The bed was comfortable, the location was convenient.

The whole property from the foyer through to the corridors and room needs a thorough clean. Walls need to be repainted. Bathroom was filthy with remnants in the toilet from a previous guest who hadn’t flushed the toilet, which also indicated the toilet hadn’t been cleaned. There was a rusty shower rack with previous guests toiletries. The tv didn’t work, the fridge made a high pitched noise. Safety is a huge concern, there are no staff on the premises over night, in fact I didn’t see any staff as my key was left on the reception desk for me to collect even though I went to check in at 2:30pm. During the night of my stay two men were in the hallway outside my room and were yelling and fighting. There were no staff on sight so guests are left to fend for themselves. I was terrified in my room, the men were making references to taking drugs and were bashing on doors, including mine, and trying to open the door. Did I mention I was terrified? I ended up having to contact the police who attended, yes there’s a combination for the entrance to the hotel which I provided to the police so they could get in and help me. The men were clearly guests, I guess that’s not the fault of the hotel however if they had on site staff this could have been dealt with immediately. I was so terrified that I left the hotel at 3:30am and drove to Launceston. I would not recommend staying here for multiple reasons including filthy premises, no care for guest safety and the low rate which clearly attracts some not so desirable people.

the key didn’t work, there was no one at the front desk to answer questions, when asked if we could change rooms due to the key we were told they were booked out but didn’t see another occupant, the place smelt of Chinese because of the restaurant below, the hall way was filthy, and we were not given the code to get in late at night.

Cleaning left a lot to be desired. Marks on the ensuite mirror, rubbish under the bed from last customer, dust on side table. The remote for the TV didn’t work, the air con was not the best. Could be quite noisy. The smoke alarm went off one morning (false alarm) I never saw any staff personally to clear the hotel or give us instructions.

Lovely staff member who checked me in, and such a comfortable bed. Very central location too.

It has some wear and tear and the room was quite basic, but that didn’t bother me, I was really comfortable. The soap rack in the shower needed cleaning.
