The Cabin style accomodation was really nice.
The communication was all smooth, the self checkin and the self checkout happened all smoothely...
The location seemed great but we didnt have enough time to explore the area near the lake or the common spaces with the kitchen
Nothing to mention

The room is very cosy and of good size
The bathroom was too small and some renovation for the shower would be great. Otherwise good value for money

The room is clean and I really like the coffee provided.
The kitchen is tiny with very basic equipment.

Very busy place. People kept coming IN and OUT non stop with cars. Best is when somebody comes with car (big pickup) in the middle of the night and leaves the engine running next to your cottage for half hour. So it was a very disturbed sleep. It's not necessary a staff's fault, it's just how it is there.

Lovely clean room in a great location close to Akureyri. Beds were comfortable and there was a kitchen at the property if you needed to make some small meals.
Nothing, all good

Our cabin was the heaven we were hoping to find in Iceland. All the way up north, just next to Akureyri, the most northern big town in Iceland, yet far enough from it to enjoy the peace and quiet nature and the fjord. In the mornings we were woken up to the endless whiteness coming from the snow and the ice in the valley visible from our cabin. We enjoyed cooking in the shared kitchen in the main house, having the morning coffee in the hot tub outside on -15, and then taking off to our day trips anywhere. The proximity to Akureyri allowed us to enjoy some northern city vibes too, with the possibility to have drinks or a meal in one of the gorgeous places there! The slopes were also very close, just a short 10-12 drive from our cabin. The highlight was the nighttime: we were blessed to have the Aurora Borealis almost every night, and our stay was perfect for it: almost no light pollution at all, an outdoor hot tub that allowed us to enjoy the lights soaked in hot water with some drinks, silence everywhere, just wonderful and out of this world experience! We loved also our hosts, they were amazing and always available, thank you Andrea and Christian with your family, for everything! Highly recommend this place for a northern paradise vacation!
Nothing, it was perfect! Keep in mind though arriving with a car would be much more practical to move around in the area, but I guess most of the people staying in Akureyri do just that anyhow!

Really special place, hot tub was incredible. We watched the northern lights while soaking and the cabin was perfect.

The owners are super nice and friendly. The place is beautiful: it was wonderful to have breakfast looking out of our window to the countryside, and in the common area/kitchen we surprisingly had dinner with two other Italian guests (shoutout to Sean and Elisa from Lucca!), who were super nice. In the kitchen, you can leave stuff for other people to use, and utilize the ingredients that have been left. There even are some eggs for sale, but I recommend to have some cash on you, since you need will need Icelandic krona (coins) to buy them.
Numbers on cottages don't really follow an order (or at least we didn't get it), so we had to drive around a bit before finally asking the owner. We didn't want to bother her since it was 9pm but eventually we did, and she was super nice and helped us immediately.

We were very happy we could bring our two dogs with us, and there was very close this beautiful, big dog field.
The Guesthouse is very close to the City but gives the feeling of countryside.

Good situation, clean. Cute and friendly cat in the garden.
Cabin was old and the floor cracked at each step, impossible to go to the toilet at night without waking up the other person. Very poor kitchen facilities. Hot tub was not working and it was not offered at our arrival and then we couldn't find nobody to ask. It was one of the most expensive accomodation of our trip and one of the worse quality/price.

The owner was very friendly, the cottage is nicely furnished.
The cottage is very small. Not being able to cook in the cottage but in the basement of the main house is a disadvantage, else the kitchen is very old and not too comfortable to sit.

Nice to have an entire place to ourselves, super easy check in process even when owners weren't home. Nice to see a refrigerator in room even though I didn't need it.
The drive was a few minutes outside of Akureyri but I knew that when I booked it. Peaceful countryside location though.
