A perfect finish to our visit to these islands.

Kaz Orea is an absolute gem, and is highly recommended. Laurent and Sarah are very welcoming and very helpful with advice on visits, restaurants, etc. Our appartment had a fabulous view of the sea and St Leu, and in the morning the sky was full of paragliders to entertain us, and maybe try one day! The pool and terrace is lovely, and in the afternoon Sarah will often bring down homemade lemon and ginger juice. A car is necessary as the b & B is someway up the hillside at Colimacons, and to reach the Maido or the volcano, you need a car unless going by helicopter! Absolutely essential to do both, we think. We had the optional breakfast, which included excellent homemade bread and brioche, as well as delicious jams and fruit juice, with the option of scrambled eggs. Very clever stuff. For us it was a better option than a hotel. For our 4 night stay, after visiting Mauritius, we originally booked into the Lux at St Gilles. We are very glad we cancelled that and found Kaz Orea instead.

There is nothing to criticise. We think a welcome pack would be helpful as we arrived on Sunday evening. Just some bread or crisps, a bottle of wine maybe, something to go in a sandwich.

Great to relax and unwind a bit above the sea-level, cood access to Maido / Grand Benard.

Tidyness, cleanness and comfort. The owner went out of her way to help us as we had a little issue. She is doing everything to create a splendid experience, we felt at home very quickly!

There is nothing to not like! Maybe the kitchen could get a few more tools, or a dishwasher. What was there was of good quality and could be used very well, this is not always the case! As the owner is living right there, any need / question was fullfilled / answered!

To make it short, I'll be back!

I stayed nine days in this amazing accommodation! Arrival and Owner: The owner (Sarah and Laurent) showed and explained me everything in the bungalow. They also have prepared a small book with a few tipps for a dinner in different restaurants or in case if you like a snack where you can buy e.g. a pizza. Breakfast: They prepare a really good breakfast with a lot of fruits! Selfmade yogurt with vanilla taste, selfmade (banana, cherry, raspberry, mango, papaya, ...) jam, selfmade bread, selfmade brioche, selfmade pancake and croissant with chocolate from switzerland, selfmade fruit juice and a collection of different fruits like pineapple, melon, mango or litchi. Bungalow and Swimmingpool: Everything what is shown in the pics here or on their webpage is the truth. The bungalow looks super nice, the pool is great, the garten and the complete estate is neat and beautiful! From the terrace of each bungalow you have a perfect view to the ocean and sometimes you can see paraglider in the sky. The area around the bungalow is super quite, I have sleeped two times with the big terrace door opened. Sightseeing: In case if you need tips, Sarah and Laurent have a lot of good tips for sightseeing. They showed me an amazing waterfall, Cap Merchant, the big market in Saint Paul (assist me buying local vanilla!), how to reach Le Maido, Cilaos and they asked me one time if I like to join buying a pizza from a food truck. You really feel like beeing at home! On sunday there is also a big event in Saint-Leu with local music and beer. Plus against a normal hotel! Two times I hiked in the rain. In this case you are able to use their dryer to get your wet clothes dry again. In case if you like massages you can also ask Laurent, he is an professional sport masseur. They are flexible if you prefer your breakfast earlier or later. But you should inform one day before. ; ) Parking: They a have a parking place for ~2 cars or in case you can park your car directly outside next to the house!
