Find ample style and comfort at Island Retreat, a perfectly modern home on Martha's Vineyard. This elegant escape features a private piece of property with an open yard and a large patio where you can soak up the sunshine. Back inside, you'll love the gorgeous, spacious interior complete with a full kitchen and thoughtful, stylish decor. Bring the provided chairs and umbrella to the beach each morning, and come home in the afternoon to play lawn games with your loved ones. This home is conveniently located between West Tisbury (three miles south) and Vineyard Haven (five miles northeast). In the bustling harbor town of Vineyard Haven, you'll find a market, great seafood, art galleries, beaches, and a ferry terminal. You'll also be just west of Manuel F. Correllus State Forest, which offers excellent trails for biking and walking as well as a disc golf course. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. The house was perfect. The kitchen was stocked with the necessary cooking utensils/pots/etc. The decor was very relaxing and comforting. The furniture was stylish and useful (nice sectional couch and extra chairs).
We loved and were able to use the spacious back deck with the table and chairs.
We would 100% rent again.

The house is very homey and comfortable, complete with children's books in the bookcase, including the Penderwicks. In fact the house reminded my daughter and me of a summer retreat just like in the Penderwicks series.

Great time a little far away from the good beaches about a 20 min drive everywhere can’t really go to lamberts cove it’s private.
Needs new couch . Screen door didn’t work on deck and we fixed it. But nice decorations had all ammemities

Somewhat centered in the island makes it easy to get to the more populated areas. Beautiful wooded location with a great deck to hang out in the morning or later in the evening.

House was very nice house and yard. An outdoor fire pit would have been nice in the cool nights. The only minor issues was that the light switches didn’t make sense.

This was a lovely home just off State Road in West Tisbury, near the supermarket and several smaller stores. The home had an umbrella and beach chairs for the beach, and walk-on and a parking pass for gorgeous Lambert's Cove Beach which was great as that beach is private. The beds are comfortable and the house was very clean.
The only small minor (and they are minor) inconveniences were the AC systems were finicky. The return/thermostat is in the hallway, which made it very hard not to freeze out the bedrooms when the doors are closed at night. Also, don't expect a stocked kitchen. We left some basics (paper filters for the coffee maker, olive oil, soy sauce, sugar) but there was none of that stuff there to use when we arrived. They have pots/pans, but no real cooking supplies.
However, the house was comfortable, well located, and very clean and livable. Communication from Vacasa was very good. All in all, a very good experience.

This is a newly updated beautiful home. My family of 4 had a very enjoyable stay. The beds are super comfortable and the home is very clean. You will not regret booking this home. Highly recommend

This was a very nice property and met the majority of my expectations. Everything was well-furnished and it was very comfortable (although a little tricky to figure out the heating). The setting was beautiful, but be prepared for very bumpy, dirt roads to get there! And the key box is very tricky to open and the front door is even trickier to open! I had inquired before our visit as to the type of coffee maker and if the grill would be available. Unfortunately the responses I received did not match what was there on arrival. We were able to remedy things ourselves and get reimbursed, but it was just a pain that you shouldn't have to deal with things like that when you are vacationing AND you thought ahead to inquire. Also, it may have been noted, but I did not realize that the only full bathroom connected to the master and to the opposite hallway. Not a lot of privacy. All in all, this was a nice VRBO property, had no real problems, and was a very private getaway during Covid. Our family of 3 enjoyed the Christmas week there, especially the quick access the forest trails. If we hadn't encountered some minor problems, I would definitely give this property five stars.

We loved our stay at this beautiful home in West Tisbury. The home was very clean and recently updated with beautiful furnishings and decor. It was very comfortable for our family of four. The kitchen was well equipped, and the outdoor shower and deck was nice to come home to after a day at the beach. There were many special touches like beach chairs, umbrella, and totes to make our beach days more comfortable. The location was perfect. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with walking and biking trails that lead to beautiful pastures. Not to mention one of the nicest beaches on the island is right down the street! Another bonus is having central air. Not many houses we’ve rented on the island have it! We’d definitely stay here again!

The Island Retreat home is the perfect getaway for those looking to experience all the Vineyard has to offer. The ideal location from/to the ferry as well as all the enjoyable Vineyard towns makes for a fun filled vacation. The quiet, private neighborhood and back deck provide a great setting to enjoy a morning coffee or an afternoon/evening cocktail. Lambert's Cove (5 min drive) and its beautiful, private beach make for hours of sun-filled relaxation. The house has all the comforts of home while still always feeling like you're "away". We highly recommend the Island Retreat home!

Outdoor shower head did not work. Two chandeliers were on the dining room table when we arrived, fixed the next day. Getting gas for the grill was like pulling teeth. Phone contact with VACASA was more than frustrating especially in getting responses.

Completely remodeled interior made for a pleasant stay. Huge master bed with memory foam mattress was a pleasure to sink into after a long day biking, beaching, etc. Grocery store and biking trails close by.

You are in a peaceful setting tucked away from some of the craziness of OB and Edgartown. Definitely would recommend!

I’ve rented houses regularly on MV for the last 6 years and this is one of the nicest houses I’ve rented! In fact, I rented this house twice this summer (once for a work trip and then again for vacation)
It is recently renovated and we enjoyed many of the amenities. Specifically the back deck, outdoor shower, and kitchen. Love that it comes stocked with some beach going accessories like chairs and beach totes.
You are in a peaceful setting tucked away from some of the craziness of OB and Edgartown. Definitely would recommend!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home in West Tisbury. The home was very clean and recently updated with beautiful furnishings and decor. It was very comfortable for our family of four.
