Owner Dominique and her two friends were very welcoming and friendly.  Tried to help with booking us a taxi,  and were keen to help us find the best restaurants for our two nights. We went to Andernos for the annual jazz festival and wanted to take a taxi to the venue, but all were booked.  We greatly appreciated the time the three ladies spent trying to organise our two night stay. Small apartment, with nice roomy balcony with table and chairs.  Partial sea view.  Fantastic location.  Good, small, clean pool just outside the building's main entrance.  Walking distance to the main parts and right opposite the oyster bays.  Allocated parking space in a car park behind the building.

I rely on other reviews when making my accommodation choices on this site, but as it is newly added, there were none. I would not have booked this property had I known the following: No mention of the property being on the 2nd floor. Main bed described as a large double bed is, in fact, a small double, certainly  not big enough for two to sleep comfortably.  Also, the bedroom is on a mezzanine, accessed by creaky wooden stairs, which don't feel that secure, especially if going down to the loo at night, as the bathroom is downstairs next to the kitchen.  Bedding and towels are not supplied for 2 night stays, but we were only informed of this after we had made our non refundable booking. Luckily, we were going in our car, and thought to bring our own pillows and two sets of bedding, which were needed, as we could not have both been able to sleep comfortably in the small double.  We opened up the convertible sofa on the main floor, as it was bigger than the bed, but discovered the pull out part was really filthy and covered in what looked like white hairs (animal) and dandruff or dead skin. I closed it up and slept on top of a sheet on the main sofa. I was bitten several times during the night and skin was crawling with a feeling of itchy dusty.  Three days later, I am still covered in itchy bites. My husband slept upstairs and was fine.  We decided we couldn't face a second night.  We did not ask for a refund for the second night and nor was one offered, when I explained why we were leaving.  Unfortunately my French wasn't adequate to describe my insect bites, but I explained about the dirty bathroom, which had a basin covered in shaving stubble and scum.  There was a used sanitary towel in the bin, and dust/ fur on pipes in the bathroom . Kitchen cupboards heaving with old plates, food mixers, a toaster with woven cloth cable which must date back to the 1960's. The property needs to be de cluttered, properly cleaned, and perhaps fumigated.
