The cottage was perfect for two young children. Easy walk to the beach and local restaurants. Had space in the backyard as well to play outside. The bedrooms had ac which was so nice during the heatwave.

My husband and I stayed here during our wedding week. The owner worked with us for an amazing experience. The cottage itself is well appointed and we had everything we needed. The beach, restaurants and bars are all a short walk away. It was a great experience.

This was the perfect spot for us as our son was getting married at The Newport Beach House. We were able to walk to the wedding, walk to the beach, and just a short ride to downtown Newport. The house was very clean and as pictured on the website. Sue was a delight to deal with, very easy throughout the whole process. I would definitely stay here again.

We just spent another weekend at Surfside Cottage- our second time there! The location is perfect! Walking distance to restaurants, ice cream and surf shop. Short drive to downtown Newport. Perfect for a family of four! The cottage is very clean and well stocked with everything you may need! We hope to come back in 2023!

No complaints here. Everything was perfect! Best location for visiting Newport, close to downtown, beach, and plenty to do close by. Sue was the best. Fast response time and very accommodating. House was very clean and exactly as advertised. Highly recommend!

This cottage is just adorable, very clean and super convenient to everything you want to do in and around Newport. You can walk to the beach and to several restaurants in the neighborhood. It was perfect for my husband, daughter and I, (with room for one more if we had 4). I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend staying here!

We spent 3 nights at this adorable cottage while visiting the area for our niece's wedding in Newport. It was impeccably clean, the kitchen had everything you need to make real meals, the cottage was tastefully decorated and the furniture was comfy. It is so nicely renovated, retaining the charm of the old hardwood floors and cool original panel doors with glass knobs, while updating the things that matter, such as a modern kitchen, bathroom, and very fresh paint and furnishings., new windows, and quiet air conditioning. The cozy backyard patio was great for cocktail hour and for coffee. Bike storage shed was a plus for me. The shower is hot and strong, my queen bed was extremely comfortable, and the linens and duvets are high quality. The cottage is located in a really convenient spot, just a 3 minute walk to a gorgeous beach, and a quick walk to restaurants, a neat Italian cafe, and a few fun shops. In the opposite direction, we were able to walk and bike along gorgeous oceanfront roadways. We were so happy to be out of the crazy busy scene that is downtown Newport in the summer, and yet it was a quick and easy 15 minute drive to anything you want to do over there, without the crowds, and a short walk to the start of the Cliff Walk as well. We were so happy we chose to stay in this perfect little cottage near the sea!!

Fantastic home for a family of 4. Kids each had their own bed (super comfy) and loved using the beach equipment for boogie boarding and playing at the local beaches. Chairs, beach towels, and beach cart provided by host were perfect and much appreciated. We also made good use of the kitchen (baked cookies!), the outdoor grill for burgers, and the washer/dryer. The home is a traditional 1940s beach bungalow, so it's cozy. But Sue's personal touches made it feel very special for us. My only (minor) comment on the details is that the queen bed seemed a bit smaller than a true queen... my husband is 6'4", so he needs every inch of space. It was definitely not a bed for sprawling out. We had a minor issue during our stay and Sue was quick to respond and help us resolve it. She is a kind and wonderful host! We would absolutely recommend this home to others.

The cottage is as advertised. Perfect location with a short walk to the beach and other amenities and a quick drive to downtown Newport. We are a family of 4 with two small children and the beach toys, cart, chairs and towels are an added bonus. Owner is nearby and extremely responsive. This was our second stay and we plan to be back again.
