In a very rural setting this farm b&b provided an excellent stay. Our well appointed room, prettily decorated, overlooked a beautiful cottage garden (with rabbit). Our hosts were charming and welcoming. Our room teatray was supplemented with fresh chilled milk. We went out for an excellent meal at the nearby Blacksmith’s Arms which they recommended to us. Breakfast at Hullerbank was magnificent. We would most certainly return to this memorable little gem.
The rain could have stopped while we packed the car to leave.

Beautiful traditional farmhouse in a very quiet location. Perfect for relaxing. We could stroll to the local pub for supper and good beer. Excellent breakfast and very welcoming, friendly hosts. Thank you, we would love to come back and stay a while longer next time.
Nothing.

First class! Generous; all elements of the breakfast were top quality.
I would like my toast after my fry; I didn't have any room for it, so our rack was wasted.

We were looked after very well, our hosts were very welcoming, very attentive and the accommodation excellent.
We usually use hotels for brief stays, but this rural B&B was by far preferable to a hotel.

Friendly hospitality was outstanding.
Single beds need replacing as creeky. Needs more shelving around sink to accommodate personal toiletries.

Breakfast was superb. We were walking the roman wall and this was our last day walking. Breakfast was delicious and really powered the last 25 miles!!!

Great location, nice owers.
Tiny bathroom, room, sink was separate in the room itself - not handy. Not enough space to move around and put your own things.

The warm welcome from Sheila and Brian, and the excellent breakfast they provided, together with the comfortable and quiet atmosphere in their delightful farmhouse, were deeply appreciated.
There was nothing to dislike; Sheila apologised for the size of the en suite shower and loo - truly the smallest we have ever 'navigated' - but this did not detract in the slightest from the overall experience of lovely Cumbrian hospitality.

We received a lovely Welcome helpful & had a comfortable stay plenty to eat at breakfast
When booked I thought it was ensuite but the bathroom was next door to the bed room wasn't a problem in fact it was inkeeping to the farmhouse.

This bed and breakfast is a little off the beaten track - you'll be glad of a satnav or navigation to find the place. That said, it is only a few miles from Brampton and incredibly convenient if you are visiting Carlisle or Hadrian's Wall. Sheila and Brian are lovely. We chatted about local areas of interest and they helped me find a local laundry.
I enjoyed their home-cooked breakfast too.

The owners and staff are really friendly and welcoming, the rooms are beautifully presented and clean, all well equipped and looked after. Breakfast was also great with a little buffet and option to order a cooked breakfast. The area is green and quiet which we loved.

Couldn't fault it at all. Well worth a visit. Lovely people.

Beautiful historic house, friendly, helpful hostess, great breakfast. Slept like a log on a very comfortable bed. Tap water (as one reviewer didn't like it) tastes fine. No need for bottled water! Super traditional pub with excellent food ten minutes walk away. Lovely country setting. Ten minutes drive from Hadrians Wall. Warmly recommended.

An extremely welcoming and comfortable place! Lovely spot near Talkin Tarn. Sheila was so accommodating and provided such a friendly atmosphere! Breakfast was delicious and more than enough to fuel you for whatever your day holds :)

Runs on savings. Tiny wc with miniature shower not able to adjust flow due to the system installed. No mineral water only tap. Used to drink tap water but not smelly. No mineral water in breakfast too. No no-sugar drinks

Fabulous old fashioned farm house B &B,
Spotlessly clean, the owners could not have been nicer, best breakfast I have had.
Will visit again if in the area.
Walked half a mile to the Blacksmiths Arms where we had a very good meal with real ale.

It was absolutely delightful, with a warm welcome from Sheila and Derek, a most comfortable room with its own tiny shower room and loo fitted in, easy access on foot to the local pub in Talkin for supper and a beautifully maintained garden to enjoy from every window. Breakfast traditionally delicious; our hosts were attentive and generous, and there were some lovely stories to hear about the neighbourhood. As Derek pointed out, there was even a view of the Solway Firth from some windows. We enjoyed sitting in the cosy living room to catch up with our reading before retiring to our most comfortable beds. Thank you for having us!
