Built in a colonial style the house has lots of character - a huge air conditioned bedroom with nice terracotta tiles and a shower you could fit a small army inside. There's also a well-equipped kitchen and a large covered terrace (useful if, like us, you happen to be there in the rainy season) from which you can sit and view the wildlife (monkeys, iguanas, agouti and all kinds of birds from the comfort of your armchair or hammock. Playa La Vaca is just a 5 minute walk away for those wanting a more secluded beach but I would still recommend a car as it's a bit of a walk into the main part of town. Rosa was very welcoming and full of information on where to go and what to see.

Helpfulness of the host. Rosa went out of her way to book us a sailing tour at a good price and facilitate access to Manuel Antonio park. Quietness of the place.
Access. The last km is a mixture of paved road and stones. You need to go very slowly if you drive a sedan car.
Also, payment is cash only, something we were not aware of.

Rosa is a super nice host. She takes for a tour of her property and provides all information such as restaurants, markets, beaches, parks.... The apartment is clean, spacious, separate full kitchen and a long porch with a view to the ocean

The room was clean and spacious. The host, Rose, was delightful and helpful. She spent a lot of time telling us about the local area and what to expect. The kitchen had everything we needed and the spacious deck was very private.
The location was not ideal. It was quite remote from town. It was 600m from a beach, but the hike down to the beach was not easy. The most difficult part was the gravel road to the property and the parking. I would not recommend staying there unless you have 4 wheel drive and good tires. The location would be tranquil, but when we stayed there was a lot of construction noise from the neighbouring property.

The property has a great location. It is close to Manuel Antonio National Park and you can walk from the property down to a private beach as well! Rosa is very knowledgeable of the area if you’re looking for recommendations and she made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend staying here!

Rosa’s place has everything you need and more for the most wonderful stay in Manuel Antonio. The amenities are plenty to make for the most comfortable stay and the surrounding nature and the nearby gardens are beautiful to reunite one with nature.
But the most wonderful thing about the entire experience is Rosa, who is the most attentive and kind host I’ve ever had before. Many thanks again Rosa for this unforgettable experience

Rosa was the most amazing host we have ever experienced in all of our travels all over the world. The first night, even without our asking, she sat us down to plan our stay. She made arrangements and appointments for all the amazing activities in Manuel Antonio. The next morning she even drove with us to the park to make sure that we got a good parking space and meet the guide that she had arranged. This was service above and beyond anything we ever experienced.
Her villa is dreamy. Quiet, beautiful, and fantastic. There were a lot of steps down to the apartment but she had someone there to take down our bags when we arrived and someone there to bring them up when we left. We will never forget this place or Rosa, who is really the main attraction.
There is a dirt road that you have to maneuver to get to the entrance, but it is a small price to pay for getting to this secluded paradise.

We loved our stay! Rosa was wonderful. She was very informative and made our stay in the area top notch! Karibu is literally in the middle of the rain forest, complete with daily visits from iguanas and tapirs to squirrel monkeys and butterflies.

When we arrived Rosa welcomed us with open heart.
She gave us the full tour in the property showed us every lamp. Then she set us down for a brief of Costa Rica and the serroundings. She knows every place very well and we wish we met her Sooner. She helpe us with everything we needed, from recommendtions, parking space in the park, laundry to offering us her shoes to the rest of the trip! She is the best, she makes the place what it is.
The place itself is big and very special. The room and the shower are huge. We loved the outside, the terrassa the garden the hammocks and the kitchen.
We saw two agutins and iguanas.
Its so close to everything you need in town and yet quiet.
The road is not the easiest one, and there are some steps to the flat. The bathroom has a glass door so it is not for everyone. But(!) nothing made us regret that we booked this amazing place, it is one of the highlights of our trip, we wish we stayed longer. :)

We loved our stay at Rosa’s. The apartment, the terrace and the gardens surrounding the apartment were beautiful, spacious and tranquil with a wonderful view of the ocean. Rosa has thought of everything including a hammock. Rosa is very knowledgeable about Costa Rica generally and gave us great suggestions both for our stay with her and for our onward travels. While staying with her, Rosa arranged a wonderful hiking tour, organised free parking at the beach and arranged for our laundry to be done. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This apartment was by far the best place we have stayed at during our trip! The jungle is literally your backyard and you are surrounded by wildlife. The apartment itself is also beautiful. It has everything you could need and more. On top of it all, Rosa is an incredible host! She's so helpful and she told us a lot about Manuel Antonio, the wildlife of Costa Rica and more... It's been great getting to know her! We really wished we could've stayed longer. Gracias Rosa!

property was off the beaten path… quiet and with nature! We loved waking up, having a coffee on the patio and viewing the wildlife visitors!! Rosa was great, she helped up with everything from tours to restaurant suggestions/reservations (even in our next destination :) ).

Private spacious place hidden in the nice garden, full of the animals, flowers and trees.
Close to the Manuel Antonio main beach, 5 min by car. Also shops and the restaurants are in the touch. The owner Rosa is very smart, positiv and exceptional lady. You are not only unknown turist bringing money for her, and that is the big diferent and reason why Rosa is the special. Good luck Rosa!!

The accommodation was great. Great space and a huge veranda looking out on a wooded area visited by all sorts of wildlife. Accommodation was clean and roomy. Separate kitchen and a big shower.
The property owner, Rosa, was more than helpful. She went well beyond what you would expect. She had loads of information and advice that made our stay much more enjoyable. At the end of the stay you feel you have made a good friend in Rosa. Cannot thank her enough
As the location is half km along a very rough
track I would recommend that who ever stays at the accommodation should book a car for rental.

Amazing looking flat, with beach and jungle view, properly equipped and lovely shower.
Hard to get there with anything other than 4x4, the nearest beach was a waste of time.

This place is an oasis of quiet and relaxation in the midst of the bustle of Quepos and Manuel Antonio. We liked sitting on the porch so much that of the four days we had in Manuel Antonio we spent two doing just that.
On our first morning we already saw two types of monkeys, aras, iguanas, agoutis, humming birds and some other types of birds, while eating breakfast. The national park, which we visited on our third day, didn't offer much more - I expected more of the park.
The place is also well temperated, offers a lot of space, two hammoks, plenty of seating, a large comfy bed, a well equipped kitchen... I could go on and on.
We arrived in Quepos by bus. Rosa organized a taxi for us so we could go grocery shopping before getting to the apartment. Afterwards we usually walked the 600 meters to the main road to catch a bus to Manuel Antonio and the various beaches. So in case you don't have a rental car, it's not a problem at this place.
That we could only stay four days.

We loved our stay with Rosa, she is really takes the time to get to know you and helps you plan your trip. She was always available to help (e.g. she came with fresh Aloe vera for our severe sunburn) and recommend trips, places to eat, guides, etc. We highly recommend staying here! The apartment is very large, with a nice porch and garden. See you soon hopefully, Rosa!

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at, and for sure the best host I’ve ever met.
The place is beautiful! Much prettier in realty than in the photos. Rosa (the host) thought about every little detail in the room when designed it, and you can feel that she is hosting you with a lot of love.

The property is charming, comfortable, clean, and has everything you’d want. It’s secluded but very close to Quepos and Manuel Antonio NP. There’s a creek with lots of wildlife on the property. The view of the ocean is beautiful with amazing sunsets. A quiet beach is a short walk away. What really makes the stay exceptional though is Rosa! She’s one of the most warm, helpful, welcoming hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I look forward to returning soon!

The location is beautiful and peaceful! If you like nature and privacy this the perfect place. Rosa is great, we did not have a car so she called us a taxi when needed! Definitely would stay here again.

Besides the first initial heartbeats driving through the rocky road; It will all be gone at the moment Rosa greets you with her social butterfly ways. The apartment is like a cabin in the forest so don’t panic with nature all around. You get to enjoy true peace and quiet in the morning while you sit on the Porch eating your good ole morning cooked breakfast with no rush through it. You also get to enjoy the critters and native animals roaming and flying by in your own back yard! There is GREAT AC in the bedroom so you will sleep all night feeling fresh. There is a nice view of the ocean yet, we didn’t have a chance to to the beach using the accessible road right outside the property. I enjoy having our own kitchen, bathroom and whole back yard! We also shared some good conversations with Rosa and had plentiful of laughs…she is so damn awesome.
Some crawly bugs in shower, but what can you do…haha it’s nature there all around. It’s still a beautiful place.

Absolutely Everything! Rosa is the best host ever: she is super positive, has an amazing energy, knows everything about Manuel Antonio and will go above and beyond to help you. The house is perfect. The pictures don't make justice to this little piece of heaven. You will see a lot of wild life in the garden, you do your dishes with a sea view and you will have all the comfort to spend a great time in Manuel Antonio. We were working remotely from Rosa's house and the wifi was super fast (60mbps) and stable. We spent a week at Karibu and were super sad when we had to leave. We highly recommend everyone to stay at Karibu's. Thank you so much Rosa for being so kind and generous with us.

We stayed at this apartment for 3 nights, everything was perfect. The pictures don’t represent it well, it is even better then we were expected. Rosa thought about absolutely everything regarding the furnitures. It really felt like home. The rooms are huge as well as the beds

Rose was a warm and welcoming host.
The apartman is very spacious and very well equipped. You can find everything in the kitchen!
There is a super balcony, which gave shade all day. There is a forest next to the house, so we saw many animals from the balcony.
The house is on an upaved road, be prepared. There are also quite a few strairs to the house.
You can also walk to the beach. It's appr. 10 mins downhill. The beach is quiet, we saw only a couple in 4 days.
All summed up: we enjoyed the place and recommend!
For the future I suggest to change the mattress to a softer one and the A/C for a quieter one.
