Located on the esplanade
Beautiful building with great views

Spotlessly clean, with free parking and huuuge, tasty breakfast! Fabulous views over the bay.
A hairdryer in the room would be fab, but the staff very kindly let me borrow one.

Perfect position with views to die for. Great breakfast, beautifully decorated and quiet rooms. The staff were wonderful to chat to and get tips.
We only had the one shower in our room to use between 5 of us as the one in the corridor was out of order.

I liked the bunkbed - it was very comfortable. Liked the duvet covers!😊 Liked the room itself - big and airy.
Didn't have time to cook or eat in kitchen.

Staff was very cooperative. Kitchen facilities were perfect, spacious sitting area and beds were comfortable.
Price was little high but it gives you return if we see overall it's not much negative thing

Was nice to be able to park and walk into town (weather permitting).
The rooms looked a bit outdated and doors leading to the room were inconvenient (heavy and sometimes felt like there was a suction effect in action)

Not all beds had a charger.

The location is great, right by the sea, and the staff were super friendly - Marta is a star! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the showers and kitchen were very clean and tidy by all guests, which made it a very comfortable stay!

lovely staff, great location, welcoming atmosphere
there was an extractor fan blowing out cold air both nights in the room so it was really cold. I did let reception know but it seemed more of a maintenance issue so nothing could be done. I would still stay again mind.

they have a wide kitchen where you can cook your meals. also, they accept dogs at a wee fee
people that don’t clean what they use in the kitchen, but that’s not the hostel fault

Hostel in a great location across the road from the water and accessible to town by foot or public transport
We were placed in an annex behind the main home. The bit that I felt uncomfortable with was it was not very busy and the access to the second building was not secure and did not lock with a swipe card it seems that this didn’t work or was not engaged. As two women travelling alone we were not happy about this. Also the doors were held open with fire extinguishers which I don’t believe are are the safe or the right use for a fire extinguisher. Essentially anyone could access the property and the hallways without using a swipe card which is not acceptable

Good value for money - excellent stopover to get a ferry to the Isles and walk in to town.

1 night stay before taking ferry to Mull, it was clean, comfortable and the shower had good pressure. Fiona at the front desk was so friendly and I appreciated her recommendations for dinner.
I didn’t find the continental breakfast to be worth the money and wish they had more options for the cooked breakfast

It is a youth hostel. However staff was very kind, dormitory room was reasonably good. car parking is a bonus. Situated just opposite to the beach. Town centre and Ferry station is walkable distance. It was rainy that day , so we couldnt enjoy much. It was good.

- The bed and the communal zones are very comfortable: spacious and pretty.
- The location is EXCELLENT. Perfect for watching the sunset.
- No socket and a curtain for each bed in a dorm.

Nothing. .
The worst, most uncomfortable, most spartan , most depressing, most soulless accommodation I have ever come across. Completely unattended and locked from 10pm. When I mislaid my key card I was potentially put in the streets all night. Luckily I was able to get a room in a real hotel. It was comfortable, friendly, welcoming, relaxing and had carpet on the floor, toiletries and lots of towels, not just one meagre rectangle of rough blue rag I got a good breakfast the next morning, conversation and help with my travel agents. It was also much cheaper. This so called hostel was more like an institution aimed at people who had behaved badly. I do not think anyone travelling alone should even consider it. If it was £20 a night it would be overpriced. I will be reporting my experiences to the local authorities as it does not exactly enhance the image of their town.
