Woefully understaffed on a Sunday evening. The one person was doing a grand job but there needed to be at least three of her. Long line of tutting, frustrated customers.

We had stayed there previously but failed to recognise the New name of I H G !

The description of it's location was misleading. I was under the impression that it was located much, much closer to the Railway station and the Cathedral where we were going for a concert. We weren't allowed to change from the I H G hotel to the Carrow Road one without paying extra, which was very disappointing. Luckily the 28 bus came to our rescue. As the taxi ordered at the Carrow Road venue took far too long to arrive. There seemed to be only 1 person on duty at breakfast at the I H G too, which wasn't fair on her either.

The staff were incredibly friendly, approachable and helpful. I asked for extra pillows and a couple of extra tea bags and was given them promptly and offered extra milk and sugar too as well as a choice of a selection of different teas.

There was a stain on one of the pillows when I arrived.

room clean tidy, bed was comfy with sockets and charging points either side. nice clean and modern open plan reception bar dining area. staff nice and polite and friendly. free car park although very busy and you have to hit lucky to be able to park near the hotel otherwise its in the extended shared car park not idle when your work van is full of tools

car park was far too busy due to the David Lloyd club attached and it being Wimbledon week everybody is a tennis player all of a sudden. breakfast was ok wish providing you like scrabbled egg as that was your only choice I'm more of a porched egg man. don't understand the logic in giving you a side plate for a main breakfast meal well I do its to give you small portions but it more inconvenient because you do a second visit like to fill up in the morning as I don't do lunch at work. big breakfast then evening meal. evening staff mmmm not sure if they are under staffed or under trained as not the fastest service all be it very nice and friendly people. 3 people in restaurant eating one person in front of me getting served at bar with drinks and food order 10 minute wait then was told I had to wait as somebody needed serving at the check in desk literally 10 foot away and I was waiting to be served long before the other person at checkin arrived, took approx 30 minutes to place food and drink order then another 15-20 minutes for food to be served only to find it wasn't all there got offered a free drink as a replacement for the missing food that we paid extra for. wouldn't like to think the place was full or even more than 4 people in. not what you want when you've had a hard day at work and want a quick bite then relax. like I said though the staff were polite and friendly just lack a bit of training.
