This dog-friendly property sits just across the street from the beach, offering views of the coastline from the front of the house, views of the lake from out back, and at-home comforts that include a private two-person hot tub, a hammock, and a gas grill to welcome you home from your daily adventures. There's even a spin bike to help you keep up with your daily workout routine! What's nearby: This house sits half a block from a beach access point, less than a mile stroll from the heart of downtown Rockaway Beach. Explore the fun eateries and sweet shops in town, visit the International Police Museum, or catch a ride on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. You'll be five miles north of Garibaldi, where you can pick up some fresh seafood at the Garibaldi Marina, and 13 miles north of the famous Tillamook Creamery. Things to know: Free WiFi Full kitchen Dog-friendly for a nightly fee The hot tub is for two people only If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Second bathroom down a scary set of stairs in the basement. It’s a nice bathroom but I wouldn’t try using it at night. Great views from both front and back decks. Clean and comfortable.

Great spot for a girls weekend with our dogs! Nice lake and ocean views, especially for the price. Ocean view hot tub was really great after a fun day. Nice quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!

My husband myself and some relatives stayed. It was close to fishing and it was comfortable. Drive was a lot steeper than pictured but we made do.

My family loved the home. Very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. There is a beautiful view from either side with chairs to sit and relax. Close beach access, close driving to restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at this property (2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog) and loved it. It felt like a relative's beach/lake house that had been in the family for a few generations. Some great modern upgrades within a home with some history. Would recommend and absolutely see coming back again next year.
Pros:
1) About a 15 minute walk outside of Rockaway. We loved walking the beach into town for a coffee every morning. Was great being just outside of the day-visitor activity.
2) The wraparound deck. It gives you both a lake and ocean view (Dining table is lakeside, Hot tub and deck chairs are ocean side). Also feels modern with composite material. (No wood splinters!)
3) Kitchen applicances, hot tub, and grill are all pretty modern. (guessing under 5 years old). Kitchen well stocked with things needed to cook - all you need to bring is food.
4) Off street parking. House is up a hill. I lot of homes in the neighborhood has parking on the street/alley so this was nice.
Cons:
1) TV and living room are facing the ocean. This means the screen glare is massive under the sun goes down. It impacted out kids once, but for the most part we didn't need the tv so was very minor for us.
2) The outside of the house has a lot of metal corrosion. This mattered as some of the door handles and propane grill tanks are beginning to fail.
3) Washer and Dryer are old. They get the job done, however; you might need to run the dryer twice. (About 50/50 for us)
Overall: 9/10!

The view was great and the house was fine, but there were some issues. There only 2 washcloths and 2 hand towels. There was ZERO ice, even though there were 5 empty ice trays in the freezer. That was a pain since we arrived late and had to go back out. There are TWO boxes for the keys, which was a little confusing at first. Towels were not dry when put away, so when we went to take showers, they were already damp and musty. Not good. Dug around till we found some dry ones in a cabinet. The rug in front of the upstairs bath is gross…dirty and old. Not sure if I’d choose this place again or not.

Everything was great, except the hot tub. It's disingenuous to include "hot tub" as a listed amenity when it includes no instructions, faded labels on the buttons, and ultimately, doesn't work. By the time we actually got it turned on, it would go only up 1 degree in temperature every hour. We had to check out before it even became usable.

Per the pictures, We weren’t expecting the huge house in front of home, or the back deck to be above the road. Other than that the home was great and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay Thanks!

This home suited our needs perfectly. Loved the location. The views were wonderful. Cozy home. Just right. Only exception would be that we’d planned on enjoying the fire place upon arrival. However, wood is not supplied, so be sure to bring some with you.

Good location, home needs some TLC- new interior paint. The lock was rusted and would not open so we couldn’t use hot tub.

This lil house is well loved! Owners thought of everything I would need! I enjoyed the locations so much… the fireplace and the hot tub were the absolute cherry on top. I will go back to the Pacific Hideaway again!

The place was very comfortable and well-stocked and bright. It was one row off the beach so if you are looking for a front row seat to ocean view maybe pick something else. Having said that, there was an ok obstructed ocean view to the front even w the house in front of it and the lake view to the back was nice as well. The beds were comfy. All in all, it was a great stay and we really enjoyed it.

Sunrise over the lake and sunsets over the ocean. Gorgeous! We loved the hot tub, played cornhole every day, and our dogs had the best time on the beach. I’d like to come back here.

Great home. We’ll stocked with plenty of towels, bedding, and kitchen gadgets. Colorful and comfortable with lots of natural light and great views from the deck.
Ended up being too many stairs for our elderly large dog. Long flight of stairs to get in/out of house, another set of rip rap stairs down to the beach. Not suitable for people (or dogs) with mobility issues, but a fabulous stay and we would stay again.

I can say location is great and makes it easy for all beach activities.
Using Vacasa is a joke. They are 100% corporate and don’t care. I would check if your property is a Vacasa property before booking.
The property I’m sure was nice once. It’s pretty clear it’s been let go. To spend the hat we did and get what we got was very disappointing.
The entire house is essentially a giant spider web. I’ve never seen that many spiders in my life. Both inside and out. Any fear of those this isn’t your place.
There is several things that would be nice to use but are broke. Hammock broke, hot tub cover broke. All chairs outside entrenched in cob webs, swiffer broken, cabinets hanging on by one henge.
I think this was a property that was built with love, but after becoming a rental is now just a money printing machine that doesn’t have anything put back into it.
Becuase of Vacasa misleading us we had to get a hotel and pay extra.
This property should be less a night with current condition.

Great beach house with easy beach access. It's really fun with all the different beach items in the home. Comfortable. Great front deck and great back deck with a view of Lake Lytle.

This house was amazing! The views of the ocean and the lake are spectacular. We loved the kitchen/living area being so open. The wrap around deck was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and laundry area have all you could ask for. It's a very short walk to the beach. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

The place was spotless when we arrived! That was really nice to see. The amenities were exactly as advertised -we loved the fact there were so many towels available! It was a 2 minute walk to the beach which was also nice; unfortunately the weather was terrible for our stay but having a nice house to stay at helped make our stay better.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It is in a great location. Well stocked with everything you need. Very close to the beach and the view was great too. Loved the hot tub and King bed was very cozy! We had great weather. The starry night skies were a favorite! I highly recommend this house for your stay.

We enjoyed our 3 nights here immensely!
My husband and I came with another couple friend - we didn’t realize the bathroom was in between the two doors of the rooms - not a ton of privacy. We also didn’t realize the second bathroom was way downstairs- oops! But we figured out a system for privacy :)
The hot tub was cozy for 2. 3 people would have been awkward and 4 would have been really weird lol aside from that we LOVED it here! Close to beach and lake fun games available!! Fully stocked kitchen and amazing views. We highly recommend this for a larger family or people who don’t need lots of privacy.
