Lorsque nous sommes arrivés à La Chanterie, à Cahors, ma femme et moi avons été accueillis avec une agréable cordialité par monsieur Vincent Ferry .
Avec bienveillance et attention, il nous fit visiter son meublé touristique ce qui facilita grandement le confort de notre séjour .
Celui-ci est situé dans le centre historique de la ville, lieu à partir duquel il est très facile de s'organiser pour tous projets de découvertes et pour toutes nécessités de subsistance .

The location couldn't have been more central but was very quiet in an ancient alleyway of the Old Town close to the river. The building was old and full of character, quirky maybe (see below), yet the apartment had all the facilities needed for comfort.
The apartment was on 2 levels entered on the first floor. The bedroom was downstairs (street level) behind french doors and timber shutters, the latter needing to be kept closed for privacy unless you wanted to be seen by all who pass by. However upstairs was bright and private. The staircase down to the bedroom was very steep which might be an issue for some.

Wonderful location and equipped apartment. The host was prompt and helpful with texting.
It advertised as air conditioned, but there was just one inside unit that did do the job. Of course, it was a very hot day, so maybe isn’t usually a problem.

This property is top notch and has everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed our stay. The fan cooled us down at night during a hot heatwave.
We would happily stay there again for sure.
We would have liked insect screens on the window which we had open during the hot weather. We only saw one mosquito anyway but a screen would have reassured us.

A possible concern for some people would be the steep steps down to the bedroom.

Basic but good location for centre and restaurants. Good value for money and friendly host.
Steep stairs down to bedroom, so not great if you need to get up in the night for the bathroom.

The apartment is located in the ‘Old Town’ and it is easy to walk to all the monuments.
Access to the apartment ( on the first floor) is by a spiral, timber staircase, but the bedroom is on the lower level ( so you go downstairs to the bedroom.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable.

Very good location central in the historic centre, on a very quiet small street. The apartment and especially the kitchen was very well equipped. We did not meet the host, but he was very present and helpfull on sms. There is a great restaurant just around the corner: La petite auberge. We booked an hour in advanced and without that we probably had not got a table.
The furnishing was a bit thight - in order to get everything into a narrow room. The bed room is one very steep staircase down - not ideal for elderly people who needs to get up at night...
