Delmar was great, very receptive , our AC was not working and they replaced both AC's by the next day
Pros
Kitchen well stocked, dishes, pans, dish soap & hand soap provided
Game room, pool table & dart board- you will need to bring your own darts
Mattresses were good, not great
House was clean, we did not have a problem with any bugs
Cons
Couch & love seat very stained, I brought light blankets with me and used to cover them
Rugs & throw pillows could use a cleaning
Ping pong table unusable
The pictures used for property should be updated to current time

For the most part our stay was good.
However the window a/c units varied and all different. In the dining room the temp button doesn’t budge. In the bedroom with two beds the a/c was so loud I couldn’t sleep and had to move into another room.
There was no laundry detergent at all. Even a small amount would have been helpful for people who have just traveled up. Supplies were thin: hardly any containers w lids, no foil or plastic bags and not very many silverware items. It is hard to bring up stuff like that, so a bit more supplies would really be appreciated.
There was only a small liquid hand soap in each bathroom so that had to be used in the shower as well. A couple bars of soap or tiny bath gel would have been very welcome as well.
But overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a wonderful time at this home where four adults and three children over the age three stayed. The location is optimal, close to all Eastman beaches and the Cape Cod National Sea Shore. It’s also a very convenient distance to a host of restaurants and activities. The game room in the basement can use some freshening up as we did not use the ping pong table, pool table, or darts once. The home is the right amount of space with a good kitchen and dining room set up which flows into the living room. The outdoor shower was a very nice addition, as well. The check in and check out process couldn’t have been easier.

The pros: Great proximity to rail trail. Nice backyard for kids. Kitchen well-stocked with appliances and tools. Kitchen and baths very clean upon arrival. Living room sofas are comfortable. Del Mar staff were all courteous and professional.
The cons: FOUR dead mice in game room/basement. Lots of bugs, spiders, earwigs, inside the home. Musty smell throughout. Transfer station across the street smells and is loud (breaking glass). Ping-pong table too warped to play. Mattress either is very old or very cheap and was uncomfortable and needs replacing. Wall to wall carpeting feels damp and sticky underfoot. TV is too small for the living space (this is a very cheap upgrade). AC unit didn’t work and needs replacing. Workman showed up unannounced (delmar staff said she didn’t know he was coming) and banged very loudly on roof.
This was our fifth VRBO rental, the most expensive of all, and the only bad experience we’ve had. We chose it because of the location and the ability to bring our dog and knew from pictures it was a home that needed updates but what we experienced was just so disappointing.

We stayed only 3 nights and the location was central and easy to get to. There’s a trail nearby for walking/biking.
Comfortable beds and plenty of space to hang out. Issues were that the windows ac units had large gaps to the outdoors and there were lots of insects and spiders coming in all the rooms and small ants crawling around the kitchen sink.
I tried to plug up the gaps with crumpled up paper towels and that helped a bit.
Basement area is fun for rainy days with a pool table, but the ping pong table was warped and there were no darts for the dart board. The Cape is meant for outdoors and beach so that’s not such a big deal. Driveway roomy enough for 3 vehicles. We used portal to notify DelMar of issues but didn’t get email response till the following day. Would have been nice to get an immediate response. We are not big TV watchers but the tv was on the small side. Overall comfortable living quarters.

This property was in a great location for everything we wanted to do while on the Cape. We really enjoyed the outdoor space in the back yard/deck area.
The house offered plenty of space for our party of 5 and was pet friendly. I would have loved to rate this place higher, but there were some cleanliness and general maintenance issues that need to be addressed. In addition, the game room area in the basement was not as we had hoped.

Thank you for hosting us - we had a fabulous week - full of sunshine and happiness.

The house was beautiful and modern. Large enough for multiple people and welcoming for dogs. Very well stocked with dishes and cooking equipment, but also short drive to many restaurants, ice cream places, etc. Nice large backyard for kids to play, equipped with table for 4 and a propane grill. Near many ocean and bay beaches. Our 2nd stay with Del Mar, and they are VERY responsive if any maintenance needs to be done (we had one small issue-- 1 shower door jammed. Fixed in a day). The only negative is it was very expensive-- not something we could do often.

Checking in was an absolute breeze and the property was layer out perfectly. The best add on was the pool table and ping pong in the basement - gave us all something to do when it was raining out or at night.

We are frequent visitors to the Cape and this rental was the most expensive property we have ever rented in Eastham.
On a positive note, the house had spacious living areas, as well as, 3 good sized bedrooms. The location, though by the town dump, was easy to access the bike trail, Rte. 6, restaurants, mini golf and beaches. An outdoor shower is always a plus when we go to the Cape and this house had one. My husband enjoyed the grill that was provided.
On the downside, for the money there should have been more attention paid to this house and the items within it. For example: the top rack of the dishwasher continually came off its track. The washer and dryer made extremely loud noises that scared the adults and a baby. Someone should look at and repair the washing maching immediately, before it needs to be replaced.
Tender loving care needs to be done to this house to make it better. There were no plastic/glass storage containers for leftover food. Hangers were scarce in the bedroom closets and need to be purchased. The furnishings (end tables) were of poor quality and are showing wear. There were picture hooks on the wall, but pictures were missing. When we first arrived and started to use the silverware and pots and pans they felt greasy. The outside umbrella had a broken spoke and there was no fuel in the Tiki Torches surrounding the deck. We purchased and left matches for future use. The hand operated can openers (3) did not work. We purchased and left a hand operated can opener that worked.
The lawn service came to the house unannounced and sprayed debris all over us as we were trying to enjoy a snack on the deck and while rocking a baby to sleep. Had we been notified of the lawn service's schedule, we would have made other plans.
Though there were many things that need "love", my family had a great time!

We were surprised to find a place that ‚was not much loved‘ with cheap furniture and stains, things missing for basic living for a rather high fee. Location to bike path and beach was great.
Ac units are very loud.

During COVID we expected a cleaner house. When we first arrived all the ac units were on the floor and we had to contact the property managers to install them. The gas grill was filthy and didn’t ignite. We actually left early because we found cockroaches!!
We love the cape and plan to return... just not to that house.

Excellent location on the Cape
This is the second time we have stayed at the Laughing Lobster. This dog-friendly home is comfortable and well-equipped, and we love its close proximity to the ocean beaches and the rail trail. The property manager is very responsive and checked with us a couple of times to make sure we were having a comfortable stay. We look forward to staying here again!

Comfortable home close to the ocean and the bay
We enjoyed a long fall weekend in this spacious home which was close to the national seashore and the gorgeous bay sunsets. We made most of our meals at the house, which had a well-stocked kitchen (although there were no spices or food basics, so be sure to bring your own). We loved being able to ride down to the bike trail from the house!

Very nice house, modern and spacious, convenient to beaches and restaurants.
Very clean, modern interior, with spacious rooms. Perfect for small family vacations. Location perfect for all Cape activities, especially beaches and bike trails. Large back yard with deck, patio and gas grille. Dog friendly property with useable garage, basement with pool table and ping pong. Quiet neighborhood but great location. More of a suburban house than a camp, but a great choice if roughing it is not your thing. Management contact was organized, consistent and helpful. Highly reccomend!

Extremely clean home with all the required amenities! Great wooded backyard for our dog to play and back deck to enjoy time outside. Plenty of room for 4 people to spread out and be comfortable. Plan to use this home again in the future!!

Great Family Vacation House
This well-appointed vacation rental gave my family everything it needed. The basement game room with the ping pong and pool table was a big hit. Close to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, we enjoyed bike rides to Coast Guard Beach, Nickerson State Park, and Nauset Light Beach, plus Arnold's for lobster rolls and mini-golf. The property manager went above-and-beyond to see that we were comfortable—bringing a brand-new blender to our doorstep. I would recommend this house to anyone!

National Seashore - CENTRAL
Brought the family down for a budget vacation over April vacation week and we had so much fun! The weather was surprisingly perfect (65 and sunny) and we had endless trails, ponds and beaches to explore. My kids really enjoyed the National Seashore museum just 2-minutes down the road where we spent hours learning about whales! We'll come back for sure - and thank you guys!

Game Room was a lifesaver!
We had a relatively rainy week - but I was so glad I had booked this house for the family! Anytime we were stuck inside, the kids went to the basement to play ping pong giving my husband and I some peace. We're coming back next year for sure!

Sunny deck was a delight!
We loved this vacation rental! Owner has put a lot of thought into landscaping and it is a very sunny yard. We enjoyed the peace of listening to birds in the morning on the back deck. Thanks!

HUGE yard - tons of games!
We're a competitive family (and understatement) and we bring yard games everywhere we go. We did a round robin of basketball, bocci, bean bag toss, whiffle ball, and ping pong. We brought some of those games ourselves, but it was nice having all the space in the yard to play. (our kids had a blast!). Thanks to the owner for making a beautiful home for us to borrow for a week!

Tidy, clean and fully functional
We traveled from Norway with another couple and found this gem of a vacation rental. Literally a 5-minute drive to everything and so accessible to the bike trail. We spent 1/2 our week biking and seeing all the Cape Cod sites. Del Mar Vacations was very responsive when we had questions and we'd love to book with them again!
