Nestled in Surry, this attractive house for $574 per night is a great option for your next break. Sunday to Sunday rental during July/August. Cadillac Views is a meticulously maintained and well-equipped home located in a quiet and peaceful setting on the shores of Union River Bay. Roomy and comfortable with hardwood floors throughout, the main floor includes a living room and formal dining room (with seating for 6) as well as an open family room/den with comfortable furniture, satellite TV and two sliding glass doors leading out onto the deck where you'll find comfortable furniture for relaxing and enjoying the view. The well-equipped kitchen just off of the family room and has granite counters and an island with seating for four. There is also a study tucked away on the main floor with a desk and wireless printer. There is a full-sized washer and dryer in the garage. All three bedrooms are on the second floor along with the second full bath (shower). Enjoy breathtaking views from both the master bedroom and one of the two other lovely bedrooms, both with queen beds. There are two more TVs as well. A finished basement includes a sofa, TV, additional fridge, game table and propane "wood" stove. Stepping outside you will find a wooden bench swing, hammock and 6-person hot tub. A backup generator provides backup power. Newbury Neck is on a quiet road that's good for walking and riding bikes. Conveniently located about 15 minutes from Blue Hill and Ellsworth, it's a well-situated home base for day trips to Acadia National Park (about 34 miles away) and other points Downeast. The expansive gravel beach and protected bay make it an ideal spot for launching kayaks for all levels of experience. Guests return again and again to this house and often say that the photos do not do it justice. It is truly a home away from home for your family getaway. This property rents Sunday to Sunday from June 30th - October 20th.

We recently spent a week at this lovely home as Maine was bracing for a hurricane. When the storm hit on our last day we were prepared for the worst but, when the power went out, the whole house generator kicked on within seconds and powered the entire house for the duration of the outage. Prior to that day we enjoyed using the outdoor spa and sitting out on the beautiful well maintained deck (loved the firepit towers) while watching the fishing boats. It was a great place to relax after hiking Acadia. The drive to Acadia NP & Bar Harbor was approximately 40 minutes depending on traffic but an enjoyable drive. The home was well stocked with essential supplies (toilet paper, soap etc) and an extremely well stocked clean kitchen. The weather wasn’t hot during our stay and the fans kept the house very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again - it’s a quiet, lovely home filled with antique furniture & fantastic artwork. Thank you for having us!

My family and I have been to Surry Maine several times due to its beauty and convenience to Bar Harbor. However, this summer was not what we had anticipated. Upon our arrival the house had a horrible smell coming from the garage. The garage was filled with many bags of rotten garbage and the stench from the garbage was permeating into the house. When I reported it to the property manager, it was taken care of.

The house was amazing as were its views The yard was great for us to play. Plenty of room to toss a frisbee The private beach was spectacular. Using it at various times depending on the tides. It was a dream vacated

This was our 2nd year in a row renting this property and the difference between last year and this year was substantial. The house was very well stocked with laundry detergent, dish soap, linens, towels, paper towels, etc. Last year we arrived and had to immediately run out to buy toilet paper, detergent and dish soap. Huge improvement in supplies from last year. The only issue we have had the past 2 years is trash left behind from other guests. If it’s not left in the covered bins it makes the garage smell rancid which is where the laundry is. We were also caught off guard by workers arriving to reconstruct a small walkway bridge. Once I spoke with the host they did not return during our stay. Our kids loved looking for hermit crabs, starfish and other ocean creatures on the beach directly in front of the house. We also walked to Perry’s for dessert . Kids loved the ice cream but our favorite was the cheesecake and blueberry pie. Schoodic Point was about an hour drive, Bar Harbor was about 50 minutes from the house. There is no A/C but the ocean provides a nice breeze and cooler nights. We enjoyed the deck (lots of seating), hot tub and hammock! Also there is a Keurig and plenty of pods of different flavors were provided. We are so glad we gave this property a second chance. We look forward to booking again next year!

Family of six fit comfortably, we loved the property especially the lawn!! and found lots to do to entertain us. The small beach access was wonderful and we loved hanging out on the back deck! Hot tub very appreciated by all. Location is fairly remote but easy day trips into Acadia and Bar Harbor. With a Sunday to Sunday rental be aware that some of the local places close their kitchen on Saturday nights at 7 pm. The road on which the property was located was very good for bike riding, walking and running though some cars seemed a bit speedy, the sandy shoulder provided more comfort than many country roads, and drivers would slow when they saw us. The house well stocked with linens towels dishes etc - really a terrific place for a family vacation!

Very unique and cozy home with great views. The home was well stocked with everything you would need an very clean, bright and airy. At first we were concerned that there was no air conditioning, but the home is very cool with ocean breezes and it truly wasn't an issue at all. About a 45 minute drive to Acadia. Will definitely return.

The photos on the website do not do justice to the incredible views from this property - you literally look right at the water from your windows and the deck (just past the lawn in the photos). The house is very comfortable and had everything we needed. We could walk to the rocky beach out the back door, with a larger, public beach basically next door to the house, and we ate at Perry's Lobster Shack (also walking distance) twice. The location is great for exploring the Acadia/Bar Harbor/Downeast area. We had a minor hiccup with the check-in, but Nicole was super-responsive and we resolved it quickly. Really, I can't say enough good things about this property - highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. It is a little off the beaten path, but that makes it even better. Beautiful views, sunrises to die for and the stars at night combined with the wonderful silence, perfection!

My partner and I stayed here with 2 other adults. We arrived at night and we’re immediately impressed with the extremely well decorated, cleaned, and well stocked interior (everything you could want to make a meal and even take it to go on a hike, including a cooler backpack!). When we woke up in the morning we were amazed at the beautiful view of Cadillac mountain as we had planned to go to Acadia for most of our trip. Acadia was about 45 minutes away, but it was a scenic drive and nice to be away from the busy Bar Harbor area. We were also walking distance from “one of the best Lobster Shacks in Maine” according to Mainer and Perry’s did not disappoint! Truly an incredible stay that really made the trip!

This is a very comfortable and welcoming home with an addicting view of Union River Bay and Mount Desert Island. If you like to cook, bring only a garlic press; the kitchen has everything else. Spend all day watching the lobster boats or take a short stroll to the beach. Lots to see: Ellsworth is just 20 minutes, Acadia is another 20, and Stonington is well worth the 45-minute drive.

Perfect!

This property was perfect for us! The house was clean and very well maintained. The rooms are large and had everything you would need. The location is amazing! The views are beautiful and there is direct access to the water. You can walk to the local beach from the back yard. Let's not forget the hot tub which was terrific on cool evenings. There is also a restaurant on the water within walking distance. We highly recommend this property! Thank you for having us!

The views of the ocean and Cadillac mountain can't be beat from this location. The house was cozy and quaint and provided anything a guest would need. The kitchen was loaded with every kitchen tool a chef would need. The hot tub was a great way to end a long day hiking, shopping, etc. We would definitely stay here again.
