The setting for this Hawaiian-style beachfront property is a gorgeous piece of Kauai right on Aliomanu Beach (there is no direct public access). It lies well north of the local community of Anahola. Private and magical, This stunning home right on the beach is perfect for a romantic, quiet Hawaiian getaway. It features unique privileges that are hard to find on Kauai's north shore. Settled just thirty feet from the ocean, it has direct access to a beautiful, pristine, sandy beach. The water is also protected by a reef further out, so the beach is calm, safe, and warm, with the clear blue Pacific Ocean lapping at your feet. There are only about a dozen very well-kept exotic homes on this quiet lane (including one recently owned by Carlos Santana) with absolutely no through traffic. Its privacy is maintained due to the lack of public access. Depending on weather and tidal changes, the beach may be partially covered, and waves will lap against the edge of the rock wall fronting the home. (NOTE: *although this is an incredibly safe beach, there are no lifeguards on duty, so please be mindful of the ocean conditions.) The interior offers (2) bedrooms, a second full bathroom on the first floor, a separate kitchenette, and comfortably sleeps four on the 1st floor and an additional 2-4 on the 2nd floor. Every room in this house offers stunning ocean views, a cool and fragrant sea breeze, and the privacy of your own slice of beach. The home is a fully fenced property with gated access. Children can putter around without worries, safe inside our fully fenced front yard. If you suffer from allergies of any kind (mold, chemicals, etc.) the air in this home is the cleanest you will ever breathe, as it has been washed by three thousand miles of ocean air! ---- Rental Details: If you are interested in staying at our home, please make a preliminary reservation request through VRBO's website. Occasionally, we also book directly from requests we receive outside of VRBO, which is why they do not show up on the VRBO calendar, or on VRBO reviews. We require a five-night minimum, subject to specific dates and holiday seasons; other minimum stay requirements may apply seasonally; we also offer discounts for extended stays. This is a fun house in a secluded neighborhood. The beach is your backyard but you do have to get in a car to go anywhere. The beds are comfortable and the cable tv and internet worked great, but there’s some room for improvement with the kitchen equipment. We bought new glasses and a non-stick frying pan, but made do with the dull kitchen knives and half-working toaster. The breeze and ceiling fans kept us cool on all but the hottest days, but the open-air nature of the place means that you might end up chasing a few bugs.

We have stayed in the Kapaa/Anahola area before and this place was by far the best. The seclusion is unmatched. Absolutely stunning views from the top balcony! Thank you!

This home is - right on the beach - amazing views. We saw turtles, Monk seals, and manta rays! Amazing sunrises - Snorkeled right our front! Back garden area shelters from wind and is beautiful! Everything we needed was at the house and made it hard to leave to go site seeing ! Cannot wait to plan our trip back !

The property was delightful. Location very private and quiet. Easy travel to local towns. Beautiful yard for lounging and yoga and several areas to sit alone or in small groups. Nice to have a kitchenette besides kitchen since two folks slept in living area. Kitchen was adequate..... best for one person at a time. Would definitely go again. Well suited for two couples or a small family. Nice surprise that everything was as advertised. Only awkward part was not knowing how to check in and out.... having no guest instructions (they were to be emailed to me - I did not receive them)

This was lemonade made out of lemons after another host cancelled last minute. We spent way more money than we would have but thoroughly enjoyed the beach-front experience. Incredibly private and many different options for sitting and relaxing. Pictures in listing (outdoor furniture and second bedroom) don't really match reality. Was pleasantly surprised by water view from our bed (!) and second bedroom now has a full bed. Hostess was (self-admittedly) not a good communicator, so we were on pins and needles until the last day before check-in as to how to get into the house. She did leave us a lovely note and a bottle of sparkling rose, though ;-). The cottage really needs a binder with all the pertinent information in it (wi-fi; when trash goes out; what to do on checkout, etc.). Kitchen was a little light on equipment (we had just come from a ridiculously well-supplied kitchen at a cottage in Waimea), but we bought the one essential we missed and left it behind for others. On the flip side, there was a giant bottle of olive oil, and some fabulous Hawaiian salt to use ;-). Grill needed tending (only one burner worked), but was usable. I guess bottom line is the experience of living in the sweet beach cottage outweighs any less-than-perfect things, but the owner could save a lot of trouble for both herself and for her guests by writing everything down in a binder for guests so that they don't NEED to contact her. Make sure to sit and look for whales at least a few times a day!

The property did not live up to the expectation of the listing. There is no top floor king suite. There are two bedrooms on the main level and kitchen/living room/bath on the upper level. And there was a total lack of instructions for how to use the TV system. A big miss was no internet or wi-fi access for the place, while in a one bar phone reception zone. On a positive note, you are right on the beach and in a very private area. That was the big advantage of this spot.

This was honestly one of the best vacations I have ever been on. The home had everything we needed. But the BEST thing was the view and the locale. Right on Anahola Bay, a quiet beach, lots of whale sightings, turtles, interesting wildlife. Private front and back yard. Two kitchens. Plenty of towels, kitchen equipment, etc.

Really exceptional place directly on a quiet and essentially private gorgeous beach. Downstairs bedrooms adequate (small) but it's the upstairs living / dining and lanai that are special. Nice home, spectacular setting. Rent with confidence
