Situated in Harrisonburg, this lovely house for $376 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Modern Stately home on a large hill on the edge of the City of Harrisonburg, The home is in the super quiet neighborhood of Park View. Massanutten and the Blue ridge mountains in the front. The Allegheny mountains and miles of rolling farmland in the back. THE CITY REQUIRES THAT THE OWNER LIVE ON THE PROPERTY FULL TIME. HOWEVER, IT IS IN A COMPLETELY SEPARATE DWELLING NEXT TO THE GARAGE OF THE SAME STUCTURE. THERE IS NO DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE MAIN HOUSE. Once you arrive you cannot believe you are in only 5 minutes from downtown, JMU and EMU. The chef's kitchen was designed by a local Restaurateur. The George Washington and Jefferson National forest and The Shenandoah national park are all about 30 minutes away. You can also visit Skyline Drive, The Appalachian Trail and Massanutten Resort. We have tons to do for kids like the national parks and forests, Luray, Grand, and Shenandoah caverns, river rafting, biking, Massanutten water park, Explore more children's museum, Frontier culture museum which has a lot of activities and plenty of parks and a community pool. We allow a maximum of 12 people including children for overnight. Due to neighborhood restrictions Gatherings must be less than 16 people and over by 10pm and NO outside noise other than a normal conversation after 10pm. In house catering services available.. We have a pack and play but you must bring your own sheets and blankets for it.

Great house with lots of room. The fifth bedroom is actually the living room, but the young adults didnt mind. Plenty of room to spread out. Wonderful chef's kitchen. AMAZING VIEWS

I hate to leave a review like this, but I want to warn other VRBO renters. First of all, the views and location of this property were the BEST things about it. Located close to Harrisonburg, VA and great sweeping views of the valley. Now for the laundry list of what we encountered. Owner NEVER returned our calls regarding our check in process because he was in a foreign country!!! The good news/bad news was we discovered an UNLOCKED side door to this house and let ourselves in. No information about whom to contact. Found his daughter's name scribbled on a paper and was able to reach her. Garbage cans were overflowing. Mailbox filled with a week's worth of mail. There were three UPS notes hanging on the door. Outside area just generally looking "tired." We are not a snobby family, but this was just unacceptable, and the powers that be at VRBO were not much help either. It was embarrassing to think that we booked this for a family vacation with two 84 year old parents who look to their three children for a safe, secure booking. Please beware!

We stayed at David's home for our son's graduation from JMU PA program and the house was perfect! David kept it immaculate and the space/bedrooms were fantastic. We hosted an impromptu open house for the graduates and the space worked out perfectly. The location could not have been more convenient to the campus, the downtown and everything we needed to do. The views were to die for - one view was the local countryside and the other direction was overlooking the town. David was a gracious host and the house was fantastic.

We celebrated Thanksgiving with our family in this beautiful home on top of a hill overlooking both mountain ranges. The kitchen was superb with double ovens, 6 burner range top and two sinks. The bedrooms were all good size, as were the bathrooms. The early morning sun does make itself known in the bedrooms facing the front of the house. There was ample space to lounge around after all the eating. The grocery store is a quick drive also. Overall, a good experience for all.

This beautiful and well-stocked home was perfect for our stay in Harrisonburg for a family wedding. It was convenient to everything, including our venue. The views from both sides of the house were simply amazing-city lights and stars from the front and peaceful farmland from the back. Our host was very responsive to any questions and provided all we needed for a great home base for our stay.

This is a great place to stay with lots of upgrades to the property. The heated floor kept everyone cozy and to say that the kitchen was well stocked with equipment doesn't do it justice. The master bedroom is fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Our family group of 12, ages 15 to 80s, was extremely happy with this home when we visited Harrisonburg for a wedding, 9/10 to 9/13/21. It was in a location that was close to everything but felt like we were in the lovely countryside when we were at the home. The views of green rolling farmland out the back and the city in the front were so peaceful. We just loved standing on one of the many balconies in the morning and listening to the crickets and the distant mooing of cows. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were great, the kitchen was amazing, and we all fit around the dining table! Thank you David!

The house is beautiful. The kitchen is amazing. The location is convenient. The views….You would be hard pressed to find such views anywhere else in the Harrisonburg area. And our host quickly answered whenever we reached out. But honestly, we had very little reason to reach out. We’re already talking about coming back next summer.

Place and location was gorgeous. Sheets were changed and cleaned. The only reason I’m giving it a four is because the balconies were dirty and some of the bedroom furniture pieces were falling apart. Other than that we loved everything about it!

Beautiful four bedroom house with a spacious deck and balcony. The house offers a great view of the Shenandoah mountain range from both sides. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is plenty of sitting area. We were a group of eight and thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

We packed up and left a day early. Upstairs air conditioner was not working and 2md night it was 79 degrees. While trying to sleep. Dave was responsive to our call but unable to get service man out right away.
