Hospitable hosts, beautiful garden, lovely accommodation, lovely and relaxing in the summer house

Beautiful cottage gardens to enjoy and relaxing summer house available. Nicely decorated interior, well facilitated kitchenette and bonus of a few breakfast bits included.

Bed was slightly uncomfortable, could perhaps benefit from a topper

Brilliant for relaxing in lovley surroundings a beautiful quite village

The hosts lived next door and informed about the key the whole experience was great our hosts were very friendly and the accommodation was lovley and the garden was like a bit of paradise so relaxing to sit out in will defiantly go again

The mattress could have been a bit better but everything else was perfect

Very enjoyable great hosts

Great location, beautiful property, Hosts were helpful but respectfully distant. The small things like supplying fresh bread, milk, homemade jam a d marmalade Definitely would book again

Beautiful garden, beautiful quaint cottage, lovely hosts that go above and beyond to make you feel welcome!

The mattress in the bed was uncomfortable as it dipped on one side.

Good, spacious property, worked well for our needs. Good alternative to a hotel room.

Lovely location, close to where we needed to be. Beautiful gardnens. Breakfast was not included but our hosts very kindly provided bread, jam, biscuits, milk, etc. Much appreciated.

We weren’t there for very long, but facilities were a little dated, although perfectly efficient.

The accommodation was cosy and had everything you needed. There were a few extras on arrival (bread/milk/homemade jam and marmalade) which was a lovely extra. The hosts were friendly.

The decor was dated and the bedroom looked out into the communal gardens so it wasn't really possible to open the blinds. The wifi stopped working which was a bit irritating. I didnt mention it to the hosts though because it was in the evening and I was leaving the next morning - maybe they would have been able to resolve it. There was someone's tshirt left under the bed too

Our hosts were welcoming and happy to accommodate our every need. It was truly "home away from home" just smaller :) We had gorgeous sunshine during our stay so had friends over for a BBQ in the lush garden. Later as we watched the sunset with a glass of wine and as the cool night crept in we moved into the warm summer house for afew games of poker before our friends left -happy and content.

Di and Barry are a testimony to the fact that good folks still exist! Gorgeous cottage!!

A very lovely cottage set in a small tranquil village. I had turned up late at night. The hosts took liability for a 3rd-party over-booking error. They put me up in a lovely room upstairs in their home and refunded my payment for that night! And they set out a full English breakfast for me in the morning (Not included in the deal!). I then stayed at the Lavender barn the second night. I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and the waterfall in the garden pond; to the smell of an assortment of flowers in an idyllic tranquil garden-laden Cottage. Tranquility is indeed medicine for the mind.

It is hard to improve on excellence!

Great place beautiful surroundings

The extra touches of home made jam left with other essentials for our arrival. Both the property and the gardens are stunning another wonderful surprise were the bird feeders and the variety of birds. Would highly recommend this beautiful compact cottage and the great hosts

Idyllic little cottages

Moat cottage barns is a barn conversion on a plot with the main house (with a thatched roof!) in the midst of a beautiful garden. It must be heaven in the summertime as it was charming in the autumn. There is a cosy porch where one can enjoy a morning cuppa overlooking the flowers as well as the summer house. The lavender cottage suits couples. It has large bedroom, a spacious shower room and a little but well-equiped kitchen suitable to prepare meals. The bedding is comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked: there were teas, coffees, oil, salt, pepper for cooking. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly. They left some eggs, butter and homemade jam as I've been arriving late. They went out of their way to help me with my logistics. I can highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Northamptonshire.

Unfortunately, the cottage is only accessible by car. There was a bus stop near the turn to Little Oackley but it seems not operating any longer. The taxi from Corby station costs around £15.

Wonderful, quaint cottage

Everything was lovely. Garden was beautiful. Cottage was quaint, had everything you needed and a few extra touches. The couple were lovely and were willing to help with anything.

The base of the bed was very noisy. Shower needs a new shower head.

Great little home away from home with a beautiful garden.

The beautiful garden, the warm welcome, the chatty hosts with loads of local knowledge, the home made jam (delicious), the relaxing ambience. Its so peaceful.

The place is beautiful so its difficult to dislike anything but if I had to change one thing I'd just ask for bigger towels but everything else is simply perfect. An absolutely fantastic little home away from home.

Barry and Sheila were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Milk, bread and homemade jam provided. Lots of leaflets on places to visit and a map in the barn. The beautiful garden was so relaxing. Lavender Barn was lovely and cosy and very quite. Very dog friendly too.
