"Torakina" is a family friendly house so if you are looking for some were to have a party this is not the house for you. If you have a party or cause enough noise to disturb the neighbours you will forfeit your bond and risk being evicted. "Torakina" is situated at the higher end of town the red brick house has a special character. You have views of the surrounding mountains from the comfort of the meals room and from the patio . There is a park for the kids to play in just across the street. As most of Talbingo it is not far to the Shop , the Service Station or Talbingo Country Club and Golf course. The house is fitted with Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning Electrical wall heater electric blankets and ceiling fans . The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms with double beds and one bedroom with 2 single beds .

We enjoyed our stay in Talbingo, and particularly the views from the house, of mountains and this weekend's approaching storms. This was fortunate for weather prediction, in the absence of any wifi, and given the very intermittent, and weak phone reception.

We enjoyed our stay at Talbingo with extended family. The property was the perfect size with plenty of room and convenience for catching up with family. The property was clean and had plenty of amenities and very well priced. Very quick response to questions from owner which made the process very easy.

Nestled in beautiful talbingo, this quiet town offers a restful relaxed stay, which was matched by a very clean roomy and comfortable abode.

Fantastic place to stay, slept 2 families of 4, so warm and with everything we needed will definitely will stay again. Such a beautiful view of the mountains from the dining room. Park across the road for kids with kangroos and the very vain peacocks checking themselves out in their reflection of our cars.
Came for the snow, with Selwyn closed we found some beauties amongst the village, it was a little challenging with no internet (only Telstra towers) but the cafe gave some very invaluable information on what we can find around the town. Yarrangobilly caves with the thermal pools, mountain bike technical track, the beach at Talbingo reserve and some great fishing along the rivers. âĄ

We had an enjoyable, comfortable stay at Robertâs property. The location was excellent, with views of the the mountain surrounds and park across the road, frequented by kangaroos, king parrots and, strangely, a peacock?? There was plenty of space and bedding. We only used two out of the four bedrooms. Heating was also excellent throughout the house.
Probably wouldnât recommend for two families, even though bedding would be sufficient as the lounge/TV area is fairly small with only one 3 person lounge. Those who like a soft mattress will be pleased. WiFi was also not provided, and reception was poor. This made online access quite challenging, especially if you are not with Telstra as we were.
Weâd definitely be happy to stay again as itâs a beautiful part of Australia and a great base for heading to Mt Selwyn snowfields or Yarrangobilly caves. Overall, we were happy with the cleanliness and condition of the property and appliances provided.

We had a great stay at Talbingo in this house. The house was spacious and great for 8 people. All amenities were great and we had no issues. Would recommend staying at this great place!

We loved our stay in Talbingo, and the cottage was just what we needed - quiet, peaceful, well set up and with all the provisions we needed. We did lots of bushwalking in the area and the cottage was the perfect base. Thank you!

We enjoyed our 3 day stay at this location . The house is in a quiet location and all amenities were provided for in the home apart from the sheets and towels which we were asked to bring. The house is basic in its decor but slightly better than other talbingo holiday lets I have stayed in. The mattresses need updating as offer little support for anyone with back issues and the beds creak when moving on them. They are only double bed and smaller than we are used to. We didnât sleep too well because of them. Other than mattresses itâs an ok place to stay.

Large friendly holiday home. Two toilets with soap and toilet paper. Tea and coffee in kitchen. Kangaroos across the road in the morning. Peacock next door just hanging out. Satin bower birds and wag tails fussing. Very quiet neighborhood. Planning to go again.

The property was very clean, all amenities were provided for, very quiet neighbourhood & a very helpful property owner. A very comfortable stay for 8 people. I would recommend staying at this property which was priced reasonably. We will always prefer staying at this property in future if available.

The photos don't do this great place justice. The place is comfortable, clean, affordable, well located and has al the creature comforts. One of the better placed I've stayed in Talbingo. Would definitely go back. Thanks for sharing your lovely place

This home is located in a very quite and peaceful neighborhood. I could not stop admiring the shingles on the roof & steel framed beds which retains the old world charm of this property. The heating was fine and one feels absolutely welcome when entering this home. Despite the temperature dropping towards 4 centigrade this home is well insulated and even when the heater is not on, one feels comfortable as long as you are dressed in warm clothes. There is a beautiful view with some mountains which is a short walk away. The river at the foot of these mountains is absolutely beautiful. The location of this property is amazing. The drive to the snowy mountains is not far and is approximately 1.5 hours. I have been to many locations but want to go to this home again one day as the beauty of the home and its surroundings was captivating. Hopefully you will also see the wallabies resting across the road in the kids play area and a peacock in the adjoining property.
