The pictures don't do this place justice

There were no kids, amazing views, spectacular private breakfast on the beach, thorough room cleaning( our cleaner was the best)

Smell of fresh paint( but it was good they were maintaining the property), and the AC being put on full blast when we were out( it was ok as we would sit on the balcony and wait for the room to warm up)

Excelente estancia para lunas de miel

Localización, vistas, piscina y actividades de mar. Buffet correcto aunque algo repetitivo. Buena disposición y amabilidad de todos los empleados.

El wifi a veces perdía señal (también lo hacían los datos y señal del móvil). Los enchufes no son todos internacionales. Al cuarto le faltaba un poco de mantenimiento.

Superbe séjour. Je vais recommander cet hôtel a mes amis

Top établissement bien entretenu,personnels agréable. Le pot d'arriver super sympa et les petits mots aussi dans la chambre. Sécurité à l'entrée de l'hôtel .et room service bien.

Parfois il manquait de la communication, comme pour les activités nautiques gratuite inclues dans l' hôtel. Ou le dérouler des repas comme pour la soirée BBQ il s'agissait d'un buffet et pas service a table sauf pour la langouste.

Good location but unnecessary restrictions on guest it’s like a jail

Property was in good location in beach front Good rooms big size

I had issue in my room one night I had rat in my room and running around in my room and bed I did not sleep all night Next morning I inform the management they never say anything tilll I ask for room change Next day I have to sit out side till lunch time to get my new room

Personnel froid Accueil pas agréable à notre arrivé Vendeur qui vous interpelle pour dés tableau et du rhum à 9h du matin quand vous allez petit déjeuner Salle de bain joint carrelage tout moisie, murs sales, finition globale décevante. Même pas d’eau quotidiennement dans la chambre il faut payer. Petit déjeuner produit très bas de gamme ( viennoiseries, fruit absent …)au prix de 22€ Piscine non chauffé très froide et vétuste ect …

Overall it was a nice experience.

The room was nice and clean. The sea view and sound of the waves wad very relaxing.

The fruit at the breakfast was not that fresh. The bathroom was not spacious enough.

Poor service and disappointment for a honeymoon stay.

Nice resort, clean and tidy hotel.

We booked a week in advance for a honeymoon stay at Solana Beach. The day before arrival, we received an email saying that the hotel is fully booked and we’ve been upgraded to another hotel “Preskil island resort.” It was a nice resort, hotel was clean and tidy. However, we booked Solana Beach as it’s closer to our home. And we had to pay Rs2500 for transport. The receptionist over there did not even know it was a honeymoon stay, even though we already sent a message about it, upon booking. Customer care and service was not up to standard at all, for a 4* hotel. Overall staff seem to be too relaxed and not attentive and proactive to customers’ needs. We are deeply disappointed and did not expect such a poor service. We’re hoping amends can be made for us.

I would go over and over again. Every room was ocean facing

Almost everything, the beach was beautiful and felt private. Im not a morning person but I would always wake up to catch the sunrise, Every room is ocean facing. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. the rooms are beautiful and clean. the staff was amazing. They also offer some free activities. they have 3/4 restaurants on site

the drinks at the bar were pricey.

Great view from room but hotel with potential to improve ( run down )

- rooms with great view to ocean - very good breakfast - just 10 meter away from diving center ( but they are not connected and you cannot get ANY infor from hotel :( ) - security felt good - great beach ( amazing one not directly infront of hotel) just around 50m behind a corner

- facilities are run down inside - i felt top management cares, but middle does not care or does not do their job ( in some review 1/2 year ago you can read about the mattraces at the pool - please look on second picture, pink bed, would you like to lay down on such clean mattrace with fungy on bottom? ) - when i arrived i was told i booked a bad & breakfast, i booked a 4 start hotel for not small money at all with breakfast - there was an issue with water leakage in my room on arrival (3 meter wet wall ), got new room..

it was a pleasant, lovely stay. they tried their best to accommodate special requests.

location is good, food is good. Most staff are friendly but there are ones who were not so friendly. good entertainment in the evening.

some unfriendly staff. there were too many bugs attacking us. we saw mice and cockroaches . service is very slow. very poor pool and beach service. we had to wait quite long for drinks and two occasions no drinks arrived

Great stay

The food was delicious every day, we enjoyed every that the chef prepared it was super delicious.

There was a manager at Pomelo restaurant, he has a very bad customer service, he turns away business from paying customers. His etiquette is not good at all. He doesn’t treat guest with respect. He wants to service guest the way he feels, doesn’t listen to the guests needs. I forgot his name but he’s short and wears glasses

Pleasant

The location was perfect, right on the beach and the snorkeling was beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable

At this hotel you have to sign for everything which was very annoying when we were paying for fully inclusive. If they have different package deals they should ask their clients to wear different arm bands on their wrist. The receptionists were very unfriendly. The pool is very dated and so is the hotel. They even charged us for a phone call to book an excursion. They food and cocktails were very average and if you order anything that is not part of your fully inclusive They are very expensive.

Lovely staff but that’s the only great thing about this place.

the staff were the best thing about this hotel, they went above and beyond assisting us with anything needed but I’m not sure if that’s because we had a lot of problems there.

well to get started when we first arrived our booking was confused and said we weren’t all inclusive so that was a debacle. Secondly, when we ordered lunch my girlfriends salad came with a live cockroach inside of it (can attach pictures if needed) which at first they tired to give a terrible excuse but my girlfriend being a fine dining chef knew that there’s no excuse for such a thing to happen in any type of kitchen. we alerted staff to as why previously said I think they were extra helpful to us. Thirdly, our drains were blocked in our room casing a horrible stench which took forever to fix and didn’t offer a 2nd room. Lastly, our bed in the superior room was two beds placed side by side so when we slept they started to separate causing back pains in the morning. To top this off I have a screenshots of booking.con lowering the prices when we checked in meaning if we booked on the day instead of two weeks in advance we could’ve saved £150 for our stay and booking.com are yet to contact me on this issue. This was supposed to be for our anniversary and to tell the truth I would highly suggest that you stay elsewhere as for the price it’s not worth it and you could find a lot better on the island.

Staff were pleasant, but also seemed completely uninvested in the idea of customer service. We were only there for one night, and not for a holiday (thank goodness), so it may have been related to that. But we were happy to leave.

All in all we had a pleasant time at Solana Beach.

- Very nice welcome with ice cold sugar cane juice and delicious cookies - just what we needed after the long journey - Nice sea view room - free trip with a glass bottom boat that took as to a great nearby snorkeling spot where we saw many beautiful fishes (the boat house staff in general was super nice) - responsive personnel that helped immediately if there was an issue - housekeeping twice a day ensuring we always had fresh beach towels - great breakfast buffet with a wide variety of food and the restaurant is directly located by the beach so the view is great

- some facilities could have been taken better care of. Mostly the pool area. The upholstery for the pool chairs seemed like it was hardly ever cleaned and especially during the first days the pool water looked like it could use a clean as well. - While staff members were always friendly a lot of times what they were saying seemed very robotic and they were not ready for a casual banter (of course this could be down to language as well) - In general we were approached too many times with a sales pitch. when we arrived we were asked four times to upgrade to half board. every morning at breakfast someone came and tried to convince us to book a spot for the special themed dinner. it was a bit annoying in the long run.

Hotel in the middle of paradise

Everything was great, especially the room with sea view and the service. They cleaned the room two times a day. The beach is also beautiful and very clean, looks like paradise. They offer free snorkeling.

The hotel is far away from shops, so you can't buy anything like mineral water or snacks from outside. Prizes for water in the hotel restaurant are a little bit high for that. And the food is a little boring after a few days, always the same currys and rice.

The golden years of this hotel are over.

Nice located hotel with a large and well-kept garden. The rooms are in front of sea, really close to a beach, and there is no need to use an AC because of wind. Beach facilities aren't crowded.

Our room had a problem with ants. They were everywhere, walking from outside. Also rooms should be renovated. I find spider's web above AC. The hotel should pay more attention about cleaning rooms.

Was ok, too expensive and didn't meet our expectations.

That hotel is "adults only", so there were no kids, no animals. We had our peace and could enjoy quite time. The internet connection was good. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is directly on the beach.

The Hotel is too expensive for the value. Pictures in booking.com were different than in real. The beach has many stones/rocks/ broken corrals so you always need water shoes. A beach is very small and narrow. Hotel itself needs upgrading, everything looks very old, bathroom has mold. We saw two times cockroaches. In restaurant there were supposed to be different evenings: Mauritius, Mediterranean, Indian, Marrocco however the food was every evening the same: fish, rice, pizza, salat. There was no mangoes or lychee. When taking a shower water was coming on the floor. Entertaiment team didn't do much with guests, evenings were boring, not engaging, no bingo/games/ karaoke/dancing/ contests- so it's funny for all as there is nothing around the hotel so we couldn't go outside anywhere in the evening. There are no buses so must take taxi all the time which are very expensive (to the grocery store, 6 km away, 25E)
