Zum Zentrum muss man ca 15Min laufen, ist aber ok

In mijn 5 weekse reis door Ecuador ben ik in totaal 10 dagen in Secret Garden geweest. Na een week spaanselessen en acclimatiseren op hoogte. Kwam ik iedere keer toch weer terug. Dat zegt voldoende... Het personeel is behulpzaam en vriendelijk onder andere Mario (receptie) en Miguel (mijn spaanse leraar), maar ook het barpersoneel, de rest van de medewerkers van de receptie, waarvan ik de namen niet weet, zorgde ervoor dat ik me snel thuisvoelde. Ook de dames van de wasserette o.a. Martha zorgde voor een goede service. De kamers zijn netjes en schoon. Er zijn kluisjes in de kamers en de kamers waar ik heb geslapen waren ruim van stuk. Het personeel helpt met alles en is zeer vriendelijk. Het is erg prettig dat er een travelagancy beneden zit. Zij helpen met verschillende tours en transfers. Aanrader de fietstour en foodtour van Edwin! Dagtrip otavalo en natuurlijk de cotopaxi secret garden. Ligging in de straat zitten al enkele leuke restaurantjes en winkeltjes en om de hoek een gym. Loopafstand van oude centrum en mooi uitzicht vanuit rooftop.

Brandalarm dat eerste week enkele keren afging. Sommige kluisjes rammelen, waardoor zachtjes doen in de dorm wat moeilijker is. Nadeel voor backpackers die langer reizen. Geen ruimte om te koken. Voor mij niet van toepassing, maar wellicht we iets voor in de toekomst.

Meilleur hôtel de la ville de loin. Très bon rapport qualité prix, la vue sur Quito est imprenable le bar restaurant est bon et Mario est un super hôte.

Amazing! Loved it here loved the views and the bed was comfy. We had a private room the toilet was clean and when using the shared shower they were clean too.

The staff are questionable here… we stayed a few nights prior to this booking and ordered food and it took forever to come… had to go and remind them & when I went to remind them the staff were pouring rum and other sprites straight from the bottle into each others mouths and guests mouths. Weird. Food is good though. Rain burger is great.

Clean room and shared bathroom. Lovely view from terrace while having breakfast. Yummy avo toast. Staff super helpful re planning transport and activities and giving recommendations. Good location.

Booked a double bedroom for my husband and I, the room was a bit small with no where to put clothes. No facilities within the room. A bit noisy, you can hear guests upstairs and loud music until 11pm. Quite expensive compared to other accomodations around Ecuador.

Perfect experience! A lot of people but also a lot of private space! Party or live music till 11, but then it's quiet amd people have the option to go to a partybus. If you are in a room/dorm on the first level you don't hear any noise! Great food and very good prices and happy hours. Perfect mix of meeting new people and have a relaxed time.

I loved the view from the roof.

They advertise the rooftop restaurant, then reserve all the tables along the edge of the balcony every night for non-hostel guests...that felt like a disingenuous surprise.

Ótima opção de hospedagem no centro da cidade. O hostal oferece de tudo pago à parte, desde café da manhã até roupa lavada. Boa estrutura.

Hôtel bien situé, jolie chambre, belle terrasse sur le toit. Nuit très calme.

Promiscuité d’une auberge de jeunesse avec beaucoup de va-et-vient. Réception au dernier étage. Personnel peu attentionné et peu attentif (erreur dans la réservation du taxi). Chambre petite, dans mobilier. Toutes les fenêtres donnent sur l’escalier central, qui est à ciel ouvert. Restaurant sur le toit, exposé à tous vents, froid le soir, avec mauvais service.

I stayed here again a couple of night before I flew home. Like my first review, I like it because it's centrally located. The room I got this time was at the ground level so it's quieter. The bartender made the best cocktail.

The staff weren't focused when I was checking out which wasn't a big deal, probably because they partied too much the night before. :)

Centrally located, walking distance to most sights, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms (there are plenty) are clean. The view of the city and hills from the roof top is great. It's convenient having their tour agency at the lobby. The walking tour is very informative, and the party bus is a bonus if you like to party!

The stairs but it's really not a big deal! ;)

Super easy to book tours with them, the tour desk opens from 7am and closes at 11pm. All prices are reasonable and some even lower than tour operators. Highly reliable

Me gustó las áreas comunes como las dos Terrazas que tiene en las que se puede sociabilizar y conocer otros viajeros. También cada cama dispone de toma corrientes y lámpara. Las instalaciones son modernas y limpias. El personal es amable y realizan varias actividades para integrar a sus usuarios.

Que los costos de bebidas y comida son bastante elevados. Y que el área del recepción está en el último piso y no en el primero.

Fijne kamer, die tevens schoon was. Goede prijs voor wat je kreeg. Pluspunt is het restaurant en de services die het hotel levert. Je kunt van allerlei tourtjes en tochtjes boeken. Er werd ook goed advies gegeven over welke wijken wel en niet te komen i.v.m. de veiligheid. In het restaurant krijg je ruim korting als je daar gast bent. Het eten is top.

Het is wel echt een jongeren hotel waar mensen continue in en uit lopen. Er wordt wel op het geluid gelet (na 23.00 uur muziek van het restaurant uit bijvoorbeeld), maar het is toch wel een klein beetje rumoerig. Maar met oordopjes makkelijk op te lossen! De kamer was klein en had geen ramen.

La chambre à un lit trop petit, il n'y a pas un seul endroit où on peut accrocher les vêtements ou les ranger. Prix : 37 €. Le restaurant très cher(plus cher que les autres auberges ou j'ai séjourné, même Galapagos....). Pendant check out (j'ai réglé mon séjour à l'aveil) ils ont voulu me chargé de 29,75. J'étais vraiment surprise. Après vérification de contenu de commande, il s'avère que mon l'addition est égal 9,53 €. Je trouve ça bizzard. L'ambiance est agréable mais l'odeur dans les toilettes insupportable. Et quand on paye 37€ on peut espérer un salle de bain privatif....

Loved absolutely everything. The walking tour was good. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The showers were piping hot. The bar and breakfast were Stella. They even had two little puppies which was lovely because I was missing mine so much. Would definitely stay again. Felt very safe.

The rooftop is an absolute highlight and the hostel offers many activities for the guests. The food tour was amazing. After 11p.m. it got quieter which was nice. Guests have a discount at the bar/restaurant which makes the prices ok. If you are looking for party, this is your place but it wasn't my type of hostel and I will go elsewhere next time. But neverthrless the beds are confortable, the hostel is very clean and it is nice to watch the cirty from thr rooftop.

I didn't feel very welcomed as the staff didn't really care to explain to me what the hostel offers. I found out eventually by talking to other guests. Only the bottom beds have curtains. There are not many common areas to chill, no kitchen and the restaurant doesn't offer local cuisine. The hostel is very big and it felt like it doesn't need to make an effort anymore as guests are coming anyways.

Check in vanaf 12:00 werd 15:30 en stond dat check out tot 00:00 mogelijk was maar dit was niet het geval. Personeel niet echt vriendelijk en spreken niet goed Engels waardoor vaak alles langzaam ging voor andere die geen Spaans spreken. Kamers klein en gehorig. Geen raam. Foto’s van wat je boekt klopt niet met wat je krijgt.

The hostel is super social and really safe. They have activities running all the time and have a shuttle service to Cotopaxi so you can easily go between the two places. All the staff were lovely and helpful, especially Miguel when I first arrived and Ale, who gave me some recommendations for my next stop Peru. Both also spoke amazing English which is great if your Spanish isn’t the best and both were happy to help with me practicing my Spanish. Overall amazing hostel with great staff!
