friendly advise: please replace all towels and bed linen. They were old, stained and smelly.

Alex is an open and helpful host. He recommended and lent us rubber boots for our hike in the national park, which was brilliant in hindsight! He's obviously passionate about the flora in his garden. The trail on the property is great. We saw a pair of toucans, monkeys and all sorts of lizards and insects, while the grand Ceibo and Ficus trees were the highlights. Breakfast was great and the bungalow has a very nice deck to relax on.

We enjoyed our stay at the Finca. The Gardens are beautiful with a lot of Birds and flowers. The Bungalow was very specious with a nice porch to sit outside. The bathroom had a really good size and everting was clean. The Staff at the Finca was really friendly and helpful. I also joins the Chocolate Tour which I really enjoyed.

WOW! This place is a GEM! We were not expecting the beauty and serenity all around us. The paved paths to the main area were so beautifully maintained and landscaped! Our bungalow was secluded and very clean. The owners, Jutta and Alex were so gracious and we enjoyed meeting their family, as well. It had a very 'family' feel to it. The breakfasts were delicious and we chose to stay and buy our dinners there. We're so glad we did. This place is small and there was only one other couple there so it had a very intimate feel to it. My husband and I loved hiking all their trails and saw so many birds and monkeys there! Toucans, Scarlet Macaws, warblers, wrens, parrots, and more! The monkeys came through the forest every afternoon, making spectacles of themselves and added to the joy of our stay. Oh...and don't forget to take a cacao tour! This place is a cacao plantation!! (we brought some cacao nibs home with us and they're perfect for vanilla ice cream topping!)

The ONLY thing I can think of in the 'negative' category is that the rooms are not air conditioned and, at night, that's not really a problem. It's cool enough to be comfortable and sleep well. But the bungalows do get pretty warm during the heat of the afternoon so you'll want to find other activities or just sit out on your lovely porch and watch for the monkeys. Having said that, this was our FAVORITE place on our 3 week adventure that included multiple stays around the country. We'd come back to Finca in a heartbeat!!

We were warmly welcomed by Jutta in a beautiful reception area in between a jungle garden with refreshing drinks. The lodge itself is very well maintained and the bathroom was an absolute highlight! As well as the breakfast and - on top of all - the cacao tour guided by Alex. In our opinion it has to be highlighted that people like Alex and Jutta are the secret heroes of our time: they put a lot of effort and passion into preserving the beautiful treasures of this earth and are capable of living in peaceful unity with the nature. It‘s not always easy as you‘ll learn when spending some time there. The most wonderful stay, we have very high respect for the both of them. Keep up the good work guys, we would love to come back someday. Thank you for having us.

The host Alex is a great guy. The garden is really beautiful! We went to Corcovado and could leave our car on the property and we were greeted with a lovely meal when we came back.

The house/room is quite basic and the bed was very small for us tall Dutchies.
