New, very clean and daily room service.
The breakfast was lacking so many items such as eggs etc. More or less only bread is provided

Nos gustó absolutamente todo. La ubicación ideal a 5-10 min caminando del centro de Ponta Delgada. Nos sentimos como en casa, las chicas del hostel María y Luisa son un amor, muy atentas y dispuestas a ayudar. El desayuno bueno, las instalaciones decoradas con mucho gusto y personalidad, nuestra habitación muy acogedora. Teníamos a nuestra disposición una cocina que siempre viene genial, recomendamos muchísimo este alojamiento, repetiríamos sin duda!

The Holy Cow exceeded my highest expectations! My friend and I reserved a double room with private bath and the room was comfortable, clean, simple and tastefully decorated. The whole place was bright and friendly, conveniently located within a short walk from the historic center of Ponta Delgada. Maria was our host and was so welcoming and helpful, and her suggestions made our wonderful stay on Saõ Miguel even better. The breakfast that was included was always delicious, the enclosed yard was so nice, and the kitchen was spotless and well-stocked with cookware that made it easy to prepare other meals. I would definitely stay at the Holy Cow again if I get the chance to return to Ponta Delgada!

The location is fantastic, the check-in/check out process was simple and well explained, the whole atmosphere of the holy cow is relaxing and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very clean, the shower is great and the bed was very comfy. Lastly the knowledge of the owner, Gonçalo, was vast and incredibly helpful when it came to planning our outings.

Super friendly staff, great hospitality and it felt like home. Always coffee and tea available and you could make use of the kitchen which was clean and well maintained. Delicious breakfast and perfect location. Quiet area.

Excellent accommodation. We had the private room with bathroom. Very clean and comfortable with access to a kitchen and common area. Breakfast everyday at 8am. We had a rental car and manged to park outside for free relatively easily. Obviously not as convenient as having own private parking, but very doable. Very close to downtown Ponta Delgada. The host was extremely helpful and gave us very useful tips. Would 100% recommend.

The stay at The Holy Cow Hostel was simply perfect! The host Gonçalo was very welcoming and every day he gave us a lot of tips and recommendations what to do and where to eat, almost like a private tour guide. The hostel is very new, modern and structured in a practical way. You could take fresh towels every day for going to the various thermal baths, which was very convenient. The location was great, with less than 10 minutes walking distance to the city centre. I would definitely go there again. 10/10!
There were no big negative aspects but If I had to pick some "negative" points, then maybe there could have been a bigger mirror in the room and the bed could have been a little bigger (I think the double bed was "only" queen size, but not 100% sure).

I had a double bedroom for myself and was totally comfortable with it. Especially the nice bed and the shower were two big advantages of the room. Furthermore, it was perfectly clean and there was room service every day! The breakfast was extraordinary and a good possibilty to talk to the owner about your plans for the day or anything about your stay. The owner and stuff were always kind and helpful.

the location was amazing. not quite in the city centre, ~ 10min walk. the host and staff were amazing and helpful and so friendly !!
the bed wasn’t the most comfortable but the bunks all had outlets, usb, a basket, and a lamp so not all bad!

A very convenient lodging, close to the town center as well as to the airport. The room was modern, clean and compact. Breakfast tasty and fulfilling. Our host was helpful and kind.

Nice hostel with a great location in Ponta Delgada and to explore the island. The owner, Concalo, was very helpful and gave lots of great tips to what to do and where to eat. I very much enjoyed my stay here.

such a lovely place, would recommend this stay strongly to everybody visiting ponta delgada. the staff was so kind and prepared a lovely early breakfast as we had an early flight and helped us organise a transport. the room was modern, very clean and spacious, we even had 2 bathrooms. our small kids were treated super friendly and we really felt at home. the location has a short walking distance to the city. wifi was very good.

We especially liked the pleasant atmosphere and the beautiful furnishings. We felt at home here. Checking in at night worked out great. Our host was super helpful in planning the day's tours. Thank you very much, we would love to come back!

The staff was great! Goncalo helped us every morning with the best recommendations that made our stay the best!
The location was perfect, parking very close was available all the time and all bars and restaurant in the city were only 5-10 min easy walk from our room.

As a Solo traveller I felt safe and welcome. I had all the amenities I needed, comfortable bed, a/c and a television.
