The elegance of this 3 bedroom home is elevated by the beautiful wood floors, the floor-to-ceiling fireplace and the gourmet kitchen with upgraded appliances. The covered balcony is basically a second living room in the Summer, and can be conveniently heated in the wintertime. The views of Beech Mountain can be seen from the expansive front porch as well, so you don't have to leave the property to experience the beauty of the area. What's nearby: Sugar Mountain Resort is just minutes away from this condo, where you'll find an outdoor skating rink, snow tubing, mountain bike tours and a full golf course. There are plenty of restaurants close by, including The Louisiana Purchase Restaurant and Reid's Cafe. Sightseeing is plentiful in this area as well, such as the Apple Hill Alpaca Farm, Mile High Swinging Bridge and Foggy Mountain Gem Mine. Things to know: Free WiFi Central A/C Full Kitchen (dishwasher) 4WD or AWD is highly recommended in the winter months Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

This was our 2nd time staying at this house and LOVED it each time! It's nestled on a hill in the woods away from the crowds on Sugar Mountain (even though it's attached to another unit). The living room is cozy and the beds are soft! The kitchen is great for cooking in rather than going out to eat and there's plenty of seating for a larger crowd. The covered back porch could use some updated furniture, but it does offer a large table for eating outside. My only complaints would be the 10am checkout time and 2 car minimum (for 8 people). My only suggestion to the owners, would be to restock some kitchen utensils that might be warped or rusty. Thank you for a great stay!

This was a wonderful place to stay and was convenient to all the lovely small towns around the ski resorts. The house had everything we could ask for. We all mentioned how it was like having your own home there. Beautiful comfortable furnishings and art work. The beds were so comfy. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Owner note: we did have a bear visit with the trash can. It didn’t get in but scratched up the can pretty good and may have damaged the lid a bit but did not get inside. We never heard a thing! Also we couldn’t get the fireplace to work but that may have been operator error. Thank you, it really was so lovely. You have a wonderful home.

Everything about this cabin was exceptional-the decor was absolutely beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked, the layout offered different areas of privacy for multiple family members and the outside covered deck was spacious and private. The master bedroom and bath were wonderful. Very private but close to restaurants grocery store and attractions (Grandfather Mtn, Sugar and Beech Mtn, Mast General Store, alpine coaster, etc). We would definitely stay here again.

This property is absolutely beautiful. It is large and can handle a large group easily. Very private- even though it is attached to another unit. We ate outside on the spacious, covered deck every night, and enjoyed the convenience to Banner Elk, as well as a grocery store, coffee shop, Lowes Hardware, and, of course, Sugar and Beech Mountains. The only thing we were disappointed in was the lack of extra linens, and we found dirty towels in the hamper that were still damp from previous guests. Luckily, there is a washer and dryer, so we washed them and solved our extra towel problem! Also, the garbage can on the deck was completely full! I would also put a fan in the upstairs loft bedroom- it gets quiet warm in there!

If your looking for a nice quit and relaxing place to stay, Elk Creek Hideaway is for you. It extremely clean and roomy. It has all the accommodations of home. We had 8 family members, and there was plenty of room.

Very comfortable and well appointed home. Really nice location close to Sugar/Beech Mtn and Banner Elk (without the curvy drive to het to the home). Great jumping off point to explore the area, and sleep well when you return!

Home was beautiful and in a great location. We had the beauty of the mountains without having a steep driveway and winding roads into the home. Everything was very nicely decorated and very comfortable.

This home was everything we could have asked for. We were checked on via text shortly after arriving. The home was a perfect getaway. Kitchen was well stocked and it was easy to get to. The road leading to the house is steep, so it may be challenging if the roads freezes, but hopefully they salt ahead of time. The only con was the water pressure in the master shower. Everyone ended up bathing in the upstairs bathroom because the shower wasn’t working well. We did not call anyone about it since our trip was so short. Would definitely stay there again. Super close to Sugar Mountain (5 minutes or less).

It’s a beautiful property, but the people that clean need training. If you have allergies it’s not the property for you the dust is bad on the blinds, under all furniture, on all lights the air filter needs to be changed, the oven top was dirty and the sheets in the downstairs bedroom were not changed! I have pictures! The dryer did not work They sent out a person to look at it and it was looked at by two different people but it still did not work both people tried to help but were not able to fix it! I think a new one is needed! As I said we made it work because I cleaned what we needed. The house is beautiful with beautiful views and had absolutely beautiful decorations. I hope the owners see this message so they can make changes to the cleaning crew! The manager on this property was very nice on the phone and tried to help with the dryer but it would not heat to dry the clothes. I will rent this property in the future to see if they will change anything in the way things are cleaned! One more thing the trash bin outside on the deck had dirty dipper’s stuck on the bottom of the can it smelled horrible some one needs to clean that trash bin it looks like it been dirty for a lone time!

It’s a beautiful property, but the people that clean need training. Our family of 7 LOVED our stay at Elk Creek Hideaway. From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we felt so welcome. It was late and very dark. The front door was lit with a Chrismas wreath and we could see the lit Christmas tree through the windows. There were also candles glowing as we entered the cabin. So cozy and inviting. The cabin was spacious, beautifully decorated and well stocked. So many "extras", such as games tucked in the great room coffee table, cute Christmas tree on back porch to accent the great furniture and arrangement out there, a supply of seasonal placemats in the dining area, extra blankets, an extra small bonus room with extra twin beds (we didn't use, but how nice if needed!), and the list goes on and on. Location was perfect! Boone, Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock were all just minutes away. BEAUTIFUL Views from the backporch of Grandfather Mt. and Sugar Mt. and from the front porch, Beech Mt. We cut our own Christmas tree on the way out of town at one of the local Christmas tree farms. We can't say enough good things about this cabin. Just perfect!

My family and I came into town for the weekend to attend the woolly worm festival. Had a great time and the accommodations were outstanding. Really enjoyed the spacious living space. We had an amazing time.

Perfect
This was the perfect place for our family. What a great home and not too far off the road but you felt like you were really away. I especially love the comforts of home and the beautiful artwork on the walls. I love the books available to read and all the special comforts from the bed to the couches! We had a great time!

The cabin was everything that we hoped for and more. I loved all the feel of the outdoors and spaciousness. My children absolutely loved the scenic view and wanted to stay another day. We will certainly book again and we are thinking about the Fall. Big plus everyone in Banner Elk were so nice.
