My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here-- we were given one of the two bedroomed houses on the street which was cosy, quiet and beautiful.Late in the evening the power went out so we had candles provided by the hotel which made it very atmospheric..
Dinner in the main dining room was a wonderful experience it was cozy, romantic and like stepping back a hundred years

Lovely Karoo style townhouse accomodation in Cradock. Great dinner when we arrived fairly late that evening after a day on the road. Our house was fitted with everything we could have needed.

The main hotel and restaurant are beautiful and full of gorgeous character. Food was delicious!
The light in the lounge of our house didn't work.

Heerlijk al die oud Engels ingerichte kamers.
Grote huisjes meestal 2 grote 2 pers. bedden en 2 x badkamer met douche en bad .
Een woord SUPPER. Avondeten is heerlijk en in een weelderig restaurant.
Ontbijt goed.
Helemaal niets.

Very central location, full of character, and the aircon is great in the middle of summer.
The house (Karoo) had been restored, but general maintenance seemed to be lacking. The back door was diffult to open and close, as was the driveway gate. The grips of both basin taps in the bathroom were broken.

We so enjoyed our stay. The houses are tastefully decorated with crisp clean linen and comfortable beds. Our hearty Karoo dinner at the Hotel was superb!
The breakfast could have offered a little more and was missing little additions like honey for tea and toast. It was still a delicious breakfast!

The cottage was clean and the bed were comfortable and the linen was clean. We had a great time, there. When I asked to extend my check out time, the owner was super understanding and did not hesitate to say yes because it was a sudden change but he was so understanding about it. I am definitely going back, there soon and I will have a breakfast this time because we didn't have one when we stayed there. It was a wonderful place to be.♡

Buffet dinner would have been even better if there was a lamb curry on offer

The beautiful antique furnishings was an absolutely delight, it made me feel as if I was back in time. The little home was clean, beautiful cutlery and well placed. Staff were amazing and very helpful.
One thing I didn’t enjoy was the elderly white lady at the main counter. She seems a tad rude or better said offish if that’s a word. I think she needs to leave her staff to do the work. I didn’t enjoy her energy.

Room was really good but let down by food.
The food offering at both breakfast and dinner was well below my expectations. In other properties in the Karoo the food has been great.

De sfeer van vroeger, je logeert letterlijk in een museum
We hadden een heel huis ter beschikking!

Lokatie en een heel huis voor de prijs van een kamer.
Best ver lopen naar het restaurant.

Fantastic staff who are really helpful, particularly enjoyed Vernon, who was eager to have conversations.
Facilities were up to standard, beautiful with large living areas with all the necessities and showers with warm water.
Buffet breakfast was also a winner.
Downside is unfortunately the noise level from a nearby partying establishment which only settled down at around 2AM.
This is obviously out of Victoria Manor' control but is not ideal.

Entrance at the hotel is terrible and my vehicle was ruptured as it is a low-profile vehicle. This matter has been reported to the lady owner of the property but has done nothing to address and fix the entrance for parking purposes.
The lady owner of the property was informed on numerous occasions to fix the entrance to the car park of the hotel but has decided to ignore those suggestions from her own employees. I will be submitting an invoice to the hotel regarding my vehicle's damages.

We were in need of a one night stop over and travelling with pets. this place is truly pet friendly and the staff went the extra mile to accommodate us and the dogs. they assisted with getting meals to us at the unit so we did not need to leave the dogs unattended. the style and finish of the unit we were in was awesome!
Firewood that was provided was wet.
