Good value for money, clean and comfortable hostel in a good location

A bit noisy at times

The location was OK

1. There was no hot water in the shower in our private room. The staff *promised* over and over again that it will be fixed, but it didnt. They kept saying it is not their fault and didnt even bother calling someone to fix it. 2. The room is very small and really not comfortable. 3. There is no one at the reception for most of the day, and you have to ring the bell at least few minutes in order to enter the hostel. 4. The sheets were torn and ugly. 5. When we had complains, the guy from the crew couldnt really help us, because he was drunk. I usually not complain, but this hostel was just the worst experience.

The people working there were so friendly and helpful.

The bed rocked a bit and banged the wall when I needed to move waking the other ladies.

Overall enjoyed my stay. Its a sociable hostel and in a decent location. Rooms and toilets were clean. The kitchen area was also very good. The staff were extremely helpful, telling us where to go and visit and how to get there.

If you're in San Cristobel when it's cold, the hostel felt cold because the social areas are all open. The rooms do not lock but you have lockers to lock your belongings up. Also no curtains for your bed!

The staff was exceptionally helpful with any question we had. They will tell you a lot about the city and the things you can do and see there. Carlos knows all the tours, prices, people and more.

The staff is very friendly and helpfull. They gave us very good tips on where to eat. We had a late bus but we could storage our luggage, and could still chill there for a bit. Very customer friendly!

The curtains do not cover all the light and when the lamps in the hall are on its very bright in the room.

One of the beds in our dorm room looked as it was broken and made a lot of noise through the night every time the girl who slept there made the slightest move. Location not the best, I wouldn't want to walk back alone at night.

A bit cold at night in the single rooms, but hey, San Cristobal is a cold town at night and there were blankets enough.

The bed that I used have like a little hole in the middle so was a little uncomfortable to sleep

Awful bunks, the whole bed shakes whenever either person moves. You can feel the springs, and there's no proper ladder to the top bunk. The noise from the hallways and reception area are very loud in the girls dorm, especially in the morning.

Rooms need some serious repairs. Bathroom is tiny, and a pipe started dripping in the middle of the night and flooded the room. We were forced to change rooms. Second room had no shower curtain and the facilities team just accepted it as a fact that this room doesn't have one. We found one in the market for $2 USD... Also, this was a private room and we came back to a clogged toilet, probably someone flushed something wrong in another room, idk. Some outlets didn't work so we had to charge phones in the bathroom. The rooms close to the reception are horrible. You hear every conversation and every time the door bell rings, and it happens all night long. You can't sleep. Laundry service, even if advertised, is broken so you have to do it elsewhere. No alcohol allowed on property?? Maybe do a sweep for all the flaws and fix them?

I booked this place as it mentioned that breakfast was included and came to discover that it was not the case. The Booking.com welcome message should not mention that breakfast is included in the rate if there is the need to pay for it. Not a nice surprise when waking up in the morning. Bathroom cleanliness leaves to be desired.
