everything we needed. Very responsive & nice owner, sent over a few things we were missing within 3 hours of asking.

We loved staying here! Plenty of room, clean, close to the beach! We rented scooters and rode along the boardwalk! The beds were comfortable, 2 bathrooms were wonderful! The front patio area was nice! I would recommend this place! The kitchen had wine glasses and bottle opener and the essentials!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house location was perfect for our family just steps away from the beach and boardwalk. The house had everything we needed and our 9 year old children loved it. We hope to come back in the near future.

The location was perfect and the bungalow had everything we needed. We had 7 people and had plenty of room. The outside patio has plenty of room for everyone to sit outside. The airplanes do go right over the house but they stop at midnight and don’t start up again until 6:30 am. We would definitely rent this place again. Had a great time.

We had such a great family vacation! There are five of us and a little dog.This place has everything(parking, bikes, beach chairs, toys, grill, washer/dryer, dish washer, beach towels, shampoo, conditioner, even condiments!) and it really does look just like the pictures. It was super comfortable and clean. Just steps from the beach and a short bike ride to Mission and Pacific beaches. Tess, the owner was super quick to respond with text messages. We would definitely stay here again! *Certainly not a deal breaker, just a note to wine lovers: I would have liked it if there had been real wine glasses. There where only colored acrylic stemless, which where great but not for good red wine. I assume that it's so no one has to deal with broken glass, so I get it from an owner's point of view. Again, not a deal breaker.

We had a amazing time visiting San Diego and this property was perfect for our group. It fit 6 of us perfectly and the beach was walking distance away. Downtown was only a short uber ride too. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. We very much enjoyed ourselves and would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time at the Bikini Bungalow! The house was cute, exactly how it looks in the photos. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were super comfy. Tess answered our miscellaneous questions via text really fast and was very helpful. We parked our car right behind the house and never moved it again. We loved walking and riding bikes everywhere. The beach is just a few steps away and the water was perfect. We definitely would love to stay here again!

The Bikini Bungalow was the perfect spot for our family of five. Everything was as described and Tess was available to field a couple of our goofy questions. Our two teenagers and pre-teen loved the close proximity to the beach and literally were without shoes for the week! My husband and I enjoyed the two beach cruisers for morning rides to get some coffee at the pier. We had no fly issues - the door screens were perfect to allow the cool air in but keep the pests away! There were some things that may need some attention. The outside trash can did disappear and we did have to use the neighbors as described in the instructions. The master shower seemed to have clog and despite trying to clean it out, it still filled with water during showers. The instruction book had multiple wi-fi passwords/names, some that were crossed out and then updated. Deciphering which was the current one took some time. Again, very minor issues. We found that overall the place was fantastic and would definitely recommend this location! Thank you Tess!

We had a wonderful time at Bikini Bungalow! Cute house, very comfortable, the owner is very accommodating and easy to work with. We had a minor plumbing issue and she sent someone out right away, it was resolved immediately. We will definitely return!

The house is clean and comfortable, and the location is fantastic! Tess is very easy to work with and responsive to questions and coordination. We slept seven people easily. I definitely recommend the Bikini Bungalow for your stay in San Diego! Thank you, Tess!

VERY NICE, BEACHY FEEL BUNGALOW. STOCKED VERY WELL, WE HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE. HAD A GREAT TIME IN SAN DIEGO AND THE WEATHER WAS BEAUTIFUL DURING THE WEEK OF JUNE 12, 2016.

Bikini Bungalow is not only an attractive house, but very comfortable and very clean. We had a wonderful week. Tess Houser responded to all our questions promptly. We loved the patio and the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the location is ideal. The parking space is a little tight for a large vehicle, but that's not unusual for the beach area. We would definitely love to stay here again!

The Bikini Bungalow's location is awesome. The beach is a 1 minute walk and everything is in walking or biking distance(even the grocery store). The bungalow is very cute and sleeps 5 adults comfortably. The place was clean and Tress was awesome to work with. The only down fall is the airplanes are very loud at night and the place gets warm. We didn't open any windows because of the planes and you are so close to others. I love that the place was close to the ocean and board walk but not on it. You felt you had some privacy. I would rent the Bikini Bungalow again!!

We loved our stay at the bikini bungalow. Everything was great especially the location! I gave 4 stars because of a few reasons... 1. The parking spot is EXTREMELY TIGHT. If you rent or own an SUV good luck getting it into the spot. 2. There was a fruit fly problem in the kitchen. 3. The one bike that came with the house was very rusty. It was rideable but I was afraid it might break mid ride. These were all minor issues though. Still would rent here again anytime!
