Fabulous Views of Yellowstone and Electric Peak
About this house rental
Hello and welcome to Peregrine View! 2019 was our first season renting our home and we couldn't be more excited to continue to open it up to you and your family! As we put our home on the market, we purchased many new items to upgrade the experience. We want our home to feel like a little vacation oasis for you! Our space is a large, quiet house away from the hustle of Gardiner proper. 1 mile from the North entrance is close enough to reach in minutes but far enough you don’t hear or see the copious amount of traffic. Please note the driveway is shared with a full time tenant who lives in the garage apartment. With stunning views of Yellowstone, you can see Electric Peak, Sepulcher Peak and Bunson Peak. Of those, we recommend Bunson Peak as a suitable hike for casual hikers. Imagine how exciting (and satisfying!) it would be to climb a mountain you can see from your vacation home? In the spring, blossoms are plentiful in the yard. We have several raised beds around the property which attract butterflies and humming birds. A wide open deck (recently rebuilt!) with a grill is perfect for dining and lounging. Plenty of yard space for games. Though you can see a "backyard" from inside, we ask that you respect the neighbor's privacy and not venture into the back yard. The home sleeps 6 comfortably between 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom is located on the main level right next to the master bath and down the hall from the kitchen, dining and living areas. Upstairs you will find 2 more bedrooms and a guest bath. All rooms have plenty of storage for luggage and the souvenirs you find along your adventures. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of tools to make preparing large meals or baked goods a treat. Please note we do not stock food items, though some may be available from previous travelers. The dining area (both inside and out) is quite large with plenty of space for the big spread you prepare or the take out boxes for when cooking is just too much effort. The living area has 2 large comfy couches and 2 additional chairs. You can open the french doors and have a lovely view of the deck, yard and mountains of Yellowstone beyond. We even have a large map of all of Yellowstone hung on our living room wall to aid in your adventure planning. There is a TV and DVD player (we are working on our DVD collection at the moment) and through these systems you are able to log into your own Prime or Netflix accounts. No local or cable channels are available. In the fall of 2022 we installed a new heater/air conditioning system to make the space more comfortable in both the winter and the summer. Each bedroom has a unit which can be adjusted with its own remote mounted on the wall. There is a 4th unit in the living room above the TV. ** Please note there is a pellet stove in the living room which is NOT functioning ** The final exciting perk that our home offers is that we have a great relationship with Yellowstone Wildlife Guide Co (https://yellowstonewildlifeguidecompany.com). We highly recommend them if you are looking for a private wildlife tour in Yellowstone during your stay. In fact, they will pick you up right in the driveway! Overall, we find this home to be cozy and welcoming with lots of amenities to make immersing yourself in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem as easy as pie. We'd love to host you and your family!

House was great. Would love to stay in it again.

We had a fabulous time in this well appointed, perfectly located home with great views. Large family space to gather and play games. A very well equipped kitchen. Information in the home was super helpful and very clear on having fun with loads of tips and recommendations. Towels for the hot springs. We had a blast. Warm loaf of bread was an amazing plus.

Peregrine was a wonderful place to stay to enjoy the beauty of the Gardiner area and Yellowstone. It is only a few minutes to get to the north entrance and we were able to explore the park and go on many hikes throughout the week. Gardiner is a nice town with some shopping, restaurants (we would recommend Wonderland) and groceries. The VRBO was well suited to our needs with plenty of space for the family to spread out. A beautiful deck is available with gorgeous views of the mountains. Expect to have some elk welcome you - they are all over the town! The home owner was responsive and the house was immaculate.

Excellent property. Easy to access. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. Clean. Great location for access to the northern part of Yellowstone. Also, for grizzly watching Tom Miner Basin/the Mott Ranch is an easy drive. The property manager was easily accessible by text and promptly responded to questions. Great place.

This property was a very short drive to the North entrance of Yellowstone. You could even walk to it! And Mammoth Hot Springs was just a few miles south, with bugling elk right in town. Highly recommend this home.

This was a great house with a beautiful view!! Nicely decorated and had everything you needed. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay. The mountain view from the back deck was spectacular. Gardner is a fun little town with quick access to yellowstone. Only complaint is the beds were ok but not super comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Large comfortable living area suited us well. It is a cute town and super handy to Yellowstone. Within a mile or two of the entrance. We had 7 elk one day on the side of the property which is not fenced. Most is fenced and beautifully kept. We had a great time at Peregrine View!

My family and I had an amazing experience with this house. It’s a great location to the park and everything we needed was there or available at the house.

Our family of five loved this house! My husband and I spent every morning on the deck enjoying coffee and THE VIEW! Great fenced in front yard. Our three teenagers liked the comfortable living space. They each had a bed as we separated the king into two twins. The kitchen had enough to cook big breakfasts and steaks on the grill at night. Convenient walk to anything in town, yet out of the way. Elk in the backyard were fun to watch. Super easy to get to the park entrance. This house was even better than the pictures showed!

Really great place to stay close to Yellowstone.

If you’re wanting to be extremely close to the park, this place should be on your list. Saw elk and deer in the back yard everyday. Living room was very cozy and will be great once the stove runs! Great place to stay overall. (A hot tub facing those amazing views would be icing on the cake 😜)
Only complaints
- Hot water can only handle 2 - 2.5 showers. After that, you’re out of luck for awhile. Which is an issue for a 6 person home and is much needed after spending full days in YNP.
- Upstairs to the left bedroom was extremely uncomfortable (could feel springs), the two in our party ended up sleeping on the couches.
-Upstairs to the left bedroom is advertised as a king bed but it’s really just 2 twins pushed together (kind of a bummer)

We had a lovely experience staying at this house. Jess was great to deal with and the house was more than adequate. A couple of minor comments; water heater could be bigger in order to accommodate more than 3 showers and updated/better quality pillows would be nice improvements. Also a few family games would be welcome.

Upon arrival, it was not clear how to enter the home. Stating it’s a shared driveway would help. Very spacious layout but did not appear to have been recently cleaned. Extremely dusty, cobwebs on lights and blinds throughout. Kitchen had dried food on utensils, cutting boards, and cooktop. Refrigerator shelves had remains of previous clients food. A bar of soap or body wash would be helpful in bathroom. We spent the first day cleaning the kitchen and dusting the entire house. It is a great location for the park, great views however would benefit from a little TLC. It’s a shame we had to pay the cleaning fee and then do the cleaning.

The property was clean, spacious and well appointed. Cooked several meals and always found what I needed. Nicely decorated including a huge map of Yellowstone on one wall of the main level. Place stayed very warm overnight when it apparently hit minus 40 degrees! The host was very responsive and nice. Awesome stay! Will definitely seek to re-book if we stay near the north entrance again.

We stayed in this lovely house and it’s amazing, everything we could ask for! Within minutes of the Yellowstone National Park Entrance but not too close to the every day traffic.

We reserved this house before the flooding closing the north entrance of Yellowstone. I’m so happy we stayed at the house even with the north entrance closed. The town was so beautiful and the people were awesome. There are great restaurants and shopping. Also, you can walk a mile into the park to see where some of the road has washed away. It was so cool to see history. The house was pleasant and spacious for everyone. WiFi worked great and the backyard was a serene place for coffee in the morning and drinks at night.

We loved this property and the area. The view from the deck is unbeatable. We were within walking distance to great food, some local bars, and the river. Gardiner is worth visiting even without a visit to the park (due to the road being closed from the flooding). We loved the shops and the fun things to do - rafting and horseback riding!!

Great spring getaway
My daughter, niece and I spent 2 nights at this wonderful house - loved the deck, sitting in the morning with a cuppa, and looking at the mountains....we did all our meals in the house and loved the kitchen which had everything we needed. Just a VERY short distance from the entrance to Yellowstone. GREAT STAY! Would definitely do it again --

Perfect location
We’ve been to Yellowstone many times and this is a perfect location for the North parts of the Park. While we had already booked with a guide, I met Evan the guide this property works with and he’s awesome so definitely check him out too. We wound have liked a more comfy couch like a giant sectional to hang out on, but honestly we weren’t there much so it’s probably just as well. The birds and elk in the back yard were such an extra treat.

This property was in a GREAT location and was in good condition. There was a ton of space - more than we needed - but was great for being able to spread out and also to use spaces for intended activities and just leave them up/out while we were there. We had a good mix of wildlife out the back window, which made coming back or waking up a little more fun. While we were a nice new patio set was delivered which we were able to take advantage of a few times. The property is walkable to downtime Gardiner and just a few minutes from the North entrance to Yellowstone (the famed arch entry point). We would definitely stay here again, and could have easily accommodated more people than we had (4 adults).

Great Stay
We enjoyed our stay. Highlights include the view of Yellowstone & wildlife in the backyard.

Great location and very responsive owner. Somewhat disappointed in the housecleaning service. It’s obviously a very popular property and showing signs of wear. The location and family appeal makes it a good choice.

Quiet Location in Gardiner
This property is at a great location. It is about five minutes from YNP but in a peaceful neighborhood as it is situated on a hillside across the main street and away from the busy bars and restaurants. If, however, you want to enjoy the Gardiner restaurants, they are just across the main street Used this property as a convenient home base to explore the park. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious as is the dining and living area. Enjoyed our stay.

Nice except for a few details
The location is great, just a minute or two from the north entrance to Yellowstone. The biggest problem with the property is that the master bath floor had mold/mildew in the grout between the tiles. Yuk! The inside has not been updated, and being right next to a permanent rental which shared the same driveway was not ideal. The air conditioning for the summer season was temporary, a large inside unit in each bedroom with a hose leading to the window. Only problem with the way it worked was that the hose connection was not secure, and only a thin particle board partition which was not fastened in the window let both the heat in during the day and the cold in during the night. The host was very nice and accommodating, and easy to deal with. It just needs a few touches to make at a great property.

Incredible location and property
We were greeted every morning my singing elk! This property is minutes from the North Entrance of Yellowstone and the home itself had everything we needed to enjoy a comfy family vacation. Hosts were very communicative and the entire process was easy! Would absolutely stay again!

Awesome view
Property was clean and well maintained and view of the mountains from the back deck were very welcoming in the morning with a cup of coffee. We even had a mother elk looking at us through the dining room window to our surprise. Would definitely come back to this area in future.

Great location!
Host was impressive with communication! Very helpful and quick to reply. Host was out of town before we arrived and the unit was not dusted, but the rest of the property was clean.

My family spend 4 days here and we enjoyed the house and especially the location. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The only real downside is that there is not a lot of air circulation in the bedrooms and they can be a bit warm at night, even when it's cool outside.
The outdoor space has a great view overlooking Yellowstone so we spent a lot of time on the deck.
