An amazing place. Would visit again 100%

Skully's house was exceptional. We booked for 4 days, but stayed for an extra day. Pool, bar, food court just right here. And that you will get a scooter for a day for free when booking a private room is a nice bonus, considering it is a bit pricey. But well, we live only once, right. And Skully was amazing host, as well as Ed. Girls at the bar did not let the palce down either.

Don't have anything to fault here. -25% of the private would be awesome, but that is not a minus, or a negative.

Adoramos a estadia!!

Quarto incrível. Muito cómodo e espaçoso. Com kitchnet, varanda e decoração agradável. Simpatia do staff. Bar e restaurantes com bom ambiente e comida. Moto gratis durante toda a estadia e combustível barato. Pequena loja com essenciais. Máquina de água filtrada. Pet friendly. Boa localização.

Necessidade de pagar estadia em cash. São permitidas crianças.

Agradable lugar para descansar.

Hay buenas actividades y está a la orilla del mar y una pequeñita playa. Tiene 2 cocinas para preparar tus alimentos.

No hubo Internet. Aveces la gente fuma en áreas donde no se debe fumar.

Skully's is my 'go to place' in Bocas.

Everything at Skully's contributes to an excellent stay: beach front view, great vibe, friendly staff, common kitchen, interesting guests to chat with, e-bike/scooter/ATV rentals on site, beach workouts, accessibility to restaurants, info on tours, etc... Skully's is my 'go to' place on Bocas del Toro.

A bit pricey for a private room, but it is Bocas. And we did have an ocean view.

Fantastic hotel with real character, excellent location, great people.

Absolutely loved this place. Unique experience all around, on a lovely beach. The personable staff, could not have been more helpful. Bar is a great place to hang. The attached Quad, scooter and ebike business was really unexpected. We went on a quad for a day which really helped us to see the island and find beaches The staff were really helpful in setting us up. In short: everything

Lovely hostel by Playa Paunch

Beds in the dorm rooms were SO comfortable (with personal light, fan, and outlet) with a curtain that provided great privacy. The kitchens were well equipped. Showers had great water pressure and consistent hot water. On weekends there is karaoke and live music.

Location is by one of the most beautiful beaches (Playa Paunch) but it’s a 15 minute drive into town, a $3 USD taxi ride each way (as of Jan 2024).

Everything was perfect

Really time at Skully’s house. The staff are very friendly, the room is clean and comfortable with an amazing sea view ! Lot of activities & animation (beer pong, karaoke, bingo, fitness course…) A pool next to a big bar ! Everything was perfect Thanks to Luigi & Pedro, we’ll be back!

Genau das, was ich wollte :)

Das Hostel war super cool! Mega Atmosphäre, super nette Leute, sauber, Meerblick zum Einschlafen mit dem entspannenden Rauschen – was will man mehr? An der Bar gibt es wechselndes Programm, wie Bingo, Karaoke und Beerpong. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Interessantes Hostel

Küche mit Meeresblick

Um ins Zentrum zu gelangen musste man jedes Mal ein Taxi um drei Dollar nehmen Einige Personen vom Personal haben uns eine falsche Auskunft über das Wäsche Service gegeben und es war ein wenig stressig dann jemanden zu finden der das für uns im Hostel übernimmt.

Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, grandiose Lage, gut ausgestattete Outdoor Küche, so wie beschrieben

Das die normalen Gäste der Bar den Poolbereich mitnutzen und trotz der Lage der Strand nicht zum schwimmen genutzt werden kann. Es sind nicht nur Steine, sondern Riffe.

Ausbaufähig

Alles in allem ist das Hostel optisch sehr ansprechend. Es gibt Billiardtische, eine Tischtennsplatte und etwas Kraftsportgewichte. Es werden verschiedene Aktionen angeboten. Das Personal ist freundlich, auf Nachfragen wurde versucht zu helfen (2. Decke). Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit Meerblick, das gut ausgestattet war (Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank, Safe, ein Handtuch pro Person)

Leider war es nicht sehr sauber und erwas in die Jahre gekommen. Trotz Nachfrage wurde das Zimmer nicht gereinigt (Reinigung erfolgt nur auf Anfrage, was an sich absolut in Ordnung ist). Das Zimmer hat unangenehm gerochen und im Strandbereich gab es öfter unangenehme (Fäkal-)Gerüche. Der Pool war leider nicht sauber und es schwammen einige Insekten darin. Auf Nachfrage wurde mitgeteilt, dass der Pool nachmittags gereinigt wird, gereinigt wurde er allerdings nicht. Man kann die Zimmergebühr nur Bar zahlen, an der Bar geht Kartenzahlung nur ab Mindestumsatz (10$) und mit Aufpreis.

Lovely beachy hostel with adjacent bar and restaurant, playing lots of 90s rock. Had a great time!

Beautiful location right on the beach! I could see the waves crashing from my bed.

Awesome hostel in bocas del torro

This spot is amazing, right on the beach, with the sound of waves as your wake-up call. The bar has an awesome vibe, and I can't wait to return. Shoutout to the cool people here who make it even better. P.S. Bingo lady, get a life

- Les dortoirs sont un peu humides, et pourraient être plus clean (présence de toile d’araignée) - Les douches pourraient être plus clean et plus éclairées pour la nuit

Great for couples or solo travelers.

Beachfront, Good Vibe, Great Bar and Food options.

I can’t find anything wrong. For $110 per night for a private beachfront room with Air and King bed, no one should be complaining.

Rude staff at reception, bloody towels, no hot water even though I paid for it.

Nothing.

It’s sold as a beachfront location but you cannot even swim because there are rocks all over making it dangerous to do so. There were also a lot of fleas.

can’t wait to return

the location of Skullys house, waking up to the sound of the waves was just what I needed. short cab drive from town that cost $3 was super easy and safe and I’m a solo female traveler. can’t wait to return!

A great accomodation!

Great atmosphere in the accommodation, complete kitchen and comfy beds. It's easy to get to by taxi for 3 USD. The staff was helpful at all times. Thank you! :)

Pleasant

The outdoor area was quite nice and the kitchen was well equipped. Some of the staff was super nice. large beds in the dorms. For going surfing this place is great

Location was way out of town but also quite far from all the beaches nearby. Not a lot to do. everything came at additional costs, even the towels, the food in the restaurants and the little shop was overpriced. The vibe at the hostel was interesting, a mixture of surf & American.

Fun Times, Eclectic Spot.

Very good

Great location next to the beach, restaurants on premise to get food but also had a nice kitchen. Rooms felt a bit cramped but were designed nicely.

You'll need a taxi into bocas town but that's to be expected :D the advantage is that you'll have a lovely and quiet stay, and there are activities in the hostel happening too

Superb

Staff was excellent. Food was always good. The bar was exactly what you expect from a fun, funky place. Skully was charming and fun and set us up for a great day with the ATV. The bed was super comfy and the view out the door was incredible.

Great accommodation, very clean and quite luxurious!

Great place to stay! Just a short taxi drive away from town, but you get so much in return! Great views, lots of activity and a nice pool.

The restaurants (which are officially not part of the hostel) were quite disappointing. Go to the pizza restaurant across the street.

Epic stay while meeting incredible people

Simply put- everything. Clean rooms, excellent staff, comfortable beds, great location (quick 2 min walk to surf, snorkel & $3 cab ride to town), great bar/ restaurants available on site, amazing atmosphere, quick easy access to flying pirates ATV rental. The perfect place

Refreshing and fun!

Liked the overall service mentality and friendliness. All various organized activities and evening events were much appreciated. The sea and the beaches. The ATV rentals and jungle trail. Boat taxis.

The breakfast, too few options and slow service.
