Nothing except kindness of the staff that gave our money back.

Very old property, really dirty and old. It’s not a four star structure (also the hotel: we saw the reception and was dirty and looked dilapidated.

We had Breakfast and Dinner included in our package and I found the Buffet very good with lots of variation and fresh food. The complex has a tropical feel with big pools and palm trees. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool area was very nice and family friendly. We were almost completely surrounded by local Spanish families on holiday, I really enjoyed this, usually in Spain you see little of the local people and many German, English, Dutch and Belgian holiday makers, this was a very refreshing change. We were directly over a Mall with many shops, watch your wives! The train station was directly by the Mall and Cadiz was about 15 minutes away, a return ticket costs 4,-€ per person.

The Bungalows and the complex needs renovation, everything is being held together with provisional repairs just to keep it going. In our bungalow many lights bulbs were defect and had to be changed and the Plexiglass skylight above the entrance area was loose and flapped annoyingly, each time the wind blew, this was glued together by the maintenance people, but once again, just a provisional repair. The Bungalow had one pot, to cook with, some basic Cutlery and Crockery and nothing else, luckily we had the Buffet option and did not have to cook here, it would otherwise have been a disaster! Wifi is only available in the reception area and in the Mall, not in the Bungalows. There is no way to wash clothing on Site, you have to go into San Fernando to wash clothing. The complex is by the water, but the water is in a bay in a marshy wetland which is also a natural park, the water here is brackish and tidal. It is not a viable option to swim here, if you want to swim in the sea, you have to drive to the nearest beach which is seven km away or you have to take the train to Cadiz. Although the complex looks clean, to the casual observer, there is rubbish everywhere, in the gutters, in the drainage, pipes under the walkways, in the gardens, hidden away in the corners; one also occasionally gets a waft of brackish water and sewage from the canalization underneath.
