Great location, close to all the attractions in Wilmington and Lake Placid, nice shared facilities, BBQs and fire pits. Cabins are spacious and comfortable but a bit dated. Kitchen was well stocked, coffee machine and pods was a nice extra to have.

Campfire, great location, comfy beds
We liked all.

We loved having our own cabin and the feature of having an outdoor fire pit was amazing! The beds were comfortable! It was also nice to have a refrigerator, microwave, and toaster! Upon check in we ran into the woman who runs the property and she was very helpful!
The door was hard to lock and the screen door didn’t shut all the way! I also wish the refrigerator was in the main room other than in the bathroom.

The location and Michelle (housekeeping). There is a metal garden set next to the cottage but cushions are missing, so you can’t sit on it.
Michelle provided a thick plaid, so that we had some comfort..
Everything. The cabin (Tamarack) is outdated, rundown and needs a lot of maintenance. Carpets very old, windows broken, paint peels. The restaurant is closed (for more than 2 years). There was trash in the garden around our cottage. The photos on booking.com (and text about the bar/restaurant) don’t correspond to reality. It is a mystery to us where the high rates come from. Something is not right here.

Beds were really comfortable and the room was very clean. Firewood available onsite and every chalet has a fireplace. Windows are modern and open easily. Blinds worked well. Plenty of space to spread out. microwave and fridge. Hosts were friendly, responsive and accommodating. Great location in Wilmington, but close to hiking, biking and restaurants.
No issues.

Everything..It’s a very peaceful and serene area. The cabins are super clean and cozy. we stayed at the Spruce Cabin. We also traveled with pets and we looove the fact that they accommodated all of our animals, that’s a huge plus. it’s very hard to find a really nice cabin that lets you have pets.
The lights in the rooms don’t work, only the lamps.

Private and quite cabins in a beautiful location, nature all around. Real wood fireplace, add to the romantic and cozy atmosphere. It was easy and quick access and communication with the owners. Parking and free wifi available.
Convenient location, 5 min to ski Whiteface Mnt. and 15 min to Lake Placid sites and downtown village, restaurants, local shops and entertainment.

We haven't been to the Wilderness Inn for a number of years. The new owners have updated the cabins and, thankfully, the beds. We had stayed there many times in the past, so the location was ideal for our purposes - winter hiking. This is our first time in Hemlock (the cabin). We realize that improvements are ongoing, but we loved the place and the staff (Michelle?) was very accommodating.
The bathtub faucet drips a little, but that's not a big deal, and it will be fixed.

Easy access and check-in. Easy and fast exchanges with owners, who were very available to accommodate any request. Our lovely equipped cabin, away from the road. The fact that our dog was most welcome.

Private cabins 2 min away from Whiteface Mnt. Very close to Lake Placid Olympic sites, High Falls Gorge and Mnt. Van Hoevenberg.

We stayed in the Spruce. It was warm and cozy and perfect for our family getaway to North Pole, NY. Although the Inn is older, it has character and charm, and is clean. The owners are fantastic and met us in person upon our arrival to ensure we were comfortable. I highly recommend if your looking for something that has more space than a hotel room.

no one was there to assist us as we did not have wifi and we did not receive to info. this was our own fault for not sending the correct email.

The owners have done a bit of work around the property since the last time I stayed 5 months ago. Looks like they put a new stove in the cabin and had phased out some of the worn furniture/furnishings in the cabin. Also, seems like there were more cable channel options compared to last time.
nothing.

The cabin was quaint and beautiful. The water was hot and the water pressure was amazing! Perfect for a couple getaway. It was everything we hoped for in a cabin. We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy to come back to the cabin after full days of hiking. It was warm enough and the windows allowed for a nice breeze. Yann met us at the cabin as we checked in to introduce himself and give us a rundown of thw cabin. Very personable and easy to work with.
