This is a newly redecorated home, that kept the perfect amount of the original rustic beach-cottage charm to remind you of simpler days. It will truly inspire you to “unplug” and recharge! This spacious home comfortably sleeps 12 and is ideal for families or groups. It is thoughtfully designed with designated, kid-friendly areas, complete with a playpen and a high chair for your use. The house has a covered boat dock for your use, ideal for a small boat or kayak. Under the house, you will find plenty of space for playing, a covered entertaining area, two charcoal Park BBQ grills mounted in the yard, and a brand-new sandy beach area! Yes, your very own private beach! Additionally, there is brand new patio furniture and a new outdoor shower. Imagine carefree nights, relaxing outside at sunset, fishing from the bank, while cooking your own fresh seafood catch or BBQ over either two grills. “Unplugged” offers the perfect location, just a quick walk across the street from the beach and a short ½ mile from The Hangout. It is convenient to shopping, dining, and entertainment. As a bonus, it is also directly across the street from Pier 33, the oldest general store in Gulf Shores, which is still family-owned and operated today. • Access to the large balcony overlooking the lagoon is from the living room • Tile/hard surface flooring is throughout the home • There is a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove. The dining area seats six and there are four bar stools for additional seating. • Full-size washer and dryer are inside the home • The living room has a 55" TV • The primary bedroom has a king-size bed with a TV • The second bedroom has a queen-size bed with a TV • The third bedroom (located upstairs) has two queen-size beds with a TV • The bonus room (located off of the 3rd bedroom, upstairs) has two twin day beds, each with a twin trundle. • Access for your small boat to be docked • Outdoor shower • Satellite and wireless internet access is provided • Maximum of four cars allowed. No access to park inside the garage. • Minimum age to rent is 25 PLEASE NOTE: Some features of the home are NOT available for guest use. You can go to every one of these activities every day, and one person will be free per day. Additional guests will pay full price. Admissions are non-cumulative and non-transferable. Unused admissions expire daily. So yes, you may choose to go fishing in the morning (one person is free), then golf at lunch (one person is free), and then go to the zoo that afternoon (one person is free). Or you may choose to go to the zoo in the morning with the kids (one person is free), and your husband can play golf (one person is free) and then meet that afternoon to go on the dolphin cruise (one person is free.) You may do some or all of these select activities every day, and one of your parties is free every day. Great house with plenty of room for the whole family. Close to the beach and a short walk for restaurants and shopping.

Disappointed is an understatement. This property is not nearly as nice as the pictures and description. We stayed in July 2023 for five nights. We had 5 adults and five teenagers. The door code didn't work when check in came, but a call to the property management company corrected that. Someone tripped on the way to the door on a deck board that had come up. The inside of the door was smudged with dirty hand prints. We could still see face smudges on the windows. The kitchen baseboards and cabinets had food splatter on them. Window and door tracks were dirty. There were remnants of a coffee or tea spill dried to the floor in the bathroom. There were large spots of mold in the upstairs bathroom and just outside of that bathroom. The yard had beer cans, food wrappers, and other trash all over. One of the deck railings was secured with bungee cords. The door didn't latch, so the only way to keep it closed was to throw the deadbolt. The air conditioning didn't work. It was very hot down there during our stay, but the house wouldn't cool to below 80 degrees at night. A service repairman came out on July 4 and spent two hours getting it working again. Water damage to the ceiling in multiple spots which were hastily painted over. Multiple window screens were pushed out. Some items were fixed after multiple phone calls with VRBO and prop management; some were not fixed. We received a small discount; VRBO was very little help. Wish I could write more about how bad this place was.

We had family from Germany that came with us that had never been to a beach they were very impressed we had a wonderful time.

This was a great place to stay! The private beach was nice. Very close to the beach, and close to lots of other activities! Would definitely recommend!

We got here and got lost in laughs and fun! I wish we hard pictures to share but we left our phones behind. The pictures of this property just give you and idea, they don’t do this place justice. There was space to play in and out fully stocked with all the stuff that you’ll ever need in a kitchen!

The location was good. There was enough room for all 10 of us-5 adults and 5 children. The house could have been cleaned better and the appliances need updating. The dryer does not dry until after at least 2 cycles and the refrigerator was not very cold. The pans need to be gone thru because some of the cookie sheets are very rusty and need thrown away and replaced with new.

Great property Location and overall good experience
The location is great, but the kitchen appliances were our biggest trouble. The fridge was not very cold, the stove top burners did not work properly.

Great House, Great Location
Everything about this place was amazing. The space is much bigger than it looks I’m the photos. The backyard with the private sandy beach was perfect for games. The location was phenomenal. Right next to everything you need. Walking distance to shops, groceries, restaurants, and bars. Would recommend a million times over! We will be back!

Unplugged was a great beach house for our Winter vacation. The kitchen was full of every item we needed. The location was the best we've ever had in Gulf Shores. Our grandkids visited and really loved our little beach area! I could put my kayak in right from the property. We had a couple small issues arise but the iTrip office was right on everything and took care of the problem immediately. Thanks so much iTrip, we look forward to working with you again next winter.

Great Beach House

Perfect Beach Vaca!
This house is lovely! Our kids enjoyed the sand pit and we loved fishing in the backyard! This house is a short walk to the beach. We are sad to say goodbye and head home. Until next time!

Loved!!
My family and I stayed at Unplugged, let me say we were very much impressed. The house had lots of room, very clean, decorated perfectly, and the location was amazing. A min from the beach and across the street from Pier 33, a local grocery/convenient store.
I highly recommend checking out the Unplugged location for your next Gulf Shores, AL trip.

Great stay in a great location
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at this property. There was a minor hiccup where the power went out, briefly (twice); however, it was quickly restored. The house is much larger in-person. Overall, would book this space again.

The property looks amazing online but in person it’s older looking than expected. Immediately as we walked in we noticed the blinds were broken on both screen doors in the living room. Outside furniture is totally different. We even had to buy batteries for the living room cable remote that wasn’t working and it still didn’t work. We asked for batteries and were told someone would drop some off but no one ever did. Aside from that we enjoyed our 2 days there. My questions were answered in timely manners and very nicely. We booked 5 nights but unfortunately had to leave early due to the 2 storms Marco and Laura. Our drive home was in the path of the storms and for the safety of our family we had to head back home. When we let the property know we had to cut our trip short due to the storms, they replied with “thanks for letting us know, we’ll alert the cleaning crew.” I was really surprised by their response after they had been so nice before. We did purchase the cancellation protection through VRBO which I didn’t know there was even a difference at the time, I found out later from the property manager that we could have bought cancellation protection through them but thats not made clear when you make your initial payment so be careful there. Because these protections have such slick guidelines for what is covered, our circumstances were not covered, so we basically had to throw away 2 full days of our money. I asked the property if they offer any kind of refunds or credits in this kind of situation because I would 100% stay with them again if we were shown a little grace and understanding towards our situation. We even added a day to our already paid trip because we were afraid of ending the fun too soon. The property manager did come back and offered us 10% discount towards a future stay which I don’t agree with, we lost way more than that. I’ve emailed the property mgr back but I still haven’t heard from them. Not only were we super disappointed that our vacation that we saved up for was cut short due to the storms but the lack of compassion shown has confirmed we will not book with this company again. We do plan on visiting Gulf Shores in the future and with more family.

There were a few hiccups, but they were attended to by Lydia, quickly. Thank you to Lydia for responding to our requests in a timely manner and always taking our calls and messages. She saved the stay!

Had a great stay at this house in Gulf Shores. Plenty of room, nice accommodations, nice outdoor area to sit and relax and enjoy the water. Fairly close to the beach… Under five minute walk. Close to restaurants, ice cream shops and other retail locations

Great family vacation spot!!
Unplugged was an awesome rental for our family of 7. We had teenagers to toddlers and everyone had something to do at all times. We were close to everything and the home was clean and well stocked down to every detail. You can tell someone takes pride in the rental from the owners to the rental company. All questions were answered and we were checked on a few times during our stay. We loved the dock on the lagoon for fishing and catching crab. Wish we had brought some kayaks. The beach was beautiful and not too far. With toddlers we did need to use a wagon since it was a few blocks to cross over the street. Close enough to the restaurants and shops to get to quickly but not too close to have to hear the noise or see the crowds.
We loved it and hope to return again!

could walk most places, including Shrimp Festival, Beach across the street, air conditioner work fabulous, beach chairs would be nice however, dryer vent is disconnected. Down toilet is slow. Otherwise perfect. Great Outdoor facility below deck and fishing. View awesome

AMAZING!!!!
Unplugged was absolutely amazing. The house was just as it looked in the pictures and our kids had a blast trying to catch the little gator that was in the pond off the back deck. We will most definitely stay there again if we are ever back in Gulf Shores. I highly recommend staying at this home.

We had a wonderful time at this property! Fishing on the back dock morning and evening, local wildlife visits, clean property with all the essentials, easy walk to the beach, conveniently placed small grocery store right across the street. Felt secluded but within minutes of all activities!

Amazing Vacation Home!
Visiting Gulf Shores was well worth the 12 hour drive. The house was beautifully decorated, clean, cozy and stocked with everything we needed. There was ample space for all my family to comfortably fit. Even though it rained most of the time we were there, we had an amazing vacation.

We found that Unplugged was a wonderful place to settle in while attending a wedding and kick starting our vacation. The kids loved the backyard beach and bunk beds. We wish we had more time so we could have utilized the grill and had more time to explore the area. My son Loved the Pier 33 grocery store being across the street. They were wonderful representatives for the neighborhood. We will definitely look for this home away from home the next time we're in the area.
